I was lucky enough to be sent the set as part of a trial team.
I have long hair that has been lightened so the ends are really quite damaged. I am determined to grow my hair out, so hate cutting it, but hate the shaggy dry look too! I was super excited to see that this promises to seal the ends and improve the look of those long lengths and split ends.
This is the leave in product in the trio. It can be used on either damp or dry hair. It has a lift squirt bottle lid (not sure if that’s what the pros call it?!), that makes dispensing the cream easy – but will be a nuisance when the product is running low.
The product itself is a browny/grey colour. It was a little surprising seeing this colour, but presumably there’s a reason. It’s quite thick so I found it a little tricky to get just on the ends. It has a nice soft scent, nothing too overpowering and dried nicely on the ends with no greasiness.
This is where I came unstuck – the first time I used it, I had my hair tied up so didn’t notice any issue. The next time I had my hair down, and by the end of the day I had a rash/irritation all around my jawline and neck. After washing my hair out that night, the irritation cleared up and hasn’t happened since, so I can only assume it was the product.
Unfortunately this is a no for me, but will pass to my daughter to try it and see what she thinks.
I think this has to be my favourite product of the lot. I honestly I can’t rate it enough for it’s effectiveness and versatility - can be used on wet or dry and also recommended as a heat protectant!!
I do love L’Oréal shampoos especially the elvive range I find them great value for the size and readily available at the supermarket also. I’ve used the red and white range of theirs and rate them so was so excited to see this show up. For the price at the supermarket the shampoo, the size and effectiveness is amazing.
Like the rest in the set it’s pottle is the tangerine and pink colour which I love. I love that it is this little pop top bottle. It’s a handy sized bottle with a pop top lid.. handy to pop and pour. It’s a really cute bottle which I hope to see more of. Will definitely be keeping bottle after to water some plants it’s the perfect squirt bottle.
It’s very easy to use and I love you can use on wet and dry hair. I’ve used on both and it leaves me with a shiny mop every time.
It’s different to the shampoo and conditioner in that’s its thicker and a goldie colour. A little of the solution goes a long way though. A small amount through my ends finished the job leaving me with super slick hair. I would say I used a 10c coin sized amount.
The following morning my hair was shiny and smooth. It was also ready to straighten or heat style as they recommend using this as a heat protectant - how handy is that! So it’s like a 2 in 1!!!!!!! I used on dry hair also and it didn’t grease up my hair like some other products tend to do especially if they are for smoothing or protecting I find they usually leave me quite oily in order to smooth and shine but this wasn’t like that.
The ultimate test was when I went for a haircut my hair dresser actually mentioned my hair wasn’t too bad.. this was hair that had remained uncut for a while eek so the smoothing obviously worked some magic on that day as I wasn’t so embarrassed.
I am about to have a baby and know it will be a while until I get another cut so I am very excited to use this to extend the time in between my cuts. Lots of praise for this pottle of gold.
Tips: They suggest using as a heat protectant also which is handy.
