Garnier Skin Perfector BB Cream Oil-Free Review

As a virgin BB Cream user, I was a little sceptical about trying this cream out. I've heard great things from friends who already use it, but not being a foundation/tinted moisturiser wearer usually, I wondered if this would end up going the same way as my previous forays into such creams.

The truth is my skin tone isn't terrible and I don't get many breakouts. So I don't feel the need to wear creams like this. But hey, I took one for the team and set off.

Firstly the colour. I went for medium and then immediately worried that I might look like an oompa loompa! I'm not your typical pale English rose but some creams can be a bit too dark. Not having looked at testers in the shops, I took a bit of a gamble.

As it turned out, it was a pretty good match for my skin. As coverage is relatively light, it seemed to blend quite naturally with my skin tone.

Applying the cream was really easy. I just used my fingers and, with the nice light texture, it spread thinly and evenly. It doesnt appear to be easy to 'clump up' and gather in particular areas too badly.

Being oil free, areas of my face that might normally be feeling pretty greasy by lunchtime remained fairly dry for the majority of the day. Very little, if any shine.

The overall finish was really nice. It evened out my skin tone nicely and doesn't feel at all heavy. I can't even tell I'm wearing it! My skin usually dries out when I wear foundation or tinted moisturiser, especially around the nose and cheeks. When this happens, most creams make me look scaley and flaky. This cream doesn't dry my skin out as much, and even the areas that are a little dry (not necessarily attributable to the cream) aren't as prominent as previous creams I've used.

I could be converted simply because this cream feels so light and is so easy to apply. As my profile says, I'm a low maintenance kinda gal, so anything that's a bit more 'plug and play' in the beauty stakes is a winner for me!

I was skeptical when it came to this review as I had used other BB creams before but had not been convinced they were any good . This BB Cream is amazing - left my skin feeling so soft and I didn't even have to use much foundation over the top so the coverage is actually pretty good for a light cream . Consistency was a bit like sunscreen but if you read the instructions, for a more matte finish - apply it twice so I did that which made it lots better ! Will definitely be buying again :) Product will be great in the summer when foundation melts off !

This is an amazing product :) first of all, I like how the tube is long and thin; it makes the product very easy to handle when you are using it. It has a runny consistency and a mild, fresh smell. I apply it by putting a small amount on each area of my face and working it in with my fingers. What I love most about Garnier's BB Cream is that it gives you a natural-looking coverage without you having to worry about any cakey effect, which some foundations are prone to creating. I have skin that tends to go oily throughout the day and which means I'd have to apply more foundation in order for it to last longer. With this product being oil-free, I was very happy to see that I could wear this product for the whole day and still have that even coverage by the end of it! However, for those of you who suffer from acne, know that this product will only cover them to a certain extent. I apply concealer after using this product to finish off :) I would definitely recommend this product to a friend, it is my most reliable go-to product that I will use on a daily basis. :)

My skin is usually combination - can be oily in places and dry in others. One the oily areas makeup usually wears of quickly and dry arras can be hard to blend. I found the consistency a bit runny at first but quickly got used to it and it has amazing coverage which suprised me for its consistency. It was easy to apply - I used my fingers. Blended very easily and smoothly on both the oily areas and the dry. I moisturized prior to every application which helps. The product had a nice light fragrance that didn't bother me at all.. i barEly noticed it. My skin is quite red especially on my cheeks, but the bb cream blended nicely to cover the redness and evened out my skin tone.. even enough so I was brave enough to wear the bb cream on its own without foundation which I did not expect! It left a nice Dewey almosy matte completion which felt dry to touch and not shiny or oily at all and it almost felt like I wasn't wearing any makeup. I did wear it under foundation when I went out and found it made my skin look amazing and flawless and helped the foundation blend super easy. I even had compliments of how great my skin was looking! On its own it lasted about half a day before the redness in my cheeks and on my nose were visible but under foundation it helped it say put a long longer then normal. The price (around $20.00) is a steal.. i would happily pay between 30 -40.00 for this product! The size is great.. it dosnt take much to get good coverage so I expect this product may last me a while and the spf 15 is a great bonus! The I love the look of the packaging.. very stylish and the shape of the tube was very easy to use and convenient.. easily slips in my handbag! After only a few days of using the bb cream I have noticed it has helped control the shine on my skin and even smoothed out some of the dry areas I had. It blended well to reduce my redness and definatley evened out my skin tone while wearing it. It even reduced the redness of a small mole I have which can be hard to cover. I don't have very noticeable pores anyway so cannot comment on this but it has given a radiance to my skin I didn't have before.. The comments from others I had prove this! I would definatly recommend this to a friend.. In fact I already have! I've tried similar products before claiming to do the same thing but have not found a product yet that worked like it said, but Garnier has managed to do it with this product. I don't think I will ever be without it from now on!

