I’ve always stayed clear of dandruff shampoo as I always thought it wouldn’t suit my thick curly hair. However I was sick of after one day having a very itchy and flakey scalp. After a couple of washes with this shampoo I noticed way less flaking and definitely not as itchy. I seem to be able to go a extra day so far before needing to wash my hair. It does have a slight scent to it, smells quite clean and refreshing, nothing too strong and doesn’t linger on your hair. Can’t wait to keep using it and see further results!

This Head and Shoulders conditioner left my hair lovely and smooth, yet not weighed down at all. No dandruff to be seen after the very first wash and the smell was lovely! I will be repurchasing this again for the times my dandruff gets bad!
Used this conditioner along with the head and shoulders shampoo. The smell pleasant, same as the shampoo. It definitely helped with the itching and flakiness. My hair was left feeling fresh and silky smooth.
First impressions about the conditioner was the delicious smell! It smells divine, and on squeezing it out of the bottle it was really thick and creamy.
My first thought about the bottle size was "that's not going to last me a week". Given the length of my hair I go through a lot of shampoo and conditioner, so even though I didn't think the bottle was going to last, I was impressed at how thick the conditioner and hoped it meant I didn't have to use as much as I normally would.
The conditioner has plenty of coverage and I did need to use less than my normal conditioner, I had to take a bit of time to really massage through my hair though as the shampoo had made my hair feel like a tangled, clumped together, straw-like mess.
After massaging it through and leaving it in for a few minutes, it rinsed out nicely and my hair seemed to feel tangle free and soft.
Wrong. Each time I've used this over the trial period I've had to fight to work the tangles and knots out of my hair. - taking me two or three times longer to do my hair in the mornings.
After using it twice I also noticed my hair was itching than before trialing the product.
Although I'm sure this would be a fantastic product for hair that's not like mine, I'd not purchase it myself.
The Head and Shoulders Clean & Balanced Conditioner comes in the traditional Head and Shoulders blue and white packaging. The product itself is a white colour and a nice thick consistency. It has an inoffensive fruity smell, not overpowering but fresh.
While I only had a short period of time to trial this product, I found it did eliminate my itchy scalp and minimise the dandruff.
It left my hair feeling soft and full of moisture, and did not appear tp strip any colour from my heavily colour treated hair. My hair felt silky and smooth after rinsing and drying.
I didn't have to use a lot of product, it was thick and creamy and felt conditioning while it was on my hair. As a supermarket product with price point accordingly, it would seem to be an affordable option that lasts.
Tips: You do not need a lot of product, apply only to ends of hair and leave in for a few minutes if possible.
This bottle arrived the same size as it’s shampoo mate, except with a downside up version! So the lid is on the bottom of the conditioner the direct opposite to the shampoo, making it easy to tell the two apart if you were unable to see clearly, Nice clean labelling makes it easy to read and see, flip top bottle lid means less wastage. Using directly after the shampoo meant less is required, and it cleaned my hair beautifully, managing it afterwards was a breeze though weigh a few knots. It doesn’t leave your hair with a overpowering smell which is a bonus, and my head was less itchy then before, Very happy with it
Tips: Don’t spill on shower floor, makes for a slippery mess
I'm not new to Head and Shoulders conditioner but I normally choose the Smooth and Silky version. The Clean and Balanced conditioner is nice, thick and white (surprising since the shampoo has a slightly blue hue). There is a clean yet non descript fragrance (I couldn't pinpoint a particular top note but it's lovely and fresh). This is a great choice for men as it's not heavily scented but I was happy using it too. This conditioner arrived just as my scalp was beginning to feel a bit bumpy and itchy (normally a prelude to a dandruff outbreak). After the first use that inflammation had subsided and there was no visible dandruff. The bottle has the normal packaging with the blue and white and is easily recognisable. I normally use head and shoulders for a week or so when my dandruff flares before returning to my standard conditioner (one for lasting colour). But a bottle would last me about 2 weeks with continuous use. On ocassion I have used head and shoulders for more than three months and it always leaves my hair shiny and silky and my scalp flake free. I'd totally recommend this to anyone suffering from dandruff.
Tips: I leave the conditioner as long as possible, normally while shaving and washing my body, before rinsing thoroughly.
Using the conditioner after shampoo, left my hair soft and light not so heavy in weight and my hair is still soft , no dandruff and no flaking on my clothes or flaking when I touch my hair.
The design of this bottle is excellent. It fits easily into one hand, making it so easy to manage while in the shower with just enough squeezability (this totally should be a word :) ) to ensure the product comes out cleanly.
This didn't feel overly heavy as a conditioner, and sat through my hair lightly. I think my hair benefited from waiting a full two minutes before rinsing off.
My hair was left incredibly soft, and with a pleasant fragrance, although the fragrance wasn't quite as nice as the shampoo. It has a slight chemical smell to it that the shampoo doesn't. But it isn't enough to be off-putting.
I noticed on my second and third washes that my scalp felt freer and freer from irritation, so I definitely think this does exactly what it promises. I will enjoy using this again and will definitely be keeping it on my regular shopping list.
Tips: Keep your conditioner on for at least 1 - 2 minutes before rinsing, and give your scalp a lovely massage while washing it off.
Thanks to BR for selecting me to trial this product.
I have been using this product a few times this week and i am already noticing my scalp is better.
Since i have stopped bleaching my hair and gone back to my natural dark brown colour, i have had issues with my scalp and roots. My roots are always greasy and oily looking and my scalp always feels like there is a build up of...well i dont know what the build up is, but it's gross...and i 'snow' (as my mum calls it).
After just 3 washes on every second day, i already notice a huge difference. Honestly dont know why i waited to get this product myself hehehe. But now i know how to fix my problems, i will maintain it!
I only use small amounts of the product about size of a 50c piece; condition once after shampoo and let it sit while i carry on showering. I enjoy the scent; i dont find it chemically. The product i find to be quite thick compared to my regular shampoo (that's not a bad thing; just an observation). My hair feels smooth soft and clean. It hasn't made my hair fall out more than a couple stand here and there (i used one brand and i had HUGE hair fallout...but that's another story). Even hubby says my hair looks ans smells nice!
For now, i love this product. I recommend this product...it actually works! I will continue using it. Thumbs up H&S
Tips: Use H&S shampoo and conditioner for complete system and results :-) a match made in...China hehe
