Love my new GH. Have always used remington or VS Sasson and had never seen the need for a more expensive straightner. After recieving as a gift I'm offically a convert. Leaves my hair less frizzy and damaged, shinier and work quicker for both curls and straight. Love this.

My partner bought me this as a Christmas present as I had been using a very cheap VS Sasoon one for years and the plates would always tug at my hair so I avoided using it as much as I could. My GHD one is amazing. Heats up in record time, doesn’t tug my hair and my hair feels good after using it and looks silky and smooth
Great for smooth straight result. Quick and you can create curls. Good for normal or greasy hair especially if not coloured or bleached. Only disadvantage is there is only one heat setting. If your hair is dry or bleached you would be better off with a straightener that has a temperature control as you only need 180 degrees if your hair is dry.
Tips: Always use a heat protecting product prior to using.
This straightner honestly is incredible! love how easily it straightens my hair (naturally wavy) it heaps up in under 30 seconds which i love! stays straight the whole day and makes hair shinier too. has perfect temperature and only takes one or two strokes to get hair looking good. love it!
Tips: use a heat protector before using.
I love my Eclipse, I converted to this after my original GHD was stolen! The speed to reach temperature appears faster than my original GHD, and I love love love the feature that switches the GHD off if you leave it on and inactive for 15mins plus! - Yay for no more minor heart attacks about if you left it on or not.
Tips: Always use a heat protectant before styling.
I got a wonderful surprise at Christmas. My partner had brought me the GHD Eclipse. It came in a sleek black box.
When I opened it. It was in a black and rose gold carry case. I opened the case to find a white and gold shiny hair straightner. There was a heat proof cup case to go over the tip of the straightner. My hair type is thick wavy. Its super hard to manage. So getting this was a blessing.
When I plugged my straightner in it made a ringing noise. Wow, never have I had a straightner make a noise like that. The light around the Ghd emblem lit up.
I section my hair with hair ties, I always start from the bottom up. What normally takes me an hour and a half. Takes me 30 minutes. Can you believe that. So fast. I only need to go over my hair once. Never have I been able to do that. I normally have to go over it at least three times to get a sleek effect.
As a first time GHD user I have to say this is the best straightner I have ever used. With my thick mane being tamed into sleek hair . I am over and above happy. Definitely worth buying as a long term hair device. I would recommend to ladies with thick hair like mine. It will not disappoint you.
Ok so I'm new to hair straighteners having always opted for the easy route of "wash n wear". However after giving my daughters (classic) Ghds a go I was converted. I purchased the Eclipse recently and oh my what a change they have made. They heat up super fast, glide through my hair like a dream and give me total control over my flyaways. I've tried curling my hair but with not a lot of success as I think I need to watch a few more YouTube tutorials to master that one! A great tool for newbies through to experts.
Tips: Save your pennies girls- this kind of amazing-ness comes at a price!
Does what it says. Heats up super quick. Smooths my hair fast and effortlessly.
Is it worth the price point? Probably not. I wouldn't have purchased it for my self. It was a gift.
A ghd is an essential in any girls life.. However being a hairdresser myself I find that the eclipse can take a little longer than the classic series. You do have to take your time with it but the results are great! Fingers crossed they come out with a larger size to create bigger curls and waves. Also the price is $350 rather than $300 :)
Tips: Always use heat protection - salon strength and even give the ghd hair dryer a go.. You'll love it :)
I’ve had GHD straighteners for years and when mine broke (when I dropped it) I was heartbroken. This is the replacement I bought and it’s fab. Heats up quickly, nice sleek appearance. My hair shines after I’ve straightened it. I don’t feel like it’s too harsh on my hair, but I do use a thermal protectant spray.
Tips: Treat them with love and they’ll last Decades.
