L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Arginine Resist Shampoo Review

I rated it a 1 for "use again" because I didn't find it overly fantastic. I wouldn't buy it again unless it was on sale. The general perfume of it is nice. I found I had to wash my hair more often using this shampoo in conjunction with the ma thing conditioner. I also found my hair had an oily residue after washing/blow drying when using them together. I rated it a 3 for "did it do what it said" - I do feel I had less hair fall however and will be interested to see the results by the end of the bottle. I didn't feel particularly nourished at the root but definitely felt oily. I rated it a 2 for recommending to a friend.. I would only do so if a friend mentioned hair fall. I didn't feel like I had "salon hair" after using the arginine resist range

I really wanted to love this product, but unfortunately after a couple of weeks of consistent use, I'm far from convinced.

The smell is gorgeous and leaves hair smelling good after washing. It also leaves hair feeling quite nice and hair is easy to straighten/style.

As for the claims of reducing hair fall, not so sure. I don't feel I can be totally accurate in my review until I have used the full bottle, but I would expect to see some results by now regardless. I am still pulling quite a lot of hair out as I wash and I was really hoping not to be!

When this first arrived, I thought the packaging was fantastic - love the pink and black concept, and appeared to be very chic. The first thing I did was smell the product and it was divine, and unfortunately that is about as far as I can go with positive comments. Unfortunately for me I did not see any improvement in reducing the hair fall. The same amount came out in the shower and after brushing in the mornings - so a little disappointed there. I also felt that it made my hair feel dryer than my normal shampoo and conditioner combo. Maybe it will work for others, but unfortunately no improvement here.

I have been using this shampoo for 3weeks now and have not noticed a big change in the amount of hair fall at all, I also found that after using both the shampoo and conditioner my hair felt really dry and stringy like, this product works for some but just not for me, which i was really hoping it would. The upside to this is it smells really nice and i just love the black and pink bottles, really makes then stand out.

As usual I am very appreciative of receiving product for review, but this was not for me. First of all the packaging is cute - love pink and black, and it smells amazing!! The scent also lingered for a while after washing which was nice. My problem with the shampoo is how it made my hair feel while washing it - it felt really dry and made my hair feel stringy and quite brittle, obviously this is remedied by using conditioner but other shampoos I use don't make my hair feel that way.

As with the conditioner it claims to help with hair fall but I haven't noticed a difference even though I have been using both products in conjunction with each other. Results with hair fall could be different if I continued using the two products but I'm not a fan of how it made my hair feel so I will be passing this onto my sister to see if it works with her hair type and helps with the amount of hair she loses.

To start, I should say that I don't know why my hair has a tendency to shed- it could be something medical related (for instance iron and thyroid imbalance can both make hair fall more noticable), in which case I doubt a drugstore shampoo would be able too make too much difference. That said, my honest opinion of this product is that it has done nothing to help reduce hair fall in my hair, which is the core claim the product makes. While the packaging is sleek, and the shampoo has a lovely scent, I don't find that it's any more effective than any other shampoo I've tried. On the plus side, it left my hair clean and soft and didn't seem to have any irritating effects on my somewhat sensitive scalp.

The packaging of the product is good, even the smell is good, didn't find the scent over powering.The consistency of the shampoo is thick and creamy just like a normal shampoo. It cleansed my hair efficiently, but didn't help my hair to get any stronger ,neither did it reduce my hair fall. Overall the product didn't do what it was upposed to.

I was really excited to trial this product. My hair falls out a lot and the shower drain was getting clogged up. I decided to write my review after a couple weeks to see if it would work over time. Sadly, it didn't I still had the same amount of hair come out in the shower. Scent wise it smells fresh but could smell better. I like the sleek black and hot pink packaging and the concept of reducing hair fall, but unfortunately the product failed to deliver that for me. I wouldn't spend money on this the other shampoos I have work well on my hair and there's not a huge difference between the amount of hair that falls out when I wash my hair with this or with one of my other shampoos, maybe a few strands less but not enough for me to repurchase when it runs out. I will continue to use this and see if there's any difference over time but so far I'm unconvinced that this product is worth it. Another thing is it has SLS which dries out my hair, although I was prepared to overlook that to see if I would get less hair fall.

This shampoo smells amazing. I really like the colorful packaging. after my first use of this shampoo along with the conditioner , I was like "where has this been all my life?"

My hair felt soft and silky and extremely easy to style. However after a few weeks worth of use I found my hair felt straw like. and didn't actually look that healthy. the shampoo didn't actually impress me all that much . the pros were it did reduce hair fall out. But I didn't like long term how it made my hair feel. so I used the conditioner and swapped the shampoo and found it really suited my hair better. then between washes went back to using this shampoo. I properly wouldn't repurchase this. It wasn't a bad product, just found it didn't really suit me.

Ok to start with the positives... It's a beautiful feeling of washing and conditioning your hair and this leaves you feeling fresh and clean without the heavy feeling that some leave you with. It smells beautiful and the smell lasts for the whole week. Negatives... I was expecting great things as I have a lot of hair fall after surgery. Enough to make me cry each time I was my hair. Now I've been using it for over 2 months and haven't noticed any changes whatsoever. I am still loosing more hair than I want to think about. It also meant I needed to wash my hair twice a week as it gets dirtier faster? Which for me means more hair loss in the shower and more tears. So overall as I don't like waste I will finish what I've purchased but I won't be buying this again.
