L'Oreal Professional Mythic Oil

I have really thick curly hair and I am always looking for amazing hair oils! Oils are so popular at the moment for hair and skin!

I really love the smell and the fact there is actual avocado and grapeseed oil. The bottle is really easy to store and travel with and it was a good price.

On the negative side of things, this product was just not quite right for my hair type. I think it would be an amazing product to use in the summer (as it is a lightweight oil) but I feel like in winter time I definitely need something much more moisturising and rich. Especially for my dry curls!!!!!

Really enjoyed trying this product and it lasts a really long time - I use it everytime I wash my hair and I bought in Dec and its about 3/4 gone so its lasted a good 6-7 months.

For anyone for thinner hair or needs a lightweight oil, this is a great option. Just not quite the right one for me! :) X

I have only used this product as a sample a few years ago and because of its availability, haven't used it since then. However, here comes a rave review!

My hair type is dry, very thick and a mix of waves/frizz. So I need a product that helps me control it and at least evens out its natural state. I love to wear my hair natural and save it from heat damage, and this was the product that helped me achieve that.

It is so easy to apply, using your hands, run it through your hair after washing it and leave it to dry. It truly does nourish the hair and make it smoother and sleek. I was so happy with this product and can't wait to use up all my other sub-standard ones so I can invest in this!

There are four oils in the mythic oil range, I used the one for normal hair. It's ince and light and not greasy. I used three to four pumps on my long thick dry hair and it left it feeling nice and smooth. You can use this oil with the Loreal hair chalk liquid colours to make them more pastel and it helps to make your hair not feel horrible, which chalks on their own do as they just sit on the outside and coat the hair with a rough feel. Inexpensive for a salon quality oil and lasts a long time. The pump means you don't waste it and the packaging is quite pretty too.

I don't think this product gets enough hype for what this product does. this product is so universal that fine hair and thick hair can benefit from it, frizz free, shine, repairing, and smells soo good! -water soluble silicone? yes please!

i do really like this product. It is light and easy to put on and doesn't leave your hair really heavy and greasy, however I do find that I do need to use more of it than other oils. I love that it doesn't matter if my hair is dry or wet it still goes on great and leaves my hair feeling wonderful.

I have very thick, colour treated, wavy, dry blonde hair.

This oil is very nice. It smells good, it is lightweight, makes my hair so nice and shiny, and tames the frizz. I just find that quite a lot of product is needed compared to other oils I have used, and for the price of it, that's what lets it down.

The pump bottle is pretty and easy to get product out. I would keep using it as long as it's on special, otherwise I would probably turn to other cheaper oils that do the same if not better.

Originally brought two years ago to replace original Moroccan Oil and discovered half used bottle about 4 months ago, I am now using it up. I think the biggest disappointment is the smell, it just doesn't smell nice (to me).

I use in both wet and dry hair, it does help a fair bit with frizzies and shine. A little does go a long way, so it provides good value for money.

However there are products I prefer such as Luxe oil from Wella SP and Morrocan Oil.

Unfortunately the L'Oreal Professional Mythic Oil was a product that did very little for my hair! Naturally curly and prone to dryness, my hair usually thrives on creams and lotions rather than oils, but I thought I would give this one a go since I had read great things about it. The ingredients sounded great, and L'Oreal has always been one of my favourite brands.

There are lots of good points about this product; the scent is absolutely gorgeous, and leaves your hair smelling amazing all day, it's super nourishing, the packaging is great and a little oil goes a long way! Unfortunately it did barely anything in terms of making my hair more shiny or supple; I noticed a slight improvement, but nothing like the claims made on the packaging.

Sadly won't be repurchasing!

This is my daily use product to keep frizz at bay. Gives my hair a lot of shine and softness and keeps the ends from curling too much in humid weather after I've straightened my hair. The pump top on this product is what makes it great for daily use, it just sits on the counter top - quick pump - through your hair and done :) Great stuff

This was the first hair oil I ever used and it was one that was given to me in a goodie bag. I've since tried a few other brands (Mainly because they were cheaper and easier to find) only to have them fall drastically short of this amazing product. My hair is VERY thick and really curly and this is the only thing that could tame my mane AND leave it soft, shiny and healthy. I definately knew if I'd neglected to add the mystic oil after I'd washed my hair as my hair felt heavy, thick and unruly. I wont be using any othe product now.
