Overly Sticky Gloss

I got this lip gloss in my Violet Box. After seeing so many YouTube reviews of ModelCo I was excited to try it. I love the scent, and it is a lovely neutral colour on the lips. It lasts for quite awhile which is great. My main issue with it is that it is waaay to sticky. It is supposed to be non-sticky, but it really isn't. The tube is cool, and I especially like the mirror. So overall, a nice product, but very sticky.

Eek! Nothing worse than a sticky gloss.

Passable Lipgloss

I got this lipgloss in the shade Strip Tease as part of a Violet Box. It has a nice almost fruity scent and it a very nude shade. The lipgloss is quite tacky and I have to put a think layer of Chapstick on underneath to stop myself getting too annoyed with it. The tube is quite long which makes it annoying to put in pockets (clothes and handbag) but the mirror on the side is really handy. I will be keeping this in my bag as a just in case mirror. I would possibly buy more from the range if I really liked a colour because it is so cheap. I have found myself using this regularly so even though it's not an amazing product it does the job and sometimes that's all you need.

Glossy but Sticky

I have been trying to fall back in love with lipgloss, but this was more of a sticky mess than a glossy success.

The gloss was a nice colour and looked lovely on the lips, but was also super sticky and seemed intent on catching my hair, which sort of ruined the effect.

I also personally found wearing over a lipstick seemed a bit mucky and if I did do that I would get some disposable applicators.

So love the look, but still looking for a non-sticky lipgloss.

A great nude gloss

Glosses aren't really my thing, but I received one of these in a subscription box and decided to give it a go. The first thing I noticed was how subtile it was. Now, I've been on a dark lippy kick recently, but this was a beautiful nude hue with the right amount of color. I especially thought it worked well with very dynamic eyes.

The second thing that I was impressed was that it didn't feel as sticky as most lip glosses I've tried. I could still put my lips together and not feel like they have been super glued together.

Lastly... is that strawberry I smell?? It does smell a bit like a cheap lip gloss I would have had when I was 13, but it was nice and could have been a lot worse.

In all, a nice gloss but it's one of those that I would wait to buy on sale.

Tips: Pair it with a dynamic eye - gorgeous!!

Great if you like lip glosses

I received this in the first Violet Box and used it once but won't again so gave it away. Now you see I am not a lip gloss fan so this is the only reason why I wouldn't use it again, just personal taste.

The lip gloss was in a nude/pink tone which was smooth and easy to apply, with a little soft applicator at the end of the wand. The colour was very sheer and left a thin layer of glitter dust in gold across my lips which was pretty but it was sticky, not so much tacky but after a few minutes I noticed it had all but slipped away off my lips, so if you are a fan of lip glosses and can be bothered to keep them topped up then you'll find this ok.

Packaging wise, it was really cute, in a slender tub with a very nicely fitted lid that was easy to open, with the wand securely fastened inside it. Along the body of the tub was a stuck on mirror so you can benefit from topping up whilst on the go.

Like I said it would be a lip gloss fans dream but as I am not a fan of glosses I'll pass :)

Good Nude Lip Gloss

I'm not a huge fan of lip glosses as I find they feather and go a bit weird on my lips after awhile. However I was pleasantly surprised with this Modelco one.

It has a little tackiness to it but it isn't over the top sticky, it has a nice sweet scent and I LOVED the packaging. It is so handy having a mirror on the side- makes lip touch ups so much easier. I really liked the actual tube and wand of the gloss as well. It felt really sturdy and 'expensive', reminded me of Napoleon glosses.

For me the colour was a bit average. I got 'Strip Tease' which is a very nude shimmer. With my pale skintone I looked a bit ill with the product by itself but when I layered it over some of my brighter lipsticks I really liked the effect it gave. However I did notice after half an hour the gloss had pretty much gone and I needed to reapply so it doesn't have much lasting power.

For the price I think this is a good all round nude gloss to layer over other lipsticks.

Tips: This gloss creates a subtle nude lip which would look great with a more dramatic smokey eye look.

Lucky I like this, I have four of them!

When I used to subscribe to all the beauty boxes, this company must have been doing some kind of great deal because I've managed to acquire 4 of them, all exactly the same colour!

The one I have is strip tease, in the bottle it's a gorgeous, shimmering peachy-pink but on the lips it comes off as quite clear. I like the packaging, it's a decent size with a clear tube so you can easily see what the colour is and it also has a mirror on the side. At first I thought it was kind of silly but I do find myself using it as it's the perfect size to just see your lips.

The gloss itself smells really nice, sweet like lollies. It has a doe foot applicator which I prefer for lipgloss compared to the squeeze tubes. Unlike the description though, I do find this a bit sticky and not very long lasting. It's not crazy sticky though but if it was windy, then your hair would get stuck in it.

I like to wear this by itself for just a slightly glossy lip or over a nude lipstick. actually any lipstick would be fine to wear it over, I just don't want the applicator to go a funny colour!

I'm not totally sure if i would buy it at $14, but I think I would probably buy a magazine for this if it was given away as a freebie or up to $8 on it.

I got my lipgloss in a subscription box,and although the packaging is cute with a mirror on the side the product is very sticky on your lips,I would not recomend if to others because it feels like you have sticky jam on your lips,it's not a good feeling,

Tips: You can do nothing to advoid sticky lips

Model co.. Always delivers!

I love Model co.. One of those brands that I always seem to go back to! I love how their products are freebies with magazines too.. I get so excited and buy up large lol! First off, this gloss has a beautiful consistency.. When applied to the lips it sits nicely and is in no way sticky. Its not very pigmented, its more sheer with a light shimmer.. But not childish glitter. Its beautiful worn alone for a bit of a natural glow.. Or on top of your fave lipstick! The packaging is fabulous and practical too as it has a mirror on it! Over all a really good gloss and I cant fault it!

Tips: Be aware that this is sheer with a shimmer. Its actually very complimentary alone on the lips or also over lipstick!

Definitely shines :-)

I was lucky enough to get this in my first Violet Box and I must say for a lip gloss, I was pleasantly surprised.

Formula - Unfortunately it does have that slight sticky feeling to it which I'm not that keen on, but its not super thick, so its quite bearable. Its nice and smooth and feels quite moisturising.

Tube - I really love this tube, its nice and long, so its easy to hold, not bulky, and handy to put in a handbag or purse or even in your desk at work. The one thing I'm really in love with, is the fact that it has a long mirror on the side. How many times have us gals had to quickly apply lippy or lipgloss and can't find a mirror he he he. This is such a neat design and you can use the mirror even if you don't want to use the lip gloss. Perfect for those times when we've had something to eat like spinach or broccoli and we need to check if we've got bits in our teeth lol.

Results - as far as lip gloss goes, it does what it says. It gives a nice, smooth coverage with good moisturising properties. My lips feel silky smooth with this on and this has now become one of my favourite products. I gave it a 4 because of the slight sticky formula.

Purchase again - Most definitely. I was lucky enough to not have to pay for this one, so would definitely buy it, providing it doesn't have a high end price tag. I have mine in Strip Tease, so its a nice clear, neutral colour.