When choosing this product i wasnt sure which shade to choose so i chose medium, in hind sight i should've chosen light. I like the coverage it gives when applied thickerish, but i have to apply it thinly because its slightly too dark for my skin. I havent used it for long enough to know how it works on minimising pores Will definately try again making sure i chose the correct shade

I'm a 'have-to-blot-midday' kind of person with the oilyness of my skin, and the other two BB creams I've tried have actually broken me out, so I was a tad hesitant as to what this would do to my skin - but so far I'm very happy.

It's quite a light consistency compared to traditional BB creams, feels more like a runny tinted moisturiser, but goes on nicely.

Not too sure how it would go at covering any real nasties (in terms of pimples), but it evened out some redness in my skin well.

My favourite surprise with this product was that the 'light' version was not too dark for my skin! Usually when products come in light or dark, I'm lighter than light is made for. Especially in winter, this is awesome!

So I have very combination skin, (depending on the time of the month i can be very oily). I found the product to be nice and cream (although a little thin for my liking) but very easy to use.I just used my fingers. No ugly lines ect are left and is absorbed nicely. I used the bb on its own and loved the natural matte finish it gave, so didn't use any foundation. I only had to apply once and it lasted through out the day. I would definitely use it again. :)

So I have used this particular brand BB cream a few years back and wasn't overly happy with it. I can't even remember now what I didn't like about like about it, but I gave it to my sister and moved on to another brand. When the opportunity came up to trial this product I thought I would give it another shot and I am glad I did! I have had people commenting on my skin and how great it looks. I have been wearing it to work instead of foundation and find that it gives me the coverage I need, without being too 'cakey' or thick. It took me a while to figure out the best way to apply and wear it. First I tried it with a sponge, but decided it was better applying with just my fingers. I have worn it by itself, with powder and bronzer and today just with bronzer. I find it works however YOU want it to! I haven't felt greasy throughout the day like I have at times when wearing foundation. All in all, I am really happy with this BB cream and would definitely use it again and recommend to anyone. I was excited to get this product, as previously I have tried and enjoyed Garnier products. However, this exceeded my expectations. The first thing I noticed about it was that it stayed on all day! This was including through exercising and sweating, it was still just as good as earlier in the day. My skin gets quite oily in some areas but dry in others, and I found this product to keep the oily areas at bay. However, some of my drier areas did look drier after application, but with some moisturizer put on prior, I didn't have any more problems Originally when I first took it out to apply with my fingers the product was quite runny. However, when applied to my face, I found the product to appear as a powder, which allowed my skin to breathe. As my skin can get sensitive to smells, the lack of smell that I found, really was appealing to my needs. Unlike most other BB Creams that I have tried, the packaging was long and slender which looked very chic. Unfortunately though this seems to mean that the cream comes out readily with just the slightest touch and I ended up pushing a little too hard the first time I used it. Using this product I have found that my face looks evenly toned, and I do not have the shine that some other products produce. It felt as though I had nothing on my face yet lasted all day without reapplication. I am a BB Cream addict and use it daily instead of using foundations which cause me to break out and this product has proven to be one of the best I have found. I would recommend this to a friend as a replacement for foundation that looks and feels good!

I have the shade medium and overall I really enjoy using the product. It has a very watery consistency which I actually love. It has great coverage yet a very light natural feel. I applied the bb cream after moisturizing and used my real techniques expert face brush with a touch of blush and mascara for an effortless natural look. It blended well and had a very soft matte finish that lasted all day without getting shiny which is great as my usual foundations tend to slip off my face after 7 hours yet mine lasted a good 9 hours at least! I did try using a setting powder over the top to see what it looked like but found it looked too cakey and doesn't really need it anyway. The only down side was that it was a bit orangey for my skin tone so had to blend my neck in with a bit of bronzer hence why I didn't give it a full 5 stars. I will however be purchasing the light shade to see if that may be a better fit for me.
