New Daily Lash?

My first thought about this magnetic liner and lash system was that it seemed very gimicky and I wasnt convinced that it would be suitable for all day wear. The liner was very black, which is something I really like, but I did feel that it was slightly watery and needed more than one layer to ensure it was solid black, while the lashes I had were "Khloe" and were labelled intense, I would wear these are everyday lashes. The liner applicator is a brush tip, which makes it very easy to swipe on the liner, but can be tricky when trying to fill any gaps as you have to swipe rather than dab. The lashes need to be applied with your hands as tweezers would have the magnets stick to them rather than the liner, which can also get a bit fiddly. The liner lasted a good 6 hours before it started to show signs of cracking on the corners of my eyes, which made the end of the lash lift, as there was not a solid base for the magnet to connect. At first I could definitely feel the extra weight that the magnets added, but after 15min or so, I didnt really notice it anymore. I was surprised that the bulk of the liner, excluding the corner, lasted over 9 hours and the lashes did not pull away, even when there was some mild wind. The packaging is what was expected, except for the spots underneath the lashes that held them in the tray, which made it hard to remove the lashes from the tray without distorting them. The product worked well and did what it said, but being a regular false lash user, I do still prefer gluing the lashes down to ensure the corners stay attached and also being able to wear them without liner. All in all this system of magnetic liner and lash worked better than I expected in my initial reaction, and for days when I do want to wear liner, I would definitely consider using them, and would also recommend to my friends who are confident using liner, but not lashes.

Tips: Make sure you don't put the liner on too thick, as this makes it hard for it to dry, and if you do blink while its drying it will transfer to your lid.

What is this magic?

I trialed the intense lashes with the magnetic eyeliner.

I wasn't sure how the lashes would stay put with three small magnets along the lash line. I had problems trying to get lashes to size as you don't want to cut off the magnets.

After drawing along the lash line with the eyeliner I quickly found it needed to be a thicker solid line all the way along for it to be a strong enough hold. It took me a few goes to get this right.

Next you simply put the lashes on and they click to the eyeliner. And they actually do! I was very surprised how well they held. This step was very easy unlike glue if you didn't click it in the right place it wasn't a hassle to pull off and try again with no mess.

Unfortunately during my trial it was only nice weather. I was very curious to see how they held up in rain and wind. If anyone has tried this I would love to know!

They are easy to remove but I do question how long the magnets would last for by the amount of times you would pull them off.

I wonder if one solid magnetic line along lash would work better. It would create more area of contact with the eyeliner. Also it would be easier to cut to size initially.

I feel like there is still a bit of work to be done developing. It is a really good idea but just not quite there yet.

Great potential

I’m on the fence! Great concept but I feel it needs a little adjusting.

Packaging: simple packaging, not overly glamorous but functional and that’s the main thing.

Liner: good pigment, plenty of product. I tested It on my hand before properly testing the product and found the liner bled a lot into my fine lines so I made sure to use a good eyeshadow base before applying. The consistency is a little runny so if you aren’t overly confident applying liquid liner I would steer clear, the tip could to with being a little stronger too for ease of application. I read a couple of tips and tricks on this product before applying so made sure I shook the bottle well first and applied a thick liner to ensure the lashes stuck to it. If you aren’t into a thick liner this probably isn’t the product for you.

Lashes: nice lashes, not too over the top which I like. Labelled left and right which is fantastic. The lashes fit my eye perfectly, if you did have to trim them you could run into problems due to the magnets. Application was reasonably easy (as far as falsies go) I did find it difficult to blend the lashes in with my natural lash line even with a coat of mascara.

All in all, love that there is no messy lash glue to deal with, they lasted really well. I wore them all evening to test their longevity. I also jumped up and down a bit to test how well they stuck and they were good.

I feel if they adapted the liner formulation a bit they would be on to a winner. Even better, a felt tip liner would be awesome.

Not sure I’d purchase these as they are quite expensive. Not sure the extra money is worth it to save on the inconvenience of using glue.

Probably not a product for beginners due to the liner but if you rock a thick liner this could be for you.

Tips: Shake well before use, apply a thick band of liner to ensure the lashes adhere.

Take care with liner as it is a little watery.

Use an oil cleanser to remove liner as it is rather stubborn

It's a great concept.

