Maybelline Great Lash Mascara Review

I really wanted to like this mascara when I tried it a couple of years ago, but I just didn't. I found the wand to be too narrow and the bristles were too far apart to really coat my lashes without clumping. I don't feel like it is very buildable and don't think it gives enough length and definition to my lashes. I normally enjoy Maybelline mascaras but this one just didn't do it for me :(

Does not really do a lot for your lashes other than make them darker. Kind of clumpy and dries out quite quick so wouldn't really recommend it.

Ive tried this a couple of times...especially after hearing lots of recommendations, but never found it to be anything great. In fact its pretty average. I found it smudged really easily, and clumped on my lashes.

This was one of the first mascaras I ever owned and I didnt find it as great as it called itself. I didnt like the spiral-shaped wand, found that the mascara smudged extremely easily and I also found that it 'dropped' from my eyes as the day wore on. It also made my lashes really clumpy which is not the look I like. Overall, not to great.

This seems to be a popular makeup bag but it's definitely not for me. I had this as a teenager and while the brush and effect is pretty good it always smudges on me!

As far as I know I'm not allergic to anything, but every time I've used this mascara I have ended up with really sore red skin under my eyes - looks kind of like exzema. I thought at first that maybe I had a contaminated bottle, so I bought a new tube... same result. Won't go there again!

Hunting high and low for a great mascara, I tried this as it has been on the market for many years and recommended by many, and the price is right. It goes on easily enough, with a generous spoolie brush, a nice glossy black which plumped up my lashes. No extra length but I wasn't really looking for that anyway. Unfortuately it very quickly ended up showering down my face in little black flakes which made my eyes water. Mixed with the aforementioned black flakes I ended up with red smeary eyes. Not the look I was going for. Consigned to the bin.

My big sister always told me this was the best mascara and she swore by it so when it went on sale i got the blackest one and all it did was make my eyelashes feel rock hard and stick in some places and then be perfect in other places.

This mascara was exactly what it claims not to be, thick and lumpy. I found it very frustrating to use, will not buy again.

Not really amazing or as awesome as I thought it would be with everyones reviews :( I found because I have quite long lashes anyway it was always getting on my top eyelids and smudging my make up - its not the easiest to get off but to get the look I wanted I would need to put on around 3-4 coats :(
