So so

I used to use this BB cream and I'll start by saying the formula was quite nice for my dry skin but I don't think it would be suitable for an oily skin type.

I had the shade Medium which was a good match for my olive skin in the summer but too dark for me in the winter so I couldn't use it then. I always applied it with my hands and it spread evenly and provided a sheer tint.

In my opinion it didn't really do much except give a slight glow to my face because the formula was quite dewy but I did like that effect. However, it dried down after a few hours and it didn't layer nicely so I do think there are better BB creams around at this price point.

Would not Buy

This BB cream had a very strong scent which made me nauseous and gave me headaches. Went on Dewy I prefer Matte but I can see how it would give women a look they want. Covered most redness not all. Went on sticky but that subdued after about an hour and the look was ok. By the mid afternoon it was oily and definitely needed touch up. I wouldn't buy it again.

Tinted Moisteriser By Another Name?

I've got pretty normal skin. It's not wrinkly, oily, dry or crazily pigmented, it just sits in the middle of the road as we travel together towards 40. So while it's not problematic sometimes I wake up looking like the tired Mum I am and I think I should probably make a bit of an effort and put some make up on for work. I've used BB creams before included L'Oreal's Youth Code and in my make up drawer I currently have 2 products on the go - a Dove tinted moisturiser and a REN organic BB cream from Liberty of London- so a high and low end I guess you could say. To be honest I don't notice an extreme difference with any of them, the Garnier Miracle Skin included. They all do what they say they will initially, they even out the skin and give you a bit of colour.

The Garnier product had the signature Garnier smell, went on smoothly and provided the hint of colour I was looking for. Did it give me miracle skin or make me look younger? No, but I appreciated the SPF - important even in winter.

I don't find the product lasts particularly well, probably hold the initial effect for an hour.

This product is no better or worse than other mainstream BB cream on the market, making me happy to recommend it or any other supermarket BB cream if someone wants an everyday boost at a reasonable price but not enough to make me recommend it as a skin or life changing product.

Only half sold on this

This is an interesting product, I was excited as I have only ever tried one BB cream before by Bourjois and it was fantastic if a little too dark. But I was surprised at the difference between the Bourjois product and the Garnier BB cream.

The Garnier product does smell fantastic, if slightly too perfume-ey. I often have the pretense (false or otherwise) that perfumed products contain ingredients that may not be fantastic for my skin. But it wasn't unpleasant. I do think that the coverage is nice, but the solution I find is really thick in comparison with the Bourjois product. I am not sure what that means in terms of unnecessary products I am putting on my skin but I tend to steer clear of 'thick' solutions as they can lead to an oily consistency if you put on slightly too much. This was easily fixed by applying with a sponge but in my mind I want to use a BB cream if I am in a rush as it is a multiple use in one product and if it doesn't feel nice when applying a small amount with my fingers then I am not completely sold.

I used the medium colour and found it ideal for a semi pale to slightly tanned skin tone (would hate to think how pale the light version is)...Applying a little more ensures that you achieve a more tanned look if that's what you're going for. All in all, it does look nice - I am happy with the final result. But for the price I would probably revert back to using a decent moisturizer with a little bit of liquid foundation squirted in as long term this seems much more feasible and applied nicer - and will feel like a less heavy liquid.

Tips: I found the solution quite thick in comparison with similar tried and true products. Applying with a sponge solves this issue!

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream

The first thing I noticed about this product when I opened the tube was the scent. I'm not a huge fan of scented makeup but luckily it dissipated pretty quickly. The second thing was how thick it is for a BB Cream! I found on my skin it blended pretty easily for its thickness - I applied with fingers and then buffed over it with a flat topped brush. However, I did have a few issues with this product so that I probably wouldn't wear it again by itself: 1. It's pretty oily. I tested this out with primer and without, and I was quite shocked that without primer actually worked better for my skin. However in both instances I noticed that by the end of the day my nose was pretty shiny - and that's not a problem I normally have. 2. The shade. While I'm pale, I'm not ghostly so I was kind of annoyed that the Light colour was actually too dark for me! This was especially noticeable when I applied my concealer afterwards (I have quite dark acne scarring so even with a full coverage foundation I need to apply concealer to these) - even with buffing in I still had pale patches that were even more noticeable towards the end of the day. 3. The longevity of the product. This definitely started to wear off towards the end of my day. As it's a BB Cream and therefore quite sheer it wasn't super noticeable but as I said earlier it just enhanced the fact that my concealer was a different shade. All in all it's not a *bad* BB Cream, but probably not one I'd repurchase when I run out.

