L'Oreal Paris ELVIVE Extraordinary Clay Conditioner Review

This is the only conditioner that helps my dry ends and keeps them looking healthy and soft. It makes my ends feel amazing and it smells good too. This and the clay shampoo is the best combo for oily roots and dry ends. It's hard to find a good shampoo and conditioner for my hair type to help keep my hair clean and not so oily this stuff works wonders.

When combined and used correctly on the mid lengths and ends of the hair I would definitely say that this shampoo kept my hair and roots feeling fresh for 48hrs (even in a humid environment) This I think is mostly to do with the fact that I avoided application to the roots. While this left my hair feeling lovely and fresh it wasn't particularly nourishing for my damaged ends.

I do have to note here that the bottle states 72hrs of fresh roots compared to the BR website, but I can tell you 48hrs is the longest I could go before I felt oily.

As with the shampoo I really enjoyed the salon fresh scent of the cream, the packaging is gorgeous in aqua blue/green and the price is great value.

Would I purchase again...I would in the case of a special where the shampoo and conditioner were sold together, but I wouldn't seek this out, when I could use something else that has more of an effect on my damaged ends.

I trialled this product range and this product was one of the highlight. The smell was lovely fresh and aqua which lingered in my hair. The product was quite a light conditioner but was moisturising. This conditioner left my hair feeling soft and glossy. For me I didn't notice any major difference regarding my normal day two oily roots. But generally a good condition.

The packaging for this range is so pretty and the conditioner has the opening on the bottom of the bottle which I like as its super easy to use. The texture of the conditioner was a little thinner than I like for my hair as it is sooooo dry it sucks up the conditioner really fast, so I felt like it didn't give me all the the hydration my hair needs. It still did a great job of smoothing my hair out and removing the knots, but after it was all dried off it was a little lacking the moisture I get from other brands.But in saying that, with having oily roots there can be a fine line when adding moisture to the hair and just adding more grease, so I can see how this would work for people with possibly less length than me and finer hair.

I always feel bad when I place a bad review or even a slightly below average review. I have tried this product and I keep trying to see if it will get better but for my hair it just didnt do anything for me. I have natural hair on the top and bleach blionde ends.... think ombre but really grown out. I get oily roots when it is close to wash day and I wash my hair twice a week.

Using this product in the shower (obviously hahaaha), I like how it sat with the tops down which would mean the product would be easy to get that last little bit out (big plus). It has a pleasant clean smell (I am more of a OMG fruit or OMG sweet tasty wonder smell fan myself). It glides on easily and seemed to wash out easily. But when I dried my hair it felt heavier? It felt weird, something was off and I have no idea what it was.

It did remove the oil but it left my hair feeling bla. I do not need help feeling bla! By day 3 my hair was oily and gross perhaps more than usual. I think this really didnt agree with my hair type.

I did give it a good try and it did do what it said it would. It just also made my hair heavier and feel weird.

I was sent the range to trial, and I don’t have too much to say about the conditioner, mainly because it performed about as well as most other conditioners do. I loved the scent, and I didn’t need a lot of the product each time which was great (especially using it only from mid ends to tips), however I found myself squeezing out too much conditioner the first couple of times I used it (I think because of the bottle design along with the consistency). The conditioner gave my hair back the softness that the shampoo took, and didn’t leave it feeling greasy or weigh it down. It didn’t make it look super shiny though, so even though it wasn’t oily, it was left looking kind of limp unless I used a product afterwards.

I used this conditioner alongside the shampoo, however in all honesty I found it did nothing my usual conditioner doesn't do already.

I wash and condition my hair every second day and hoped I'd be able to push it out another day but I was sadly disappointed.

I wouldn't buy this to use again unfortunately, but after reading other reviews maybe it's my hair?

I'm not feeling this Extraordinary Clay range, I'm sorry L'Oreal. This conditioner was maybe the worst of the lot. It was very runny and thin, which I was surprised about—even though I have oily-tending hair, I like a rich balmy conditioner. Despite the thin consistency, it managed to weigh my hair down and it looks limp, lank and flat even immediately after washing.

I've been using this conditioner daily, following the ELVIVE Extraordinary Clay Shampoo.

The scent is the same as the shampoo, and like the shampoo only a small amount of product is required.

The instructions say to apply to the lengths of the hair, leave for a few minutes, then rinse. I found this conditioner to be too heavy on my hair for this so would apply to the lengths and rinse straight away. While rinsing i'd move some product up towards the roots to help reduce frizziness.

My hair is left in an "ok" state. I wouldn't describe it as well nourished by any means. It's very fine and thin so having it weighed down by conditioner only emphasises this fact.

I am undecided at this stage whether I will finish the bottle, but I know that I will not repurchase.

I was sent this conditioner, thanks to BR, along with the rest of the Elvive Extraordinary Clay Range. I'm feeling like a whingebag... This whole range did not live up to expectations... The conditioner, that said, to my mind, is the best product out of the four products I received. The conditioner left my hair soft, untangled, and hydrated. However in summary, my hair roots are just as oily as it always and, my hair has lots of flyaways and just, well, doesn't look as nice as it usually does. I won't be repurchasing this - I like to use sets of shampoos and conditioners and there's better conditioners out there for my hair type, including at the price that this is available for (i.e. other Elvive conditioners)
