L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Arginine Resist Shampoo Review

This is a lovely fresh scented shampoo, its smell reminds me of a Nina Ricci perfume I used to wear back in the day. Like most shampoos it takes two washes to really lather up in my long hair. As I have only been using it a few weeks its a little difficult to say its actually strengthened my hair and stopped it falling out. I still have the same amount of hair fallout when washing and drying my hair. And I haven't noticed any miraculous improvement in the strength of my hair. The consistency is lovely and my hair feels great, it just hasn't changed the amount of hair fall I experience after nearly 3 weeks of use.

I have very long, fine, straight hair that falls out all over the place so was very excited when I was invited to trial L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Arginine Resist Shampoo . I used the Shampoo followed by the Conditioner for two weeks, every other day.The L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Arginine Resist Shampoo comes in a black bottle with hot pink accents which I loved and looks very stylish in my shower! The shampoo had a lovely fruity scent which reminded me of passionfruit and left my hair pleasantly perfumed without being overpowering. I loved the rich creaminess of the shampoo and liked the way it lathered up nicely making distribution along the length of my hair easier, especially considering out water is quite hard. The shampoo followed by conditioner made my hair feel stronger and it was clean and shiny but it did not do what it said it would do and I have no noticeable reduction in hair fall. This is a big disappointment. I would probably use it again on the strength of it's good points: -nice smell, nice packaging, reasonable price, cleans my hair without leaving a residue and my hair felt stronger. I would not recommend this product to someone looking to prevent hair fall and I won't be rushing out to replace my half empty bottle.

This shampoo was awesome from the first wash. I have thick curly hair and this helped my hair dry naturally without any products while looking smooth, it dramatically reduces my fly aways. I have polycystic ovarian syndrome and one of the side effects is losing a lot of hair, The bottom of my shower is usually covered in hair but since using this I have noticed a dramatic change. I will continue using this product

The shampoo of this anti fall system is very creamy, rich and smells so good. I have fine flyaway hair that would fall out all the time, during washing, combing,drying etc I have noticed that it still falls but possibly not the same amount as before using this system....a pleasant surprise from this system is that i can go 3 days without a wash. I liked using the Elvive arginine resist shampoo but it is probably a bit expensive for my budget.

I have been using this shampoo for well over a fortnight, which a great, as I need to change shampoos more often. Firstly, the scent of the shampoo is very pleasant, and leaves my hair smelling nice I suffer from hair fallout and breakage, which makes this shampoo perfect for me. I have noticed somewhat of less fall out, but it did leave my hair feeling a bit dry. Overall, I don't think I'll be repurchasing.

I thought this was an ok shampoo if you're looking for just an average, standard one that can be picked up from the supermarket. The smell is nice and the product lathers up nicely. I feel that it is cleaning my hair well but does strip it of oils a bit and leaves it feeling really dry.

I don't feel that it really did much for the strength of my hair and stopping hair fall which is its main selling point and reason for purchase so I wouldn't get it for that specific reason.

Overall, it is all right, but nothing to get excited about and is a bit more expensive than similar products so I wouldn't go out of my way to purchase.

My hair is very damaged from colouring and also heat damage, I also have a lot of hair falling out (not too much of a biggy as I have a lot of hair) so I was very keen to try this product out. The package is eye catching being pink and black and is good value for the money. Unfortunately this product was not the best for my hair type, it dried my hair out a lot felt like a gorse bush after shampooing luckily using the conditioner helped but my ends were still extremely dry even after conditioning. The plus side is I could last 3-4 days without washing my hair and it still didn't look oily, but I did need to use other products so like a hair mask and then a leave in oil to stop it looking so dry. I will not be buying this product again as it did not give my hair enough moisture, it ended up looked dull and lifeless.

Right from the first time I used it I noticed an obvious decrease in the amount of hair falling out during the washing process. So much less to clear out of the drain!!! It has a nice, not over powering, fresh scent. My hair looks healthy and shiny. Followed by the conditioner it's a great cleanse and strengthen for my hair. I'd definitely recommend it for those that shed a lot of hair!

The packaging looked very nice & sleek in the black & pink. I liked the fact that the bottles are oval shaped and not round, saving space on my small shower shelf!

Using the shampoo it distributed easily and evenly through my hair. The scent of the product was a bit over powering - strong floral scent, however once dry it is very subtle & pleasant.

After continuos use I found that my hair was left feeling very dry on the ends and seemed to feel dirty the next day after washing. I didn’t find any difference with hair fall, I’m still moulting all over the place!

I didn’t hate this product enough to throw it away, I will probably finish it off but I definitely won’t be purchasing again.

I have very fine hair that's badly damaged from frequent colouring and heat styling. It's extremely prone to breaking off, so I was keen to give this product a try.

On a completely unimportant note, my first impression was delight at the bold black and hot pink colour scheme on the bottles. Obviously this isn't crucial to the product's performance, but who doesn't like having something good to look at in the shower?

The shampoo lathered up well and had a great floral-like scent. My hair felt clean and fresh afterwards, but admittedly I wash every day and I don't really use any styling product apart from a heat protectant spray, so there normally isn't a great deal of build up for me to wash out anyway.

To be perfectly honest, I didn't notice a great deal of difference in the amount of hair fall that I experienced but it is a difficult thing to quantify. Either way, I still liked the smell and the way this product made my hair feel so I would definitely buy it again.