As someone who has a mild paranoia about lash glue, I was quite excited about this system, and super stoked when I was sent it for review. The eyeliner is really good. It's a fine, Flexi-brush tip, which gives a lovely precise line, and would wing beautifully (if that's your thing- I can't do it very well!!). It's a great, opaque black, and cleans well if you mess up. The lashes themselves (I was sent the "intense" ones) I find to be quite tame compared to a lot of other lashes in terms of fullness and drama, but otherwise were quite nice. They attached well to the liner eventually, but it is a little fiddly, and it doesn't work well if you have a light hand with the eyeliner- a thicker line is better in this case. They don't appear to be intended to use with mascara to blend with the natural lashes, so I just mascara'd my natural lashes, and then spoolie brushed the two together. It made taking them off much easier, and no cleaning off of mascara to re-use. I took a couple of goes (as usual) to get my lashes in the right place, and found that the magnets take the liner with them. It comes right off where the magnets were in contact, so you have to go through again, re-line the gaps, wait for it to dry, then re-apply. Not so bad for the end of the night, but definitely not great if you have other things to do! Part of the claim of this system appeared to be a day-to-night looks made easy, just by changing lashes. I can't see that working too well unless you're also carrying your liner!! The lashes can also come away from the eye (with the liner!) with longer wear, and I wouldn't like their chances in a club setting, or anywhere you might get a bit sweaty. The liner flakes after a while, and the lashes can come loose depending on how close to the magnets your liner has given way. The system itself is quite heavy, and that also takes a little getting used to. Knowing that I took a few goes to get them properly attached to my eyes meant that I was a little paranoid that they were falling off, especially once I realised the propensity of the magnets to remove the eyeliner too. I think these are good for short-term wear, a dinner out, or something similar, but I wouldn't want to wear them for a full day event, a wedding say, without either having the liner on hand, a mascara to glue them to my lashes, or a HG mascara for when I gave up and took them off!! I'll definitely see what happens if/when they extend the lash range and probably give them another go, since they are the same price as Ardell lashes once you have the liner. For $50, the liner is a little pricey, but if you're a regular lash-wearer and have a phobia or general dislike of lash glue, then this might be the system for you. Just know that they may not like high winds or heavy rave clubbing!

Tips: Have a few practices before you try and wear them for real.

You really do need to shake the liner before use, and wipe off excess. If it goes in your eye, you will not enjoy it. Trust me on this. I took one for the team.

Definitely give the liner the 60 seconds to dry before you try and apply the lashes, treat the liner like your new lash glue,

Make sure you just spoolie through your natural lashes to blend them with the magnetic ones. Don't try and curl them together unless you have a plastic curler. I found my curlers wearing some lovely lashes at one point, and nothing on my eyes!!

Not really for people who like natural makeup

I’m a daily wearer of a natural a lot of mascara look and minimal eyeliner. I thought this sounded perfect, less time layering mascara and damaging my lashes further (damaged from eyelash extensions) However, I found that with only a thin amount of eyeliner the magnets don’t stick very well. So for a daily natural look it didn’t really work, which is what I wanted it for. These lashes do work better with a heavier eyeliner applied. The natural lashes however are nice and very natural. I wasn’t happy that they were glued down by the lash in the box, when I pulled the lash away it had gummy glue residue on it that I had to lightly try pick off. The eyeliner applicator is very thin brush and a nice easy to apply consistency. A nice dark black colour.

Overall for someone who likes a more dramatic eyeliner look it’s great but maybe not for a more natural look.

It might take me more time playing around to get the hang of how to use these properly, but I really like the idea!

Magnetising intense lashes and eyeliner

PACKAGING Good, clear tips and instructions with pictures to show each step. Professional looking but tray is the usual flimsy plastic, as budget brands of magnetic eyelashes I have used has come in a case which would be better for travel purposes. The eyeliner packaging is very good with a mess free stopper and fine tip.

APPLICATION Application is tricky at first but gets easier with more use. It is definitely the longest by far to apply successfully, compared to the click on magnetic lashes (upper and lower sets) as it can easily turn messy. Messiness includes smearing when applying, goes into inner corner of eye which stings, gets patchy when adjusting/removing lashes on and off in the early process of application. With the eyeliner, you have to apply quite thickly as trying a thin, sleek, more natural line will not result in magnetising. Easier if you are going for an evening look or if you like the thick dramatic look during the day.

MAGNETISM Not very strong. Needs 3-4 coats of eyeliner to ensure that the lashes stay throughout it's wear. When doing it is best to wait till each layer dries. Even then the inner corners did not magnetise properly. I managed to disguise it by creating thicker lines and sliding the lashes outward towards the outer corners.

Overall the lashes were pretty, wearable and it's a good concept. I would wear them again for occasions where I had the time to perfect the look, especially a more formal or evening look. However it is not something I would purchase again as it is not worth the fuss, unless you have the time to use it on a daily/regular basis where you can perfect it, and are happy with a thick liner look.

I would probably consider repurchasing if the eyeliner was developed with stronger mangnatism and thicker consistency or Glam by Manicare created a magnetic mascara so the lashes could sit closer to the lash line. Also I would prefer if they developed the lashes into have smaller and more micro magnets so those who want to trim it, can. And it may help the lash line magnetising better.

Tips: 1- Apply it in coats and thickly to guarantee magnetising throughout the day 2- keep the eyeliner in your handbag or pocket in case of top up if the lashes seem to not be staying throughout its wear 3- Says to wait 60 seconds to dry before applying the lashes, do wait longer as if it's wet it is harder to adjust without creating patchiness.

Recommend For Beginner Lash Wearers

I got these both through the recent vault. I really liked the idea of this as lashes is something I struggle with. As a set, they look really nice. I like the packaging, could be interpreted as plain to others but I think the black with silver writing looks sleek. I have detailed pros and cons of each individual product in their separate reviews.

