Garnier Skin Perfector BB Cream Review

I have normal to oily skin with freckles . At the first glacé I liked the packaging the gold really appealed to me . The consistency was a little strange it was quite thick but kind of greasy but not oily . I used both a brush and just my fingers but found it was much easier to apply with my fingers . I did like how it smelled it was very floral and lasted for about half an hour or so . When applied my skin appeared quite shiny so I had to finish with a powder over the top. It also didn't last very long on it's own especially when out and about . I wouldn't reckon end it to many friends but maybe someone who doesn't use makeup so much

Due to the courier not delivering this product on time I only had a couple of days to review and use it. My skin type is normal, this cream proved great on my skin. Although looking and feeling like quite a heavy cream it went on lightly and was easy to spread evenly across my skin. I only had to use my fingers, no sponge or brushes needed. The colour was good on my skin and gave my skin a natural look. The coverage stayed even on my face throughout the day and appeared to not rub off onto my clothing etc. The only downfall I felt was the strong almost overpowering fragrance when you first apply the cream, however this did decrease as the day went on. Overall a lovely wee product to throw in your handbag for everyday use.

The packaging was ok basic but easy to use and I was impressed with the amount of product you get 50mls compared to 30mls in my favorite bb cream so that's definitely a plus and it had a nice fresh smell to it.

I did find it super thick which I'm not used to in a bb cream. In a bb cream I want a light no make up feel and I definitely didn't get that it felt heavy and sticky.

It was also in my opinion quite dark I got the shade light and I don't feel I'm super light I'm about medium light if that makes sense lol. The coverage was ok no more or less than I would expect in a bb cream.

A couple of times I applied foundation over top and this was a fail it looked dry and in places it rubbed off as soon as the sponge touched it.

I wouldn't repurchase or recommend it to friends there's better products out there.

I thought this would be good but the texture felt almost greasy? And it kind of came off really fast - I actually felt like I was sweating it off even though it wasn't hot, I think it's something to do with the greasy feeling. The colour was ok - which is nice because quite often all of these are too dark for me.

This was the very first face coverage product I used, and it was a good stepping stone to better products.

It provided good coverage for me when I was younger (around sixteen to nineteen), but ever since then I've preferred other products.

It doesn't cover redness very well, and tends to look a bit slimy on my skin now, even with the use of setting powder. The consistency is very thick and feels a little like putting a face cream on than a foundation.

I won't be using this again, but perhaps someone else would have a better experience?

i won a tube of this on facebook. i rarely win anything so i was excited. i dont use foundation often i prefer to go without.

the tube is nice and decent size for the price. i feel like a little goes a long way. i liked that this didnt cake up on my skin but i didnt like the fact that it looked practically gone by the end of my shift.

it doesnt have a noticable smell. i dont have many things wrong with my face unless you count my wrinkles. but it was okay coverage. i thought it just sunk into my wrinkles and made them more prominent. it also made me a bit too shiny. i dont think i would repurchase.

I really expected to love this product but it was a real disappointment.

I thought the packaging was great, cute and compact. I also thought that it was a good size for the price.

The formula itself was a lot thicker than i expected. It seemed quite creamy and had no real fragrance which was good.

Applying it to my skin though, it was sticky and heavy. I didn't find it went on evenly and left me really sticky and shiny. I put my usual foundation and make-up over it and it did not look good. I think if i had used a power foundation it might have been better? I ended up with a dewy completion, which at times is great, but wasn't what i was looking for. I also found it made my foundation patchy and didn't last very long.

The next day i tried the product on its own. Again it was shiny and sticky, I have a 'normal' skin type (not oily or dry). I can see that they were wanting to give it a glowy look, but i think its gone a little far. I also found that there was little to no coverage and it didn't really balance my skin tone out the way i expected a BB cream would.

I have the normal BB Cream in the colour light – first off this isn't overly light, I would say it's suitable for a light tan because it is very orange.

The product itself is a very generous size compared to some other BB Creams.

When you squeeze this out of the tube it is very thick, because of this I found it very difficult to apply, it caked when I used my hands and when I tried to blend it with a brush it went very streaky. One layer wasn't enough for me, I felt it didn't even out anything, I still had the same redness. It was my skin just a little bit orange.

I feel like I look quite oily as soon as I apply it, this isn't usually and issue for me until I get towards the end of the day and my natural oils start showing through. I was really hoping once this set I wouldn't look as oily. When I touch my face, I feel my hand sticking to it a little bit, and if I pull my hand away slow enough I can hear my hand pealing away from my face, I hate my face feeling sticky so much.

This transfers really easy, onto my phone, my hands, my top. You wouldn't want to hug anyone while wearing this or they would end up with stained clothes.

I have so far tried two of Garniers BB cream and I can say they do work great UNDER a foundation for a flawless look. I apply after primer and use a small amount, then let dry before applying my foundation and I find no need for concealer. It doesn't cake, and looks great. This is the only use I have found for these BB creams, if I hadn't of found this use for them they would have been going in the bin.

I have one more to try but I'm not very hopeful anymore.

I received the "normal skin" BB cream to try. The majority of my skin is normal, however I am quite dry in the corners of my nose, and my chin is prone to pimples so in certain areas "normal" doesn't really apply.

The BB cream is very think, but thins out when you put it on which I liked, however once on my skin it felt very greasy. This disappeared after a little bit. The first time I tried it I had moisturised before hand (forgetting I had the BB cream to use!) so the greasiness stuck around a bit. It is easy to apply - I just used my fingers to blend like I would my normal moisturiser. There is a slight smell to it which wasn't completely off putting but luckily you can't smell it once you've blended it in - otherwise I wouldn't want to smell that all day. I felt that this didn't give me much coverage like my normal foundation would, I still needed to use concealer and I most definately needed my powder - infact I think I used more powder than I usually do. The BB cream did seem to make my powder last longer, however I know finishing sprays can do that too so I would rather use one of those instead of more powder. I found the BB cream made my dry nose spots very oily - and my T-zone was oily all day. Maybe I need the oily skin one? The packaging is ok but I didn't see any improvement in "signs of fatigue, dullness, imperfections and blemishes" like it says on the pack (it even says immediately but I never thought that). Overall this isn't for me as it doesn't provide enough foundation-like coverage and it left my face feeling greasy.
