So I was Given the trial of the L'Oreal Casting Creme Gloss Hair Colour and I choose the Colour 412 Iced Cocoa which is a beautiful Shiny dark brown, my hair was just a medium brown but i had Blonde and Purple Panels through my hair that i wanted to get rid of.
Well to start off with the packaging is good, cool funky shaped box, lots of colour to catch the eye, lots of little information sections that are easy to read, the bottle of the formula are easy to mix the product in to, was not a fan of the conditioner bottle though, I struggled to get it out and had to bang it or smash it just to get it out and even then there was more i just couldn't get out and felt like it was a waste of product.
The Formula of the actual colour was nice, it was not too runny but then the dye wasn't too thick either, so application was easy and the product was workable into all areas, it did smell really good, no watery eyes while doing the application. So after applying the product to my entire hair i checked it to ensure it was covering my entire hair and was satisfied that i was got it all, in the instructions it had said to wait 20min which was good, I cant stand those ones where you have to wait for 45min. I left it in for 30 though just because I knew that i had the blonde and purple in my hair that needed to be covered, Wash out was simple, I didnt feel like It was a struggle to remove which was good as some colours you can feel like your washing them out forever, i felt like after i washed it out, my hair was dryer though than it normally would be after a full colour which had me a little concerned, I towel dried my hair as it said in the instructions and then added the conditioner, I put a little extra in the ends as I was worried about the dryness, left the conditioner for 15min then combed it through before washing it out, Well my hair was dry and gross I was not a fan or that after using this colour, the dryness did not go away I had to get in to a hair salon for a moisture treatment on my hair just to help it, I don't know if that was because of the L'Oreal Casting Creme Gloss or what but my hair was not in that condition even with blonde panels before using this product and then I saw that the colour didn't take over some of my purple panels and had little purple patches throughout my hair, again I don't know if I missed them while doing the application or if the product just did not take but I thought I had double checked my hair after applying the formula. So that I did not like.
So overall, I am not a fan of this product, it dried my hair out, everything else was okay actually do not get me wrong, it will be an amazing product for someone else but my hair personally did not like it, I think it would be great for someone who wants a semi-permanent colour at a great price with a huge range of colours and the colours are beautiful, it again is just not a product i will reach for again.
I put this colour through about a week ago and it was ok. It shows a lot of golden tones in my hard more than blonde and my roots look completely golden. It made my hair feel pretty alright after. The smell of the colour itself wasn't over powering but the conditioner smelt really bad. I didn't like the conditioner at all.
