L'Oreal Paris ELVIVE Extraordinary Clay Dry Shampoo Review

This was the first time i had ever tried Dry shampoo, I didn't even really what it was for until I received it to trial. My hair was very greasy the day I received it and with such a busy few days I hadn't had time to wash my hair, like always I just chuck in it and bun and wait till I have time. So i had a read of the instructions and gave it a go. I sprayed it on my hair focusing on the roots, and waited 2 minute, then I gave my hair a brush. Seriously AMAZING. The results were so good! My hair looked clean, even the smell of the Dry Shampoo was a really fresh scent which I really liked. I love how it removed the oils and really gave volume back into my hair.

This dry shampoo is the 4th product in this range.

I really, really wanted to be in love with this dry shampoo, however I can say that I only like this. I am not a huge user of dry shampoos, having used Batiste in the past and not having fabulous results from that one either. I sprayed as per the instructions I didnt feel that my hair had any extra body and still looked oily at the roots. The only difference between the 2 brands is that the L'Oreal dry shampoo did not leave the white residue.

This product is the least favourite of the four I trialled for this range. It claims to leave no residue, well I think that's because it doesn't actually work, I've used it several times in the hope that I grow to love it, but it just doesn't do the job. My hair is still limp and the dry shampoo doesn't seem capable of soaking up any of the excess oils, so its totally ineffective. I compare it to my all time favourite Batiste and it really falls short of the mark. I love all the other products in this Clay range, unfortunately not this one.

This is the 4th product in the Clay range, which consists of 4 products. The dry shampoo is packaged in beautiful mint green with darker green accent 150ml aerosol type can.

The dry shampoo works like any other dry shampoo. I've never had much luck with dry shampoos, they never leave my hair looking refreshed, my hair tends to look more like it has styling product in. Although this one doesn't leave any white marks or visible residue.

It works well with the other products in the range, so I'd buy it again, as I'll continue using the shampoo.

I like that the packaging is coordinated with the others in the range. I like that it's in a easy to use spray bottle, and the scent is pleasant.

However, I find that that while it is decent at absorbing excess oils, it doesn't work AMAZINGLY well. Also, the white powder doesn't blend into my black hair, and it takes quite a lot of effort to work it in.

I'm a regular user of dry shampoo, generally it's something that I use 2-3 times a week. I've tried a few different brands and I always revert back to my regular trusty Bastiste, as no other that i've tried has compared.. This new dry shampoo from L'oreal is no exception.

First impressions; I love the baby teal color of the spray can and it smells beautiful, a light super pretty floral scent.

When using this dry shampoo I felt like I was using a hell of a lot, watching & waiting for those oily roots to disappear, and it just doesn't really happen. The oiliness factor is slightly improved with this dry shampoo, but I found that I had to use heaps of product and was only partially satisfied with the result. Despite using a heap of product, it's still light on my hair and doesn't cake or crust up, I will credit it that.

A pleasant product but not a very effective one in my opinion. Maybe it'd be fine if you have only minor issues with oily roots..

I have been using bastiste dry shampoo and like it, it freshest my hair well and smells good. Unfortunately as much as I fell in love with this whole range the dry shampoo was not one I would rebuy. It didn't do much in the way of freshening my hair up and it also didn't smell that great. My hair can't go long without a wash, I would normally wash it daily so using a dry shampoo has been a great thing to have on hand if I don't get time to wash my hair, a quick spray and it will pass for the day. This brand however didn't make enough of a difference to my oily roots to warrant a rebuy. Sorry guys...

Before trying this my go to was baptiste, and mine had just run out so this was perfect timing! I wasn't sure what the clay elememt would do to its dry sampoo properties, but I was super excited.

As per instructions, I sprayed it at my scalp like I usually do, and left it for a while before combing it out. Usually I comb my hair upwards and in all sorts of weird directions to add volume to my hair. It did make my hair look a fraction less oily and add more volume to it. My hair tends to go flat and stick to my scalp when it gets oily so this helped reduce that a little. But it definitely didn't make my hair look 100% fresh again. The lightness that my hair has when it's just been washed just wan't there. Now I'm not asking for miracles, even baptiste doesn't give me 'just washed' vibes. But this was a little less effective than baptiste. I do really like the fragrance that it has though, it's strong enough that my hair and my bathroom smell nice after using it.

Price wise it's similar to baptiste, but I might go back to that because it feels more effective. The added clay claim (what a tongue twister!) didn't do anything beyond my expectations.

I've tried this recently and made this my go to dry shampoo. I really love the smell because it smells like I just washed my hair. It removes oil from my hair but the consistency is not that much of a dry shampoo. I love that it adds volume and it's perfect to style my hair after using this. This stays on my hair for a day and I never had to spray again for the rest of the day.

There are heaps of choices for a dry shampoo but you should give this a try.

This dry shampoo comes in an easy to use spray can. This dry shampoo smells nice and fresh and isn't too overpowering. Since trailing this range I have managed to stretch out washing my hair every second day ( I usually wash it everyday). This dry shampoo is perfect for in between washes.It is best to spray it 20cm away from your hair and then brush through to avoid excess buildup of the product. It seems to absorb any excess oils on the scalp occurring in between washes. This dry shampoo made my hair feel clean and fresh as if it had been washed every day. Overall this is the best dry shampoo I have used and I will be purchasing it in the future.