As a set, it still took me 15 minutes to get these on the first time. I put this down to my inexperience and this being a new product however I thought it would have been faster. Subsequently the couple of other times I have used this it hasn't been much faster. The magnets can be quite fiddly. I seem to be able to get the center magnets to click without trouble it's just the inner and outer magnets that give me hassle. I think this may be down to not having a thicker line of the liner in both these areas. I also forget to shake the liner well as per instructions, this may also have something to do with it.

I've worn these a few times now and one thing is very clear. I only seem able to get about 5 hours wear out of these before the magnets start lifting and I need to go in with the liner again to reattach the lash.

I do like this lash system but think there is room for improvement in terms of the magnet design on the lashes and making the wear time last longer. I myself will probably just wear these for events or when I feel like making extra effort. These are easier for me to apply then the traditional glue and lash. Think this system would be great for beginner lash wearers.

Not the best

At first I thought it is amazing to find a magnetic false eyelashes so I bought some. I like how the false eyelashes are so soft and how amazing it is to just place an eyeliner on your lids and you can efficiently place your eyelashes in just minutes or seconds because of it's magnetic effect without the use of any glue.

The only downside about this product is that it is a bit pricey and the product won't even last for a day sometimes. I also did not like how it comes off really easily especially during a windy weather.

Manicare Magnetising Eyeliner and Lash System

I really wanted to love this eyeliner and lash system, because the idea is genius, however I feel that there is more improvements to be made.

The eyeliner itself is pretty good. It is a nice pigmented formula and the brush tip is quite thin and flexible. It dries to a slightly shiny finish, and does not smudge when dry, but it does tend to flake off throughout the day, even if the eyelash is not attached.

The instructions say to wait 60 seconds for it to dry before applying the lashes, but I found I had to wait a few minutes for it to fully dry otherwise the lashes wouldn’t attach and “click” onto the eyeliner.

I have the Willow Natural style eyelashes, which are very natural-looking and lightweight. The two end magnets sit right at the end of the eyelashes so it could be tricky for those who need to trim them.

Each eyelash has three strips of magnets attached which are supposed to be “micro magnetic” but quite noticeable, especially in the inner corner and the eyeliner has to be drawn quite thick to hide them. Then lashes themselves were pretty easy to apply using my fingers. I found it was easiest for to “click” the centre magnet in place and then the end ones and adjust accordingly.

When I first used them, they did not feel very secure and unfortunately started coming off after ~30 minutes of wear-time while sitting at my desk. I found that the inner corner magnet tended to flick up more, which could be because I usually taper the my eyeliner and it is thinner in the inner corner. However, I also experienced lifting of the outer corner magnets and the centre magnet too. When the magnets lift, they also take off the chunk of eyeliner that it had adhered to, leaving a very noticeable bald eyeliner spot. This occurred both with and without the use of primer on the eyelid. Because the eyeliner is removed, there is no point pressing the lash back down, so eyeliner reapplications are definitely needed.

I also didn’t particularly like the packaging. The lashes are stuck to the plastic packaging with two spots of 3M adhesive quite securely, making it quite a struggle to pull the delicate lashes off without ruining them. As careful as I was, this ended up bending the lashes and they were left clumped together and sticky, which ended up catching onto dust throughout the day.

Magnetic lashes!!

Thank your BR for choosing me to trial this set. Individual reviews for the products have been added separately for the eyeliner and the lashes.

The eyeliner comes in a easy to use tube with a very thin applicator tip. The actual liner is quite watery but goes on and dries up pretty easily after application. Try not to get it too close to your natural lashes but Put on how you would use your normal liner. Wait for a minute for it to dry before putting on the lashes. You can use your normal liner to do a winged eye and fill in the gaps closer to your lashes.

The eyelashes which I received were the natural one. They are still lightweight even with the 3 magnets on. Very easy to apply and blended well with my natural lashes. After applying the magnetic eyeliner remove lashes check size and align the lashes to your upper lashes. This does get attracted to the liner and is very easy to get it into place. I normally work in either from the inner or outer corners of my lashes to set it. The lashes are reusable if handled with care. This is so easy to put on without any fiddling. Goes on really well and looks good, but that’s where my excitement ends. The issue I had was trying to keep the inner corners from popping up. I found this to be really annoying as I had to keep on applying the liner to the corners to try and keep it down. I wear eyeliner on a daily basis so I’m able to put in on pretty well. This doesn’t happen to me when I use the normal glue on lashes. Have tried it a few times now and same issue. Also if you remove the lashes you will be lifting some of the eyeliner off where the magnets are attached so to reapply you’ll need to fill in the gaps. Also when applying mascara try to stay away from the lash base otherwise you’ll get some lifting there as well

Does this do what it says- well yes it does but just for a few minutes. I wouldn’t right it off completely because this,is a really interesting concept and makes eyelash application really easy. The eyeliner I feel is a bit pricey but might be a good idea to buy if goes on sale and have a practice. I’d give Khole a try and see how that goes and see if I can figure out how to keep the inner corner from popping up.
