L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Smooth Intense Shampoo Review

I love the shampoo, it is so easy to lather up but doesnt lather hugely, just easy to move through hair. I feel it has changed the health of my hair in only a week. The smell is delish and I would love to buy this but the price puts me off slightly but sure it will go on special some weeks and it is worth paying for, just out of my price range

I used it the shampoo and instantly noticed that it made my hair really smooth. I had to shampoo twice because I had quite a bit of products in my hair at the time, but would definitely be a great everyday shampoo as I don't feel like it dried my hair out at all! Also smells great.

Really like this shampoo, the smell is nice and the product leaves hair feeling clean after one shampoo without feeling stringy like hair can pre conditioner. My hair is definitely smoother (maybe not 4 times smoother, but smoother) and frizz is definitely improved. I am an argan oil fan and will buy from this range again however probably with freshly coloured hair will purchase the colour protect variety (assuming there is one).

First of all, I really liked the smell of this shampoo, it had a really nice fresh smell, which was reasonably subtle. This was a great shampoo though, I definitely didn’t have to use a huge amount to get a good lather, and for my hair (as it’s super long) this is pretty key for me. I definitely found that using this shampoo made my hair noticeably softer. However, I didn’t find that it reduced my frizz. Despite claiming on the bottle that it would reduce frizziness, this was not what I found. Given that the shampoo is meant to reduce frizz, this was quite disappointing. I liked that the bottle was nice and clear, because you can see exactly how much you’ve got left in the bottle.

Loved using this shampoo. Made my hair really soft and managed to tame the extra frizz of baby hair that I have. Smells amazing and you don't need to use very much either.

The Elvive range is great. I have slightly oily hair and this shampoo makes my hair shine without making it look super oily with a 'wet look'. I have wavy hair and I've found that my hair is more manageable and a bit straighter the day after a wash with this shampoo and I appreciate that a lot.

Actually really enjoyed washing my hair with thos shampoo. I normally find my hair a horrible tangled mess after shampooing and I'm instantly reaching for the conditioner but it was a whole different story with this. And I notice my frizz didn't come back as soon as my hair was dry and brushed. Nice scent not overly chemical smell like some other brands. Will be buying some more once its gone that's for sure!

I have long coloured hair with damaged ends that tends to get very dry. I usually mix an match what shampoo I use on it, because otherwise I find my hair 'gets used to' the product and it stops working as well. So I added this into my regular rotation, I got the best results when I used it in conjunction with the matching conditioner.

Pros: Helps to keep my frizz prone hair smooth, moisturizing enough even for my very dry hair, and left it feeling soft and looking shiny. In short this product did exactly what it said it would!

Cons: It didn't spread that easily through my hair, and it also didn't leave my hair feeling detangled in anyway in the shower before conditioning. But most shampoos don't! Also by day two my hair no longer felt as soft nor was it as smooth as the first day but I guess that's to be expected

Overall I liked this shampoo and it will probably become my regular one that I use in between washes with my salon shampoo.

I have used this product since I received it and I found it to be very Moisturising and smooth when putting it on. You don't need a lot either and it lathers up extremely well. It washes off well and doesn't seem to cling to your hair like some do. Although I haven't noticed when my hair is dry much difference in the frizzy factor, I believe it is a good product and will continue to use. Thanks BR for my trial.

On first impression this shampoo smells really lovely, which is a huge plus for me. I really like the clear bottle - the design appeals to me, it helps to know how much product is left and also clearly distinguishes the shampoo from the conditioner. I do believe that this shampoo made a difference to the appearance and feel of my hair. It did seem to be smoother compared to other shampoos and most definitely did not seem heavy on my hair. Definitely worth a try if your hair frizzes .
