GARNIER'S new BB Cream,  combats shiny, oily skin, by combining the power of ultra-absorbent mineral pigments for an immediate matte look and perfect, even-toned skin.

The oil-free BB cream works in five ways. It reduces imperfections, moisturises, gives skin a healthy glow, delivers a beautiful matte finish to skin and provides all-important sun protection with SPF 15.

GARNIER'S Oil-free BB Cream provides instant results while also improving the skin’s quality over time. After four weeks the results are clearly visible; skin is less oily, pores reduced in size, imperfections are visibly reduced and skin radiance is improved.

It has a  new active ingredient,  Mineral perlite - a powerful volcanic rock extract known for its ultra-absorbing properties.

Mineral perlite is able to retain up to two-and-a-half times its weight in oil and water and is five times more absorbing than talc, meaning any excess sebum is absorbed to fight that oily shine. This combined with uncoated mineral pigments gives the skin an even tone and a perfectly matte finish

GARNIER Miracle Skin Perfector-Oil-free BB cream is available in two shades - light and medium.

Easy to apply

I loved the Garnier Oil free BB cream. So easy to apply with your fingers, just like you do with moisturiser. No noticeable smell. Liked the thin nozzle type tube so you don't over use. It gives a nice matt finish which seemed to last the day, even on my t-zone oily skin. Gave a nice coverage over my red cheeks without feeling heavy. Felt natural to the touch during the day, but did notice that it does rub off and needs to be reapplied. Not long enough trial to see skin changes, but will revisit this review and advise any changes in a month or so. Will definitely be buying this product as an easy no fuss foundation for me over the winter months. Have purchased the anti-ageing in the past which looked a little shiny, but the oil-free was much better for my skin type without having to apply anything like powder over the top. If you haven't tried a BB cream before, would recommend you try Garnier, choosing which of the 4 types available, suits your skin type best. Like me if your skin is oily I think the oil free might work a lot better than the anti-ageing which I initially bought as I'm 45+!!

Tips: Have a second BB cream in your handbag for touch-ups during the day.

Not quite as good as I hoped

Well I've got my BB Cream and the box looks promising, with the words 'instantly perfect skin' I was keen to try it.

The cream has no fragrance of note and I like the small nozzle which is good because the cream is quite thin and comes out quickly.

I smooth it onto my forehead and it feels and looks great, so far so good. I continue with it onto the rest of my face but it doesn't look as good because I have a few imperfections that it doesn't cover. It smooths on nicely, possibly a wee bit dark for me and has a matte finish which is great. It does a few things that it claims - yes it does reduce the look of pores and evens out my skin tone.

If it stayed this good for the whole day it would be fantastic but unfortunately either my skin or the product is too greasy looking a few hours later. I notice by the afternoon that my skin feels greasy and the product just doesn't stay looking matte, I have a shiney face.

I probably would use it again if I can't find one better, but would have to reapply in the afternoon. I like that it's affordable and feels light on my skin. I don't like that it just doesn't provide the coverage that my skin needs and goes a bit too greasy after a while. Great product to use if your in a rush or only wanting a light coverage. Feels more like a tinted moisturiser to me.

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream Oil-free

The product is a thin, runny consistency. It is easy to blend and has a relatively matte finish. The colour is good as it isn't a thick product so it just perfects your natural skin tones. It is medium coverage as i find it reduces redness but not fully covers spots. It doesn't last all day about 8 hours I find and that is after setting it with a powder. I don't find my skin getting to oily over the day so perfect for oily skin.

Tips: I wear the product with moisturiser as a base and apply concealer, and a setting powder.

Instantly Flawless slightly flawed.

I had high hopes for this as many people have raved about it to me. This is one of a few BB Creams I have tried so was really keen to see how it stacked up. Packaging: Box clearly stated it was for Oily to Combination Skin, that it was Light with SPF 15. However the white printing of the information on the back of the box was awful, with a few lines having no gaps between words. They are trying to cram too much information into a very small space. I got fed up reading the 'How Does it Work' as their bold words caused letters to blend into each other. I like that Garnier states their packaging is from responsible sources.

Product: No discernable fragrance, which I prefer for face products. This was not a cream however. On several occassions using this, if I held it at the wrong angle, the 'cream' would pour out like a liquid. I had to keep the tupe with the lid up. The colour was perfect for my skin as I am fair, so no issue with that. I wasn't that impressed with coverage compared to another BB Cream I have used. I had to apply 2 layers at least in order to get the 'flawless perfect skin' look, and even then I touched up some areas a third time. Once on, it did last all day under normal conditions. As this was for Oily-Combination Skin, I am pleased to note that it did not clog my pores up at all, nor was it drying. My skin felt comfortable, without any shine and had an improved appearance while wearing.

All-in-one: Listed are 6 key benefits as the all-in-one. Shine Control (yes) & Matte Finish (not really) Reduces Pores (appearance of, yes) Corrects Blemishes (appears too, yes) Hydrates (not entirely sold on this) UV protection SPF 15 (I didn't use any other SPF while wearing and found no difference to when I do)

Overall, it is a standard BB 'Cream' which, while doing a fine average job, could do better in a marketplace where other good BB Creams have more aspects to the product.

Tips: Pat your second & third layers on rather than applying like a liquid foundation. This enables the product to be built up for better coverage. Let your moisturiser dry properly before applying, otherwise this already thin cream will be thiner. Store with lid upwards. If you want a good even coverage, use as a base to your foundation. Use as a concealer on blemishes under foundation.

