L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Total Repair 5 Restoring Shampoo

Great , i would definately recommend this product. Smells devine and my hair feels so soft after use.

After reading the blurb of total repair 5 i thought this would be exactly what my hair needed to bring it back to life, sadly i was wrong

using total repair 5 i felt like i needed quite alot of product to even get a foamy consistency, which is weird because regular shampoos foam up so easily, i felt it made my hair feel a little dry than normal, the smell however is quite nice

i wouldnt say the bottle would last very long on longer hair as i have shoulder length and iv been thru 3/4 of the bottle in 2 weeks, maybe thats due to the fact you need quite abit of product

the packaging is nice and simple with clear words on what its suppose to do, price range i think its a little expensive

all in all i wouldn't say id re purchase as it didn't live upto my standards sadly

I really really like this shampoo. It foams up into a super creamy lather and leaves my hair feeling soft but not at all greasy. It smells good too, but the scent is not overpowering. My hair definitely felt stronger and looked shinier after using this and in combination with the conditioner it was so silky and manageable.

For reference, my hair is fine and thin and fairly heat damaged as I blow dry and straighten it every day.

The shampoo was of a thicker consistency than I am used to and as a result was easy to apply and soon encompassed my thick hair making it squeaky clean. I did not feel the need to apply twice as i usually do and the bubbles did not fall into my eyes so I was very pleased with the shampoo. Both the shampoo and conditioner had a pleasant smell. The conditioner also felt slightly thicker than usual and was easy to use leaving my hair sleek and easy to comb afterwards. My hair was shiny and full of body after using this product and it is usually quite limp because it is so thick and heavy so I would certainly recommend this product to others.

Well fortunately I'm really pleased I didn't waste my money on this product. In my opinion this shampoo made my hair feel thick and heavy like straw. I feel it didn't leave my hair feeling restored or repaired but it appeared to be left more damaged then before using it. The consistency of this is a mixture of watery and creamy and you don't need to squeeze the bottle too much before the product comes out . It is easy to apply like every other shampoo but found for it to be more effective on thicker hair I needed to divide my hair in half and wash both sides separately to ensure it was fully covered and cleaned to my liking. The smell of this is very delightful with a light hint of floral that last between 4- 6 hrs maximum as I have a busy lifestyle chasing four children. I felt I needed to quite a bit for total coverage but this didn't bother me too much as I do use a bit with other shampoos also. This product is economical and would defiantly suit families or couples and could last for up to a month if used sparingly. It is in expensive and can be accessed a most supermarkets and my local dairy has this in stock for $5.99 . The packaging is simple but clear of what it hopes to achieve and the back clearly labels the ingredients and states that it should leave your hair feeling restored, stronger, vitality, silky to touch and leave a healthy shine. It has a secure lid that clips firmly. The end results for me after using this product my hair was made to feel heavy, thick like straw but did leave it shiny which is an upside to it as I have a lot of damage from chemical bleaching etc but am finally growing my hair back to a naturally healthy. In all honesty I probably would not recommend this product to others due to how my results but I will leave it on a positive note. Even though this may have not worked for me it may work fantastically on another person's hair. So I'd recommend you buy it and try it for yourself and then you can be the judge of it.

I tried really hard to like this but found it mediocre at best. I have been using it daily (in conjunction with the conditioner) for two weeks now and it doesn't appear to have "repaired" anything. It comes in a pretty standard bottle, which has a large hole so be careful when you squeeze, that has a lot of info on the label. It has a very light fragrance and covers hair fairly easily. It did leave my hair feeling and looking clean but didn't appear to repair anything at all or improve the general appearance of my hair. Its reasonably priced and easy to find at the supermarket but I wouldn't buy it again

When i first received this product i loved the bottle definately something i would reach for on the shelves then i tried it and wow my hair has never felt so good i will definately continue to use this product the smell is also amazing

Im always one looking for a good shampoo and I must say I enjoyed this shampoo! I wouldnt personally use it without the conditioner as I didnt find the shampoo its self gave me super silky hair but it did make it feel clean and it didnt get greasy quickly after using I found I could go a couple of days without washing and even then it still wasnt that greasy. It has made my hair feel and look stronger. I tend to straighten my hair a few times a week so not excessively but having strong healthy hair is important to me as I'm sure it is to most ladies and this shampoo definitely helped me achieve the healthy hair I used to have before straightening irons. Overall I enjoy this product and a little goes a long way as it lathers really well.

I was so excited to try this shampoo & conditioner combo, a huge thanks to BR for this trial opportunity :) Unfortunately after using it 4 times, I had to stop using it completely. The shampoo dried out my hair even more than what it already was, and the top half of my hair was almost completely matted every time I used it. It just felt like one big dread. When I tried to part my hair (to get the best use out of the conditioner I decided to part my hair so I could condition it thoroughly) I couldn't even part it without feeling like I was ripping my hair out. The bottom half my hair was easier to separate as it's a lot thinner, but the top half of my hair was near impossible. I had even tried adding a bit of conditioner to see if it would soften my hair enough to make it easier for me to part my hair but not even that would work. It's such a shame. I had high hopes for these products :(

I Have been using this shampoo for the past couple of weeks, upon receiving this product I found the bottle to be attractive and a good size. When I first washed my hair with it I found it had a pleasant fragrance and foamed up quite alot, my hair felt clean enough as to not need another application, but between washing and conditioning, my hair felt coarse and straw like, definitely not silky and stronger at all. I still have a week left of my review period but I just can't continue using it as my hair feels terrible :(
