L'Oreal Paris ELVIVE Extraordinary Hair Oil

For a drugstore product, this stuff really helps my bleached and stringy hair look healthy.

I use a pump or so and run it through my hair when it's wet, otherwise it would be too oily.

Bottle is quite heavy and annoying for traelling though

I bought this oil a couple of years ago (maybe even longer?) when there was a lot of hype about hair oils. I have only just come to the end of the bottle now! Admittedly I do have short hair but I have used a couple of pumps of this each time I have washed my hair which is a couple of times a week. I also use it in between washes when my hair gets the frizz. I have coloured, naturally wavy hair and this keeps it looking healthy and shiny and stops my hair colour looking flat.

It is non-greasy and on the times I apply a little too much, my hair absorbs it and I'm not left with an oil slick. This oil feels luxurious with its glass bottle and warm, floral smell. I don't feel the need to wash my hands after using it as I just rub the oil into my hands and it is quickly absorbed.

I would definitely buy this again as considering how long it has lasted, it is extraordinary value for money!

The L’Oreal Elvive extraordinary hair mask is my favourite, so I was expecting great things from this oil, and I was not disappointed.

It comes in a glass bottle with a golden pump spray top. It looks luxurious, it smells super super fabulous, and it is hair oil heaven.

I’ve been using it as a conditioning treatment, and I soak my pony tail in it every night before I go to bed. My hair absorbs it and it doesn’t leave grease marks anywhere, and doesn’t make my hair oily. After applying it, I rub the excess oil on my hands into my nails – sometimes adding a little more. It makes a fabulous hand and nail oil, and let’s face it, the scent is gorgeous and applying it everywhere means more scent everywhere – yum! It absorbs quickly into skin also and makes for lovely soft skin.

The blurb says it will make your hair feel nourished and protected and it certainly does. My hair is very dry and this product really softens it, and straightens it, and helps avoid frizz.

I can’t say enough about this product, and very highly recommend it to others. I will always continue to use it.

As a curly haired gal, we need as much moisture and nourishment as possible in order to keep the frizz at bay, particularly since curly hair is known for being quite dry. After reading positive reviews on this site I decided to pick up a bottle of this one.

I like the fact that this product has a pump, and that it is clear so you know exactly how much product you have left. This has a light floral scent and is not a super heavy hair oil. I find that I can use two pumps of this on straight or curly hair and it adds a bit of nourishment to dry ends and smooths any flyaways without veering into oil slick territory.

This is a very nice hair oil at a very reasonable price for such a big bottle. Would happily repurchase

Argh hair products are such a weakness of mine, oils, masks, treatments, fancy conditioners, I LOVE them all, so when this came in the ‘top rated’ BBBE it was naturally the first thing I tried. Especially since I love the shampoo, conditioner and mask in this range.

It comes in a big 100ml glass bottle with a pump top lid, the glass is a see through orange colour, it’s nice and slightly matches the rest of the range.

I pump out 4 pumps, I have very dry and damaged hair so I need loads of oil. I am so, so happy one of the reasons I love this range of products is the gorgeous scent it has and this is no different. It’s like a sweet musky/woody scent. Definitely my favourite hair care product scent. Anyway… the clear oil absorbs so easily into my hair, one minute it’s there and the next it’s gone.

Afterwards my hair feels silky soft and smooth with the gorgeous sweet scent wafting through the air. I have been applying this in damp, towel dried hair and in dry hair and I have noticed when I apply it to damp hair I still need to apply more once my hair is dry. It doesn’t leave my hair oily or greasy it’s so lightweight for an oil.

This is also great to apply just before I straighten my hair making it even more silky smooth and helps to tame any flyways. I will probably purchase again.

I love the shine my hair has after using this product, it is fantastic. It manages to have shine without looking oily or dirty which is great. I have naturally quite dry frizzy hair which often looks dry so this product is a life saver!! love it!

Love it. The bottle is a great design, solid with a decent amount of product - you are see the liquid gold & I like that it tapers down, so it takes ages to put a dent in the product, and then as you get to the end there is the potential for the least amount of waste. The pump works fantastically, and easily secures for travel.

The Hair oil itself is lovely, a few pumps in the palm of a hand then rub hands together before rubbing into the ends of my hair. I use it just after washing my hair & it makes combing my hair out so much easier. I also use it as a pick me up, when my hair is looking a bit drab, and quickly there is shine, with out a oil slick look.

Having tried numerous hair oils, this is one that is worth the money, and I will be repurchasing.

Definitely one of my favourite hair oils. It's very light and doesn't make your hair greasy. There is a lot in the bottle, but I do feel like this has been getting more and more expensive, I'm actually shocked to see that the value here is $20 .. I've been seeing them for around $28-30.

BUT, I do LOVE the L'Oreal hair oil and highly recommend it!

I was introduced to this via the fabulous BBBE hair box, and thank goodness for that discovery! (Hence I'm a BBBE addict). I have very fine and frizzy hair that is prone to being as obstinate as a toddler in the supermarket who has spotted he candy aisle....if the weather is too hot, it frizzes, too wet, it frizzes. And many hair serums are just too heavy for my fine hair, so weight it down and make it go limp and greasy. I have tried many, many different products over the years to achieve that un-frizzy, yet not-limp look, without a huge amount of success. But enter Lóreal Elvive Extraordinary haily oil, which for once, is actually extraordinary. It tames the frizz yet still gives my hair body, which is what we all want, right? And happily, despite not having a hair cut in a year, because I'm trying to have longer hair, I don't seem to be suffering split ends, which I put down to this lovely hair oil. Win!
