Garnier Skin Perfector BB Cream Oil-Free Review

It is definitely a product i will use if i had minimal amount of acne. This product makes your skin look near perfect without making you look like you have heavy makeup on. But the coverage isnt too great. And this BB cream does not hydrate the skin so sometimes it can leave your skin looking flaky and the smallest dead skins on your face will show. Maybe using it with a moisturizer may solve the problem. This product will be perfect for people who dont like to wear foundation all the time since it does make your skin look a whole lot better. The good thing about this product is that it absorbs really well and it gives a matte finish which is perfect for people who have oily skin.

I hadn't really got on this BB cream band wagon until BR gave me the opportunity. I was using the shade Medium for the Combination to Oily skin, as I have exactly that, Oily to combination skin.

My first impression was the bottle was simple and attractive but slightly awkward, so it pulled me in more to try the BB cream, then as I opened the bottle and gave it a squeeze to see what the product was like and it was really runny and the product dispenser hole is to big for the runny consistency. I prefer my face products to be a bit thicker. The smell smelt to chemically, and it kind of put me off.

Thoughts when using product: they say a little goes a long way, and that is definitely right for this product, which is a great feature as, it means it can last that little bit longer. I found it easier to apply it with a brush to get a more even finish than when I applied it with my fingers. With this product giving a light coverage it was great to wear if you dont want to put a complete 'face' on and the smell I mentioned above? Non existent when on your face. YAY!

I tried many different methods with the BB cream: With primer, without primer, Primer/setting powder, base for foundation. and to be honest the best method I found was just using the primer with the BB cream.

As the days wore on, I found it a great product even when it 'developed' a bit to much, but then I just reduced the product amount applied the next day. I didn't have any issues with it wearing off during the day , I would get a good 7 hours out of one wear before I would take it off.

I had one little issue though, I became very itchy around my face when I used it. But I loved this product for all its minor flaws and it is a great product.

I would recommend this product if all you are looking for is a light coverage and easy quick application.

I have never liked Bb Creams, I have tried two different ones and I've always found they just sit on the skin, even with setting powder they haven't given a nice finish. This is completely different though..it sunk into my skin much like foundation and my skin is pretty clear (besides a little recent scarring) and it made it look really clear. It suggested to apply another thin layer over any areas that aren't covered, so I did this and found I didn't even need concealer! It's very matte (which I love as I have really oily skin) and because it's such a light liquidy texture I found it sunk into my brush which was actually really good for application! I pressed a little harder to get product then blended out lightly with my brush. I have found after wear it for just over 8 hours with no touch ups it has seperated around my nose and has a slightly cakey appearance in this area..but touching up during the day would probably help this. I find this BB Cream is like a foundation but super light in texture. Definitely recommend!

I have oily and sensitive skin and I frequently have to deal with acne and clogged pores. I also have open pores on my cheeks and the centre of my forehead, so when I saw this product I just knew I had to try it.

The bb cream is pretty watery, and it feels incredibly light on my skin. I must say that for such a watery and light bb cream, the pigmentation of this bb cream is incredible. A little goes a long way. I also love how the tube feels solid, and although it doesn't look like it, I think the tube actually holds a lot of product and will last me a long time.

So as I said, the pigmentation of the bb cream is superb, and it provides pretty decent coverage. I have quite a fair bit of blemish marks on the side of my cheek, and one layer of this managed to make them about 60-70% less noticeable. Only the major marks still show through. Since I usually wear this in the day, I haven't tried building up coverage, but I believe it can be easily be done by applying just one or two more layers.

On the downside, I find that the color may look a little orange toned on some people, and I have heard similar comments from friends as well. It came out looking pretty orange on my hand, but when it dried out it looked rather natural and didn't have that grey shade that most bb creams do.

Application of this is easy as it is runny and spreads easily. I find that i can quickly distribute it evenly without having to rub or tug at my skin too much. So when you're rushing in the morning, slapping this on doesn't take much time. The watery feel disappears after a while and the product becomes matte, but you still have sufficient time to spread it out on your face before it dries out.

Perhaps due to the recent change in weather, I think my skin is experiencing some dryness, and the dry skin shows through really obviously with this bb cream, so don't use this if you have dry skin. On the bright side, this has worked wonders in reducing the appearance of pores. I also tried this on half my face, and at the end of the day the side with this bb cream on was more matte than the other side with NOTHING on. So it definitely does what it claims - smaller pores, matte face, reduces imperfections... The only claim I strongly disagree with is that it is moisturizing (so I gave 4/5 stars)

In conclusion, this product has truly impressed me, and I can't wait to bring this back to hot and humid Asia to test out. The low price is definitely a plus point as well.

The coverage is absolutely amazing and it blends out so well, I loved using this as a foundation rather than a BB cream. I'd recommend this to anyone who is wanting a light yet full coverage BB cream. The only downsides I had with this was the packaging as every time I would twist the lid off the product would squirt out on its own. And my skin broke out quite badly after a few uses. But overall it is great!

So I'll be honest, this is actually the first time I've ever used a BB cream on myself. Having very oily and sometimes problematic skin, the thought of using a sheer dewy product hadn't really appealed.

But I was pleasantly surprised with this offering from Garnier. I tried it 3 different ways to see which would give me the best finish and the longevity I so desperately seek. First up I trialled it on bare freshly cleansed skin with no moisturiser underneath. But I found this left my skin still feeling a little dehydrated and towards the end of the day my skin began to over compensate leaving me needing to use a little blot powder to get rid of the pesky shine. The coverage is really impressive for a BB cream, hiding redness and evening out the majority of my skin, I personally prefer a slightly more flawless look so still used my concealer over the top to achieve this.

Next up I used the BB cream with my usual moisturiser underneath, but this led to my skin looking and feeling very oily in just a few hours. Lastly I used it in conjunction with a Garnier primer, this was the winning combination for me. No moisturiser just primer onto a clean face then the BB cream applied all over with a foundation brush. My skin looked fresh and healthy and lasted most of the day before I had to apply any powder through the hot spots.

I like that it has little to no fragrance and that it comes in a handy tube so is nice and hygienic to use. It has me converted, although I'm not sure I would describe it as a matte finish, I would think of it as more of a demi-matte as it gives the skins a beautiful healthy sheen.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to find a more natural alternative to a heavy matte foundation that can end up looking cakey and flat on the skin. It's nice to know you don't have to loose out in the coverage department to look less made up.

I found this cream very light and easy to apply, i used it as a base and then applied my powder on top, and found it worked quite well, would use this product again, didn't have any bad smell either. It worked really well with my skin and did not have oily skin when it was on.

Being the first time I've ever used a BB cream, I can't compare this one to other brands, but I can say that I am very impressed by this product. The lightweight cream glides on smoothly and blends evenly to create a healthy glow with a non-oily, matte finish which lasts all day. It also conceals any patchiness or redness. I have a sensitive skin and usually get a few spots from my foundation, but this BB cream felt just like a moisturiser. I would definitely pay the recommended retail price for this product.

First time using a BB cream, and was really impressed with this one. Spread on evenly, I have a dark red mark on my forehead, which it covered up perfectly. Nice and light, coverage does last all day, and actually has reduced pore size! also worked well underneath my normal foundation. The only downer for me was the smell is quite potent when you first open tube, but you don't notice it once it dries on.would def use again!

I love this product It covered my imperfections very well, my skin felt moisturised. It was light on my skin and very easy to apply. You don't need to use very much at all. I have not really noticed changes to my skin yet like the results claim. As I have only used it for a week. Will continue to trail it for the full four weeks and see.
