L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Fibralogy Double Serum Review

I love the Fibralogy shampoo and conditioner, but wasn't overly exited about adding the serum because I know that most hair serums are too heavy for my very fine hair. My hair looks greasy very easily when I apply serum, even when it is freshly washed. This product added shine without being too heavy and it didn't make my hair look greasy. I find it good especially on the hair ends and I have applied it with very good results on damp and dry hair. I haven't really noticed that my hair look fuller, but it makes my hair shinier and softer. The product has a nice, soft smell. The packaging is eye catching and modern and the pump works beautifully. Very reasonably priced for what is on offer. I will buy this again!

I am not generally a user of hair products; I love it when they use them at the salon but I never seem to have to money to splash out on them for general use. So I'm not experienced in their use or effectiveness.

The Fibralogy Double Serum is very simple to use. As the instructions state, place a couple of pumps into the palm of your hand and spread through your hair. Wet or dry, it made no difference. And it works - my hair did look visibly fuller.

The disadvantage is that I had to wash my hair the day after use or it had a mind of it's own. So, given I don't have the time to wash my hair daily, I wouldn't use the serum daily. I'm finding I'm using on the occasions I go out to dinner or similar event, but leaving it out of my general weekday routine.

At $11 I definitely plan to replace it when it runs out.

I requested to review this product as I have fine, straight, oily hair which I've grown below my shoulders, but I have been considering cutting it due to it feeling flat and limp. I was pleasantly surprised when I applied Fibralogy Double Serum to my washed, dry hair. My hair felt it had more volume and a lovely shine. After using it for a couple of weeks, I found the most effect application was to damp hair; a couple of pumps of serum rubbed into my hands, head upside down, then run fingers through it from near the root to tip. I don't usually blow dry my hair, so instead I just tousle my hair as it dries. Fibralogy Double Serum certainly gives my hair more volume and shine, but I don't think my hair looks thicker. The serum is light, not greasy or oily. It has a fresh, subtle, pleasant fragrance which lingers. Application is easy as it can be used on dry or wet hair, no other hair products or hair dryer required. The packaging is very attractive and eye catching. Not so keen on the cap, as I'll probably lose it, might have been better with an attached lid. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. I would recommend this product if you have fine, oily hair that needs a subtle lift and shine.

This product worked really well for my hair. It gave me that extra volume that i was missing. I was worried it would feel heavy and look greasy on my hair but it didn't i was so happy as it was still smooth and soft. As i don't like it when my hair looks greasy heavy. It smells nice and it not to powerful that you can smell it all day as . The product is clear and a little bit runny Constantine. The bottle is nice and small and thin so it is easy to carry in bags and toiletry bags. Overall i would recommend this product to anyone that has thin hair and needs that extra help to get some volume back.

My hair type is: fine, thin, easy fragile , dull and dry. After using " L'Oreal Paris Elvive Fibralogy Double Serum, I can feel something changed in my hair. # My hair becomes shiny and soft. # Obviously I can feel my hair become stronger than before. And easy to comb. # My hair smell fresh and pleasant . I have been using it for more than 2 weeks and I want to use a longer time to see an even better result on my hair. This product has a nice look and it is not oily. It is very easy to be absorbed by the hair. ------- One thing I am not quite sure: can I use " conditioner " before using " this double serum "? I use this "double serum" before blow-drying my wet hair. Will this influence the result of this "double serum "

I thoroughly enjoyed using this product though I did expect maybe a little more volume. My hair is so very fine. I used the serum on wet hair and it did feel volumised instantly. It also smelt devine and left my hair with a beautiful glossy shine.

I have tried many things to thicken my limp fine locks and no success, until........ this arrived in my world! I have been using it pretty much everyday for a couple of weeks now and I noticed a difference almost right away. It comes In an easy pump bottle with two parts to it, each pump gives you the thickening and the smoothing product. Put it through your hair (wet or dry) and that is it! It does say to use it mainly in the ends however I have been putting it through from roots to ends. The result is full of body, thick hair! One thing I have noticed is it has dried my hair out quite a bit. Downsides are that you cant see how much you have left in the bottle and it is only a small bottle and you need to use a lot so it doesnt last that long.

ok, so i left this till the last minute to write my review as i wanted to get the most out of this product to see if it actually helped with thickening of my fine hair. what i will start with is the packaging. oh my goodness, L'oreal have hit a home run with this. It is visualy appealing, the pink and Teal colours are spot on, and if you are like me, i shop with my eyes. then theres the pump, i live how its a double serum, and it comes out so easy! The serum itself is a clear runny mixture, that has a slight pink tone to it and it smells fantastic! now, i used this for the best part of 2 weeks to the ends of my hair, unfortunatley i didnt notice any differencein thickness, which i am guessing is because i didnt combine using the Fibralogy shampoo and condtioner. I havnt read other reviews, so im pretty sure you would see results if you did use the 3 products together. What i did LOVE about this though, is that, even though it didnt work on my hair as it was ment to, it worked GREAT as a styling serum!! it isnt oily, and didnt leave a yuck looking finish. I it actually made my hair really healthy looking after blowdrying, air drying, had no frizz, and was pretty soft!! Would i purchase again, YES, but i would definatly invest in the paired shampoo and conditioner. all in all i really like this product, and L'oreal have hit the mark on its packaging!!! KEEP IT UP LOREAL!!!

I had thought using a 'hair serum' (eg, basically a leave-in conditioner) would be a slight waste of time on my usually slightly prone to oiliness type of hair! But I was pleasantly surprised to find that this did seem to improve the way my hair felt (very soft) and my hair got a lovely glossy shine that I don't usually get after just a shampoo and condition in the shower, it also felt thicker to the touch, and behaved as if it was thicker, fuller hair! This is great as I have really fine hair usually requiring oodles of mousse and spray just to seem slightly more thick and full of body, but this helped to achieve that effect without as much of that extra product required in the blow-dry stage.

I have super fine hair... like SUPER fine. As it gets longer, it starts to look stragglier, and I've been on the lookout for a long time for a product to give it more.... well just give it MORE.

I was already using the conditioner in this range, and was impressed by it, so decided to give the serum a shot as well. It's gooooood.

L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Fibralogy Double Serum comes in dual tubes encased in one semi transparent white bottle. One side is pink, the other is clear. You push the button on top to dispense equal amounts of both at the same time. I don't think this does anything either than sell the point that there are 'two serums', but it's cute. The package is slim but solid, with bright pink and teal accents on white. The cap fits tightly, which is something I look for as I travel so much.

The serum isn't the yucky oily type that I hate so much. It's more a gel consistency, and isn't sticky or greasy. It moves easily through hair, washes cleanly from hands, and is really nice to use.

Post application, my hair brushes and dries easily, and is noticeably thicker and fuller when using this than when not. It doesn't transform my hair into a flowing glorious mane, but if definitely helps it to be more substantial!

I'll repurchase this one indefinitely, I dare say!