Tips: Use as a tinted moisturizer or as a base under foundation. Also, if tossing up between Light and Medium, go for Light. It's darker than I anticipated and you can always warm it up with some bronzer.

Yes, I agree. It's more of a tinted moisturiser. I used it as a base/moisturiser under a mineral powder. I found this helped with some of the longevity and shininess .

Garnier BB cream

Although the colour of this BB cream was much too red/ orange for my yellow skin tone, I loved the texture and the satin finish, it gave my skin a lovely luminous look, which is what I love. I like that my skin felt hydrated all day too. If I could of had a shade more suitable to my skin tone, I may have purchased this again.

Garnier BB Cream- More of a tinted mousturiser

I normally use the combination skin type of this product in Summer, however I find it too drying in the winter. I was very excited to trial this product and see if it performed on all its claims. The tube is a nice gold colour and it has a convienient flip top. Perfect for those mornings when you are in a rush and next to get going quickly. The first time I used the product I noticed its creamy texture and pleasant smell. The product looks very thick when it comes out of the tube but glides on easily and has more of a sheer coverage then you would expect (from looking at the product in the tube). It is very easy to apply and requires hardly any blending. The colour (light) matched well with my skin tone as wasn't as orange looking as some of the other Garnier BB creams. The first time I wore this product I used it on its own to see what it could deliver. I was not that impressed as the coverage was sheer I didn't feel it covered any red areas or blemishes. I also prefer a matt finish and this was definitely dewey. To solve this problem I used a mineral powder to set the BB cream and give it more of a matt finish. I also used an additional concealer for those pesky area, such as under my eyes. Even with the powder I still got a little shiny by the late afternoon. I have definitely come to like this product more as I have used it but for what it is, more of a tinted moisturiser than a BB cream. I will be sticking with my ZA BB cream for now.

Tips: I would suggest keeping this for weekend use (rather then long days at the office, as it doesn't last all that well) when you want a lesser make-up look. If you like a more matt finish or for need extra coverage use some powder and concealer.

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream - Normal R

I generally have normal skin but do get a few blemishes round my chin from time to time.

I found the consistency to be quite creamy and thick, but quite light at the same time. I just applied the product using my fingers as I don't usually wear a lot of makeup and as a mum to a toddler I don't often have time to apply any. It was quite easy to apply this way although it did leave me feeling like i had caked on foundation.

The packaging was very informative and eye catching. The price is affordable and it is good that it is available in a range of stores including the supermarkets

I would definitely give this product another go if I had a little more time and a bit of help to apply it.

Tips: Apply it lightly to start with and then see if you need more

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream - Normal

After using the product for a few days, I've found that it does not make a good foundation as it does not conceal anything on my face. However, I have found that in a way it is a great moisturiser, but leaves me feeling like I have wet skin. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a 2-in-1 of a moisturiser and a foundation.

Garnier bb cream...

I was really excited to try my first bb cream after hearing so many people rave and honestly im disapointed didnt do what I expected. There are a fue good things about this product, I love love love the smell and the consistency of the product. The packaging us really attractive and I think the amount of product you get for the price is good. On the negative side I even in the light shade the colour is really dark. I found applying really hard my best results were with a flat top stippling brush but I jad to use alot if product to get coverage. I did like thay it is buildable and could go from a light to medium coverage. I had to use my normal primer powder for ok results. It is very dwey and shinny which without a matte powder made me look oily after about 4 hours. As a replacement for foundation and medijm coverage it lasts a good day. I think I would use again if the colour was lighter but not this shade maybe in summer. I will try some other bb creams tho made me want to explore.
