GARNIER'S new BB Cream,  combats shiny, oily skin, by combining the power of ultra-absorbent mineral pigments for an immediate matte look and perfect, even-toned skin.

The oil-free BB cream works in five ways. It reduces imperfections, moisturises, gives skin a healthy glow, delivers a beautiful matte finish to skin and provides all-important sun protection with SPF 15.

GARNIER'S Oil-free BB Cream provides instant results while also improving the skin’s quality over time. After four weeks the results are clearly visible; skin is less oily, pores reduced in size, imperfections are visibly reduced and skin radiance is improved.

It has a  new active ingredient,  Mineral perlite - a powerful volcanic rock extract known for its ultra-absorbing properties.

Mineral perlite is able to retain up to two-and-a-half times its weight in oil and water and is five times more absorbing than talc, meaning any excess sebum is absorbed to fight that oily shine. This combined with uncoated mineral pigments gives the skin an even tone and a perfectly matte finish

GARNIER Miracle Skin Perfector-Oil-free BB cream is available in two shades - light and medium.

Not For Me

The colour was too dark as I thought I wouldn't suit the lighter shade. Cream itself was runny and easily spread across my face so you don't need to apply a lot. Was easy to blend it with a flat top brush, did cover the redness on my cheeks and did give my skin a even tone and a matte finish. Wasn't too heavy on my skin, felt just like moisturiser. Did last a while, after some time the colour sort of settled down and the darkness of it was not as noticeable compared to my neck. Wasn't full coverage, did not manage to fully cover my freckles and blemishes.

SKIN PERFECTOR BB CREAM Oil-free SPF 15

Well, I was thinking that maybe I needed to use this cream long enough, to see if it was beneficial. However, even after applying the first times. The texture was quite thick and sunk into my wrinkles. Unlike the other (BB) creams, which I found to be smooth in that texture. There was no grit, if you know what I mean??

Tips: Hmm, always use a moisturiser before applying

Not impressed

I've never tried a BB cream before, so I don't have any experience with what they're like or what they're supposed to do, but the description of this BB cream specifically says that it helps control oil on your face.

The consistency of the BB cream is runnier than I was expecting, and the scent is quite strong (but a nice scent at least). It's a tube so you have to squeeze it out, like toothpaste or something, which I guess is convenient since you can choose to use a small or large amount - unlike pumps, which give you a set amount whether you like it or not.

The first day I used the BB cream I applied it with a buffing brush and chose not to use any powder. It was really easy to apply this way (I did try applying it with my fingers the night before, just to see what the coverage was like before I wore it to work the next day, and I think applying it with a brush definitely gave it better coverage). The coverage was okay, probably the same as a medium-high coverage foundation, I used some concealer on some spots that weren't fully covered then was good to go. By lunch time I noticed that my forehead looked super shiney, and that the makeup had gathered/moved in between my eyebrows. I wasn't very happy with this result, so the next day I decided to wear some powder to see if that would help, however, I still got the same result - still looked oily by the middle of the day and the makeup still bunched up between my eyebrows and around my nose (the powder I used was MAC MSF natural).

Overall, I was not very impressed by this BB cream and would not recommend it to anyone I know who has oily skin - this brand of BB creams may be AMAZING for people who have dry or normal skin, but definitely not oily. The product did not do what it was designed to do, and the only reason I would use it again is because I now have it and don't like wasting products.

Tips: Apparently Korean BB Creams are a lot better, so try one of them instead.

Disappointing... Garnier BB Cream Oil-free SPF 15

I didn't enjoy this product at all. I have recently tried and loved Garnier BB cream sensitive so assumed this would be very similar. I found this to be too liquidy in consistency. While this seems like a silly reason to not like the product I found that it came out of the tube too quickly and therefore made a mess in the lid and gave me excess amount each time I used it. I didn't like the colour of the product, and had the same colour in the other BB cream i used so I am not sure why it was so inconsistent. I also wasn't a huge fan of the smell - again in comparison to the BB cream - sensitive that I have tried previously. I did however like that while it went on (excessively) liquidy it dried and became a matte finish. Also it is a bonus that it has SPF in it. But because of the consistency and colour issues I wont be using this product in future.

Not a fan of this product

I brought it hoping that it would replace my foundation during day time use, it goes on lovely... however after about half an hour or so it begins to oxidise on my skin and appears orange, and half way through the day I'm oilier than what I would have been if I had skipped the bb cream and went out with a bare face. I just do not think BB creams are for me which is a shame because they feel so light and airy on the skin.

If your skin is orange, this'll work for you!

I was really excited to try this as it's a reasonably price and accessible product, but when I did it was very disappointing. :/ My skin is quite light, and this 'light' toned BB cream was orange on my face from the get-go - then after wearing it for an hour it'd oxidised to a beautiful darkened oompa-loompa tone. Asides from the colour, it doesn't blend out very well, even over primer, and separates a lot on the skin. My skin is combination and I'm prone to acne, and this made my face look like a child's painting to be honest - caught all my drier patches, sunk into the pores and clung to the peach fuzz on my cheeks, and separated all over the face.

Overall, this BB cream is a greasy orange mess and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Tips: Don't try it. Just don't.

Too sheer, too orange

I'm a big fan of the regular Garnier BB cream, but I do find it get's a bit oily, so I figured this would be ideal to try, but it just didn't work like the regular version. The BB cream comes in a long skinny tube, with plenty of product given it's price, so this is very budget friendly. Unlike the regular version, this is very runny in texture, and when squirting product out, it tends to squirt everywhere and I end up with way more product that intended. I own this in the lightest shade yet find this is quite orange toned in colour and way too dark for me, and the colour doesn't blend out well, so I can't get away with it being too dark (whereas I have no problem with the regular Garnier BB cream being too dark). I also find the coverage of this is incredibly sheer, once blended it doesn't appear to have covered any thing at all, it's just muddied my face. This doesn't make my skin look nicer, which is the idea of a BB cream, it just makes it look muddy and greasy with zero coverage. It also would completely wear off during the day, despite it being set with powder and setting spray. I can normally make any product work, but this just wasn't for me. I can see it working for those with more tanned skin, that want really sheer coverage, but this just didn't deliver for me on what I think BB creams should do.

Does what it says, but had toxic smell?

Initially I really liked this BB cream. It is a cheaper daily alternative to heavier foundation, moisteriser and SPF. It gives a nice light natural-looking daily coverage and is lightweight on the skin. However, after a while the product developed a strong alcohol/chemical smell. I don't what caused this (maybe it was just the one I had), it didn't change how the product applied or worked but I took it as an indication of the ingredients being put in it and it wasn't the smell of something you would want to be putting on your delicate facial skin?

Not for me

This was actually the first bb cream I ever tried, and it almost put me off. I found it was hard to spread evenly at first, though it was easier once warmed. It just looked really artificial and wrong on me lol. The colour was a bit dark (I had the light one as I'm reasonably pale) and it looked like too much liquid foundation, kind of cakey. It acted like liquid foundation too by sliding off my face during the day. My skins just too oily for this.
