L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Fibralogy Shampoo Review

I really like this shampoo, coming from someone who barely ever swaps from my usual. The shampoo smells nice and comes out of the bottle easily. It lathers nicely and really does feel like I have really clean hair afterwards. After a few washes I did notice that my hair was looking thicker- but I think you would have to continually use it to get this effect. My hair also didn't need constant washing with this shampoo, and lasted a couple of days between washes ☺️

Haven't noticed a great difference in the thickness of my hair. A little more fluffier if anything. It has flared dandruff up a bit. It smells and feels great. I would still recommend to friends as may just be me having a reaction. I loved the colourful bottle.

I am the latest advocate of this shampoo! After the first wash, I can safely say I noticed a difference in the texture and fullness of my hair! I have thin, lifeless hair and it is a constant battle to add volume and fullness, but I can honestly say that the L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Fibralogy Shampoo added a noticeable amount of thickness to my hair.

First look at this shampoo and I thought it looked cool! The funky colours are definitely appealing and I was excited to use. The smell is unique but very nice and lasts in your hair until the next wash. I have very thin and flat hair and this shampoo definitely made my hair feel thicker and fuller. Unfortunately it lacked in the volume area so made my hair look flatter than usual as it was weighed down by the ends. The thickness also made my hair a bit unmanageable, similar to if it was frizzy. This shampoo did make my hair look super shiny and lustrous, and feel silky but I am still to find the shampoo/conditioner combo that delivers on volume.

My hair is fine and limp and has been falling out the past few months...... was excited to see this new product and try it out. You don't need to use too much it lathers up really well and has a pleasant scent. One thing I really liked about this product is I only needed to wash my hair every few days rather than every couple of days, it left my hair feeling soft and not oily. Possibly a little dry - I have since seen there is a serum you can use after washing that I would like to give a try to see if this makes the ends feel a little less dry. When I dried my hair with a hair dryer it really did feel like it had a lot more volume and did for days. Other products only make my hair feel like that for a day and as soon as I sleep on it it flattens it again - not this product! Very impressed and I am very eager to go out and try the third step - the serum now.

I was extremely sceptical trying out this product, as I couldn't understand how a shampoo could thicken the hair fibre. I have thin hair fibres, but lots of hair so I mainly wanted to see if this shampoo could add any volume and strength to my hair. I also tried to research what 'filloxane' actually is, and from what I could find it appears to be window sealant! So that sounded pretty terrifying, but I found nothing saying that it was particularly bad for your hair. The only thing was that some sources did say that although it does cause expansion of the hair, it can put a lot of stress on the outside of the hair and actually cause damage that way, by stretching the outside of the hair too much. At first I didn't really notice any change in my hair, and I didn't think that it was going to work. However, after about a week of use I did notice that my hair did have more volume than before, and although I can't say for sure I do think the hair fibres were a little bit thicker. They didn't expand by 60% like it claims to, though. The shampoo has a nice, quite strong almost citrus-y scent, which I quite like, and the consistancy was just a little thicker than a regular shampoo, but otherwise felt and looked the same as most other shampoos I have tried. It lathers up quite well, and unlike some other shampoos that lather well, it didn't seem to dry out or strip my hair too much which was a massive plus. I think that I would use this again, but I won't go out of my way to buy it as it didn't have as much of an effect as I was hoping. I noticed that with all the claims this shampoo made, the results were in conjuction with the conditioner and serum, which lead me to believe that most of the thickening came from the serum rather than the shampoo/conditioner.

Having had thin hair my whole life I have definitely been through my fair share of hair products claiming they would give me the thick locks i have always wanted. I either found them to be too heavy or too drying. I was thrilled to be part of this trial and can happily say that I have finally found a hair thickening products that is true to what it says it will do. On first impression I thought the packaging was super funky and bright and I likes the style of the bottle. The bottle size is a generous 250ml and the product was easy to get out of the bottle. In the hand it is thick, creamy and smells amazing! I found I only needed a small amount to easily create a thick creamy lather in my hair. It also rinsed easily and didnt leave my hair feeling like wet straw. My hair did however have a subtle softness to it and it felt instantly thicker. Teaming this shampoo with the conditioner I found my hair to be extremely soft, frangranced, manageable and appears and feels thicker. These products really do the trick for me!!

This is a great shampoo ! I have loved using it, helps my hair stay cleaner for longer and smells amazing right up untill your next wash. I havent noticed much in the way of volume but I have really loved this as a new shampoo !

I am always desperate to find a good thickening shampoo because my magic mirror tells me I have the flattest finest hair of all. I'd been using a different thickening shampoo for a while and my hairdresser told me that I had a dry scalp that was probably due to my shampoo.

Most thickening shampoos deprive your scalp of moisture because moisturising products weigh down the hair and volumising / thickening products aim to lift it. This was exactly the case with this shampoo, I'm now using a Head and Shoulders scalp care shampoo to repair the damage.

As for thickening? My hair was not visibly thicker after use.

On a positive note, the shampoo smells like a tropical holiday and the smell lingers which is lovely :) I would recommend it to a friend who wanted a normal, nice-smelling shampoo.

I love a good shampoo that smells good, who doesn't love having nice smelling hair. I found that it was nice and creamy and lathered up really well. I wouldn't say my hair has super volume now, but I definitely did notice a bit of difference. I usually use salon shampoo and conditioner but I am so impressed with this high end super market brand, I will probably make the switch! Really happy with this product in general.
