I received this in one of the original Beauty Review boxes. I mix and match my skincare so it's taken me awhile to get through it. I like the packaging - it comes in a dusty pink tube with a silver screw off cap. I would prefer a flip top cap just for ease of use. Still the tube is easy to squeeze and dispense the right amount.
This is a light textured white cream. The colour disappears as soon as you rub it in, although you can still feel the cream sitting on your skin. I feel a slight cooling effect when I first apply it, then a 'pulling' sensation. It doesn't make my skin feel tight as in drying, but more like it is tightening up. Once this sensation goes, my skin feels moisturised and supple. It does feel like a coating on my skin though, especially in my t-zone. I prefer to use this cream at night, when it absorbs fully or on stay at home days. I haven't tried wearing it under makeup. I also prefer to use it at night as it doesn't contain sunscreen (I believe there is now a newer version that does)
This cream does have a very strong herbal smell. Personally, I don't mind it but I know some people hate it. The smells disappears soon after application but you definitely need to do the sniff test on this one. I would use this again if another tube came my way although I'm unlikely to purchase it. It is a good budget moisturiser but there are others I prefer in this price range.
I bought this in a pack of minis with 4 other goodness products. The size of the product was 20ml. I loved all the other products in the pack, and love many other Goodness products, but not this one.
If the moisturiser didn't have a super strong smell, it would be fine. Cute packaging. Definitely hydrates my skin. Light-weight, and leaves no excess on my skin. Nothing extraordinary, but does what it says it does.
I absolutely hated the moments putting this on my face though. I don't usually mind products like moisturisers with a faint scent, but this has a super strong smell that I found unbearable. It reminded me of medicine mixed with the Dove smell, if that makes sense - not a terribly horrible smell, just super strong. And it was almost like I could smell it for hours afterwards, even after putting my make-up on as well. I used it several times, and each time found myself super aware of the smell throughout the day.
Ended up throwing the mini away and would not repurchase, but might recommend if you weren't bothered by strong scented moisturisers - as was good apart from the smell.
