Lux Exfoliating Scrub Body Wash Review

Holy gosh. The best thing on this earth. I had the caramel one and it's so great, super exfoliating and foams up really well. It makes my skin feel so great and the smell stays on the skin for ages. The price is really great for the quality and the amount of product you get. The packaging is lovely and the bottle is easy to use in the shower because of the shape- I don't find that I'm dropping it when my hands are all soapy. I find that I can use it everyday because the exfoliators aren't that rough and it doesn't dry out my skin. I will forever repurchase

I definitely like this product and will probably get it again. It's easy to pick up at the supermarket and comes at a fairly reasonable price, but I got it on sale! Mine's the Shea butter one, it's a lovely caramel color with dark brown exfoliating beads in it and a silky-creamy consistency. It smells like caramel too, with a bit of chocolate and vanilla in it, so good I want to eat it, but thankfully I have self control. The bottle is very easy to use/control and the lid is easy to work even with wet, slippery hands. I find this scrub very effective. I really like to scrub it in and bring my blood to the surface. It makes my skin very soft, smooth, silky and fragrant. I've been complimented on my skin since I started using this scrub. If you use it with a washcloth, loofah, or exfoliating gloves you'll find it more effective and also be able to stretch it farther. Using it with just my hands I find it difficult to lather and use. It often just slips out of my hands and I'll have to use more. I use exfoliating gloves, with them I only need small amounts of scrub for my body and I get and extra oomph of exfoliating power.

I picked up a bottle of the Lux Evenly Gorgeous body wash when I tragically discovered they were no longer producing the Shea Butter & Caramel exfoliating wash. I surprisingly prefer the evenly gorgeous more as it’s gentler on my skin for exfoliating. It consists more of a light, fine grit.

The smell is heavenly. Sweet, like brown sugar, vanilla, cacao and tropical florals. It’s not specifically feminine though, our whole family uses it, men included. I can guarantee you will smell this delightful wash all through your house after anyone uses it though. It’s not super hydrating, I think that is more so due to its exfoliating ability, rather than perfumes. I have very sensitive skin and I’ve never had any irritation to the Lux body wash products. The product claims to gently exfoliate and moisturise the skin. Exfoliate gently – yes. Moisturise – I’m on the fence. I’m also not a big fan of the bottle. I wish it was available in other sizes, one with a pump nozzle would be great as we go through a bottle every 2 weeks as my 6 year old pours it all over her loofah.

All in all, I love the Lux Exfoliating Body Wash range. They’re beautifully scented, great for the whole family (not gender specific) and affordable at around $4 a bottle from most supermarkets. I have found that variety can differ quite a bit from store to store though. Make a bigger, pump styled bottle of this fantastic product Lux and I’d be even happier xx

The smell is gorgeous and it really does feel like you're spoiling yourself. The scrub helps you feel so fresh and so clean.

I have used the Evenly Gorgeous exfoliating body wash and do feel like I've treated myself. The body wash is a yummy sweet smell that washes my skin well with the added bonus of a gentle exfoliation. The reason I haven't given this a five all round is that it contains sls as I do prefer a natural body wash. It was the scent that sold me.

I've been using this for a little while now (I'm about halfway through a bottle), and it has the best smell, doesn't upset my sensitive skin. And leaves my skin feeling so soft! I'll be repurchasing it after I've used mine up.

I've tried quite a few of the Lux body washes including the one on the right in the picture. I love it - It leaves my skin so nice and soft and it's quite a lot more hydrating than some other exfoliating body washes I've tried. The scent of shea butter and caramel is lovely and soft, I don't think it's possible not to like it :) I've also tried the Lux pomegranate exfoliating body wash, which - like the shea butter and caramel - was great at leaving my skin soft and hydrated. This one has a fresher, more lively scent so it's perfect for early morning showers.

I used the Shea butter and caramel one. It smelled like chocolate coated caramels which wasn't bad (I love them) but I didn't like it for a body wash smell. I love the smell of shea butter in my moisturizer so maybe chocolate caramels just doesn't seem like a fresh clean scent to me. Personally I don't like the gel like texture, I prefer creamy type ones. I didn't find it exfoliated as well as others. My skin felt like my normal skin, not dry or irritated but no softer than usual. So to sum it up it was just an average body wash with a sweet smell
