L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Arginine Resist Conditioner Review

Having trialled both the shampoo and conditioner from this range, hands down the conditioner is my favourite of the two.

As with the shampoo packaging the design is very pleasing to the eye with bold pink and black bottles. Again I found the consistency a little on the runny side for my tastes. Smell is all right, not too strong, didn't last long on my hair after rinsing. I have very dry hair so am quite liberal with conditioners. I applied a generous amount to my ends and worked my way up avoiding my scalp. I found it was a fairly decent conditioner as my hair felt really soft and silky and got rid of any tangles that happened during the shampoo (I have unruly hair even when wet haha). I wouldn't say it left my hair with really lasting hydration but then again that could be my hair. I am yet to find even a salon conditioner that can help with my dry, damaged ends and unruly flyaways.

In terms of reducing hair fall/breakage I think the combo of both products did help with a minor reduction of loss for me. I think I need more time and use to really gauge whether it has long term benefits.

So I used every last bit if this stuff before I decided to review it. (Same with the shampoo)

Firstly it smells yummy! And secondly I did like this so much I bought I in my shopping this week.

I have extensions (micro weft) so I'm usually careful with what I put in my hair... Nothing to make the rings slip and nothing that will dry the hair out so it needs to be a fine balance.

I love this stuff... My hair Is healthy, shiny and I use no products with it what so ever.... It's conditions without leaving the hair greasy or heavy... I have to be care full as my hair is both super long and super thick

I don't have to use much and I have really thick hair aswell as my hair fall isn't as bad.... So happy with it I've committed to spending money on it to see how long ill love it for and what results I can get past a bottle.

Thank you BR! What a great product to review. This conditioner is just a dream to use. I have long curly/knotted hair that takes a painful 60min+ process when its hair washin day. Washing my mane with this product was such a pleasure, it smelt great, felt great and the after affects looked great! It was so soft and silky afterwards. I couldn't notice much of the reduced hair fall, you may have to use for a longer period than the 2 weeks I've been using it for. But id be happy to use this as my permanent conditioner from now on and keep the hair breakage and fall to a minimum!!!

I trialled this conditioner along with the Arganine Resist Shampoo, and I am so impressed with these products that I have already purchased them myself for when my current ones run out! This conditioner really nourishes my hair while Im using it, I run it through the ends of my hair and it instantly smooths my ends. I like that only a small amount of conditioner is needed. My hair is normal to oily, and I find I am only having to wash my hair every 3 days instead of every 2 days. I have issues with hair shed, and while using this product I have noticed literally NO hair fall whatsoever! When my hair has dried, it feels smooth and very strong. I also love how glossy and healthy my hair looks. I would reccomend this to anyone who has problems with hair fall/breakage as it is very affordable and it really does work! :)

As a first impression i really loved the bottle, i thought it looked good considering its a supermarket product. I understood it was meant to stop hair fall after the first use. After I shampooed for the first time with the shampoo i tried this conditioner and when washing out the conditioner my hand was full with hair that had fallen out BUT after about 3 days i did notice that my hair fall did stop quite a lot. It smells pretty good and when my hair dries it is sooooo soft. I would buy this if it was on sale at the supermarket. All in all it was pretty good and would tell people it was good.

My hair is normally quite prone to breakage and hair fall, i have been using this shampoo for a bit now and i find that nothing has changed since using this product. My hair still falls out the same rate as it did before and i find that im washing my hair more frequently than before i started using this. Its a nice conditioner for normal hair, but i do not think it lived up to the expectations of anti hair fall. I will give this product a few more months and if i see results or progress i will update this review

When it comes to conditioner I have only one test, and that is: can I put this in my hair and not have the need to wash it out, basically using it like a leave in conditioner, I guess. This conditioner does not pass my test. My hair felt crunchy and dry after my 'test', so while I'm glad I did it, I won't do it with this brand again.

The conditioner is a creamy white and smells amazing. I focused the conditioner from mid-length to the tips, ignoring the scalp completely. I do wash my hair everyday, and I have only just stopped putting conditioner everywhere. Using this conditioner in conjunction with shampoo made my hair super soft, easy to manage, and it was really good when I styled it as well.

I was super impressed with the fact that my hairbrush was almost bare. My boyfriend is forever complaining about finding my long hair everywhere - something which makes me really embarrassed, because it's not something I can help. But thanks to this conditioner (and the shampoo) I've noticed less hair fall in the shower, on my clothes, in my boyfriends socks in the washing machine... I'm just impressed.

I would only buy this again with the shampoo if it was on special. $8.99 a bottle is a bit too expensive for me ;-)

Very similar to the shampoo- a nice smelling product with attractive packaging that definately helps reduce hair fall quite quickly- I am loosing about half as much hair in 3 weeks of use. My hair looks and feels soft and shiny. Good value for money as it lasts a long time. I do hope the results last even when not using the products.

As mentioned in my review for L’Oreal’s Arginine Resist Shampoo, I was pleasantly surprised with this conditioner.

The packaging is very smart and easy to look out for, and both the shampoo and conditioner have a lovely floral scent that seemed to last in my hair for a good day after washing it.

Similar to the shampoo, the conditioner is also of a thick consistency and I assumed it wouldn’t work well into my hair and I would therefore need a lot of it but I was wrong! Only a small amount is needed and with a good massage, it really works well into the hair.

I signed up to review this particular product as I have suffered with very bad hair fall-out and breakage since I had my daughter. For the last two weeks I have been using this conditioner in conjunction with L’Oreal’s Arginine Resist Shampoo and have been very pleased with the results. I was sceptical that a product priced at $8.99 would really work but it has! I have cleared out my hair brush once in the last two weeks when I would normally be doing so every few days and even then, there was little hair. Little to no hair clogging shower sink or being seen on the carpet and my hair actually feels much thicker and healthier.

My shoulder length hair is normally normal to dry. Since having children my hormones changed my hair and so hair breakage and fallout has been an on going drama since then. The conditioner is nice and thick and spreads really well. After washing my hair with the same type of shampoo, I applied the conditioner and left on for two minutes then rinsed throughly. It washed out well and I was happy with the way it made my hair soft and tangle free. The smell was very low key and bearable. My hair fallout on the first use didn't seem much different but I did see the difference on the third and fourth use but it did not stop it all completely. My hair was clean on all occasions but on day two it needed washing again and by day three I felt my scalp itching a little. I don't think the active ingredients suit my scalp so I probably won't be buying this but it's still a great product in that it did do what it claims by reducing breakage and fallout so I would still recommend it to those who suffer thinning hair due to those sorts of hair problems. It did not fade my hair colour what's so ever. A good conditioner regardless of the slight itchiness. I think the price of this 250ml bottle should be $6.99.
