I picked up the 'extra for free!' bottle of this for less than $20 at Life Pharmacy, and it's a really good deal. I think if your hair were less in need of serious moisture than mine it'd be fine.
I love the cute, squat, rounded bottles OGX comes in, but it can make it hard to get the last lil bit out of the bottle at times.
This coconut water option smells deliciously of coconut - but in a subtle way, more Bounty bar than full on coconut. It moves through hair well and washes out cleanly, and is a moderately good hydrator. If you don't have super dry hair it would be lovely; mine needs more.
Pretty good value and quite lovely as a product, just not 100% correct for my current needs.
After the success of the OGX macadamia nut conditioner I thought I would give some of the others in the OGX family a go.
The Coconut water condition comes in the same designed shape of the other OGX products, a solid, chunky rounded bottle that seems to be made from a strong plastic that doesn't allow you to fully squeeze it, resulting in you hard shaking at it to get the last drops out of the bottle. Fully opaque body and the overall weight of the bottle means that you are not sure when the end is in sight you just have to judge for yourself which is annoying as it normally runs out without me knowing and then I get in the shower to a surprise.
Heavily scented with coconuts this liquid is just over the runny consistency, not too thick but a little more fluid than I normally expect from a conditioner. Applying it is easy as it almost melts into your dampen locks, rinsing away effortlessly. However I noticed from the word go that as soon as my hair started to dry, the frizz was on high alert and had to be tamed with more product than normal. After finishing the bottle and dealing with multiple frizz out breaks that can only be linked to this conditioner I went out and re-purchased the macadamia version which seems to be better suited to my hair type.
