I bought both the shampoo and conditioner as my ends were really dry, and my hair just overall felt lifeless. The promise of no weigh down ad intense nourishment sounded promising. I do admit that I do have an oily scalp, however, I was not prepared for the oil slick that was left on my roots. I even tried not applying th conditioner to the roots and only applying it to the ends, this did not seem to help. Which made me realise the Shampoo was also leaving an oily residue. My hair was oilier, and greasier than before I washed my hair. I would recommend to someone that perhaps doesnt have an oily scalp, but to be fair, I did not expect the weigh down that was promised wouldn't happen.

The Loreal extraordinary shampoo was not good on my hair type. It made my hair exceptionally knotty and dry. I would not use again and this is why:
The extraordinary shampoo comes in a relatively large 325mL plastic see-through orange bottle with a fresh and captivating label design that stands out on the supermarket shelf. The lid, like most shampoo bottles, is a flip open and easy to use whilst in the shower. The consistency is relatively runny but also gel-like. The fragrance, like the other Loreal extraordinary products, is the same lovely sweet coconut scent which I really like!
Application of the shampoo is easy with the flip-open lid and readily foams up when massaged into hair and scalp. Not much product is required for a thorough wash.
My hair can be very knotty, frizzy and sometimes quite dry. Unfortunately, the application of the extraordinary shampoo made my hair go into a knotted, dry mass in the shower to the point where the conditioner that followed was struggling to have a good effect. This is not what I want in a shampoo, even if it technically washes my hair well. It really made my hair feel awful.
The claim on the packaging states the shampoo is 'nourishing' to the hair, but it honestly felt like it was damaging my hair and setting me up for a bad hair day of flat, dry, frizzy and knotty hair.
Personally, I wash my hair about 4-5 times per week, but not always using shampoo. At $7.99 per 325mL bottle, I would expect the shampoo to last me a good 1-2 months. Compared to other shampoos, I would say this is middle to the upper price range.
Overall, I am disappointed with how the shampoo made my hair feel, both during and after application. For this reason, I would not use this product again after finishing my current bottle.
Would I recommend this? Not on my hair type: thick, curly, blonde.
Tips: This review is for the shampoo solely on its own. When used as part of the Extraordinary regime (shampoo + conditioner + mask + oil) my hair was left in good condition due to how good the conditioner and hair mask are.
