Within my personal extensive lipstick collection, MAC is one of the most common brands to find, this is partly due to their Back2Mac program which gives me the opportunity to try new colours and formulas that I might not normally buy. I think they have a fantastically huge range of colours, and it seems to be constantly expanding which is excellent, so there's something for everyone. I love the range of different formulas, my favourites being cremesheen and amplified. However I do find the formulas to be pretty standard within the makeup world, I don't find them to be extra long lasting, but they also don't just slip off straight away. I'm personally not a fan of their matte and retro matte formulas, there's something about them compared to other mattes that just dry my lips out and they begin to hurt, so I just avoid those. While I think there are many better lipstick brands, I do think MAC is a great place to start!

Tips: Definitely use a reverse lip liner with the bolder colours to keep them from bleeding or feathering. Also if you're going with the matte formulas, try the MAC lip primer!
I love all my mac lipsticks o' so much the only tiny thing I can fault I have is spreadiblity (is that even a word?) with all the cremesheen formulas I own they tend to slip and slide a bit too much and the matte formulas I find dont slip enough!
Tips: Nothing that a lipliner can't fix though!!!
This was given to me as a birthday present, because I am lucky enough to suit such a red. It's absolutely fantastic, but the only problem I've had is that it makes your lips really flakey, even if they were smooth before using. If you reapply, the flakey-ness gets worse. I'd still use it again (it's my favorite color) but just as a warning to others!
Tips: Perhaps keep some lipbalm handy when using and definitely make sure your lips are flake-free before applying!
I only own 2 colours snob which is a bright baby pink colour and is satin finish formula and pink plaid which is a dusty pink colour with a bit of a purple undertone its a very neutral colour it is the matte formula.
The bullet casing I love this it is sleek and stylish I also love with this how the lid really clicks on so there is no way the lid will come off in your handbag.
The formula of the satin finish is a wee bit drying so you need to make sure your lips are scrubbed nicely because it's not so forgiving and shows every crease. For me this lipstick wears for 5 hours before the need for a touch up. Also as it wears the colour stays the same it doesn't change colour or become less vibrant. I'm not usually a huge fan of Matte lipsticks but I really like this one
The satin finish is lovely too it's weird because I keep thinking its matte I think it's because the intensity of the pink it's almost opaque, and there is no pigmentation with it. I still like it and it will last a good 4 hours without the need for a touch up. I really like the formula and the longevity of these lipsticks and I can't wait to by more in different shades that aren't pink and in one of the other finishes.
I personally only own and like the M.A.C Matte, Retro Matte and Satin finish lipsticks, I think the formula for those are just really good, they feel luxurious on the lips, they have great colour pay off and the staying power is amazing, . My faves are Kinda Sexy (Warm/Peachy Nude), Flat Out Fabulous (Bright Fuchsia) and my newest addition Instigator (Dark Plum). They don't feather, they last hours and they don't sink into lines. I would say the quality of the formula varies I have most of the retro matte colours and Runway Hit, which is a very similar color to Kinda Sexy isnt the greatest, it sinks into my lines and when i want to get full on color i have to use either concealer or foundation to erase my natural lip colour, and even then i still have to build it up and still looks patchy. So if you like the look of runway hit skip it and get kinda sexy. Also another fav of mine is Riri woo. Update i now own a creamsheen and lustre finish not my fav but the colours are really pretty. fanfare and
Tips: M.A.C lipsticks prices start from $40 in NZ, I personally don't think these Lipsticks are worth that price, I purchase mine from the M.A.C US website for $16 USD = $23.91NZD and I use Youshop to foward my parcels to NZ.
I am absolutely in love with MAC lipsticks. From the packaging to the product, MAC can do no wrong. I love how this product actually lasts on my lips, unlike so many other lipsticks that I've tried. Although they are quite pricey, I consider them well worth the price. There is also an incredible range of colours and finishes, of which I own more than a few.
Tips: If you have 6 empty MAC products, simply return them to receive 1 free MAC lipstick.
I love MAC. They're lipsticks are blimmin great. However I feel like they could be cheaper as they aren't the BEST lipstick out there.. But nonetheless they do the job and have a gorgeous range of colors!
Even the matte versions are so silky and moisturising on the Lips. They last a long time even after eating and drinking. They do need touching up sometimes but so do all lipsticks. Packaging is gorgeous mad really classy little overpriced but brill overall
Tips: Try the lipstick on your lips because they can be different colour when on your lips to in the tube.
Owning a mac lipstick has been on my bucket list since I first got into beauty. Everyone seems to have one or want one (if not many many more).
The Mac lipsticks (minus the LE) comes in a beautiful black bullet cylinder, with a small mac logo on the side. Its simplistic, but iconic design makes this a lipstick you want to show off. Like most lipsticks, you use a twist up mechanism to move the lipstick up the tube, which is standard.
The first MAC lipstick I brought was Brave, which is a pink with a beige undertone, and comes in a satin finish. It has a creamy and smooth formula which glides over my lips, without any tugging! The lipstick smells like .. something sweet! I instantly think vanilla, but I don’t actually know if that’s right. Anyway, the lipstick is long lasting and when it does wear, it wear evenly and gracefully (if you know what I mean).
This lipstick has started a MAC addiction, and I have already purchased a few more!
Like everyone else I absolutely LOVE these. Ruby Woo is my fav. I also love Rebel and Heroine for non work wear. These are gorgeous, last for ages and have a beautiful finish. My only complain is that ruby woo can bit dry within a short time which can be a bit frustrating. But I continue to repurchase as the colour is just gorgeous.