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream Oil-free S

The first few days I tried this, I was very disappointed in how it looked on my skin. When I had moisturiser underneath, the BB cream made my skin look aged, heavy, dry and over-tanned. The BB cream was quite runny when I applied with a foundation brush, but absorbs quickly and appears to be quite thick and not natural looking. After 1 hour of application, my face became quite dry and needed to remove and reapply so it wasn't uneven. It does cover redness quite well, however with my skin tone, I think it would have blended well with a lighter tone. Overall, I didn't like the tone, or the way it made my skin looked aged. The way it dried out my skin was also disappointing, therefore I would not use again.

great product, wrong colour

I was so excited to try this product as I had heard a lot of good things about it. The BB cream lived up to the good things I had heard such as, smoothing skin, correcting colour, light weight, decent coverage for a BB cream. My only problem was that even tho I got the shade light, it was still too dark for me, quote an orange tone. I still used it by applying a lighter powder on top, and I wore it alone on one of my "home" days (would usually wear no make up) to get a feel for the way it wears and I found it stayed great for about 3/4s of the day, the rest of the day wasn't bad, just started rubbing off.

Tips: Great as a primer

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector Oily & Combination

Having never used a BB Cream before, I had no expectations when trialing this product. I found it very easy to use, the light texture made it spread evenly across skin, and the coverage from one application was enough for a natural day look. I also used it mixed with primer under only concealer and powder for a casual evening out, and the coverage held up well.

Shine Control and Matte Effect: While it did control shine longer than if I were wearing foundation, I wouldn't claim it to be a matte effect on my skin.

Reduces Pores and Imperfections: For a light coverage product, I was surprised at how well it did cover imperfections, though I didn't notice an improvement to pore size visibility.

Evens Tone and Boosts Healthy Glow: Yes to both these claims for me when worn alone.

Hydrates and UV Protection SPF 15: I found I could wear without moisturiser, but my skin felt better when under eye cream was also applied first. Loved that it also had a little SPF.

Tips: Handy to have for a get ready quick morning, or when you have limited packing space for all the face goodies!

Loved it!

For a cheap BB cream I was pleasantly surprised! With typical and traditional BB creams they tend to cast a grey tint over my face, even if wearing foundation overtop. With this BB cream in "light" I was pleasantly surprised! It matched my skin-tone better than any BB cream I had tried before, although I'm not sure if this would work for extremely pale people.

I found the coverage to be high for a BB cream and it created a nice and natural finish on my face. When trialling this product I switched my routine up daily, to either wear alone or under foundation.

Wearing alone:

On these days I felt comfortable in my skin, but still a bit naked. The majority of my redness was covered and basic pimples were disguised aswell. The longevity of the product was acceptable and I found that it kept oil from developing in my problem areas for an acceptable period of time. I would say the finish wasn't completely matte, although I loved the finish. However, I noticed that sometimes it would clog the pores on my nose up ( especially when wearing under foundation) and it would look very unsightly, gross and very bumpy! Two thin layers of this BB cream would be adequate enough for me to wear it alone!

Under foundation: As this BB cream has quite a bit of coverage compared to primers and bb creams I have previously used it definitely pays to only use a thin layer when using it under foundation. I definitely found it helped my foundation to provide a higher coverage and also went on more easily and blended better! Although it can get quite cakey depending on how much foundation ( and what foundation) and how much BB cream you used. It's definitely best to try it out a few times and see what combinations work best!

The product and packaging: The formula for me was very runny! Although easier to blend I definitely found that it was messy to use. I often used a foundation brush to really work it around my face and minimise the mess. My cap always seemed to be covered in the BB cream when I opened it as It didn't seem to have a squeeze seal on the nozzle so it often just leaked out.

The scent of the BB cream was quite nice and tolerable for me but I couldn't smell it when I was wearing it ( which I hate)

I haven't been using this product long enough to notice the four weeks difference in skin qaulity but I will definitely update this when I know more! I have although noticed a reduction in breakouts as this BB cream may be more breathable than regular foundations!

The BB cream is definitely buildable and enables users to control the finished result easily.

This BB cream would be a great step for young women or first-time makeup users to use when starting out on foundation! If this had been around a few years ago I definitely would have been happy for my mother to offer this alternative over a foundation! I believe this could be a great stepping stone for beginners. If this had been around longer I would have saved myself alot of mistakes in my early days!

Tips: Apply with a brush to get a nicer more even finish, Use thin layers in order to easily build up the coverage Only use one thin layer under foundation as it can easily get cakey

Offer it to your child as a "first foundation"

Good tip about "first foundation". I recommended this to my mum to give to my teenage sisters. It's perfect as a light coverage for girls who are insecure about their skin. Will help avoid the dreaded caked on mask look I'm sure we all did

Pleasantly surprised

I was pleasantly surprised with the Garnier BB cream. It was easy to use and despite my fair skin, I found it gave a nice, natural coverage. The product is quite runny (oozed out without squeezing as soon as I opened the lid) which makes it messy but also easy to apply and spread. I found I still needed to apply a powder to finish the look. There is a slight fragrance but I didn't find it offensive at all. Overall, I think its a great, affordable option for daily use. I'm quite fair and find it hard to get a good colour that doesn't make me look orange and this cream didn't so I'm impressed.

Tips: Less is definitely more, it's quite runny when you squeeze it so be careful or a whole lot will come out. If using your fingers to apply, it's good to have a towel etc handy to wipe your hands.

Garnier Oil-Free BB cream.

I was super excited to be selected to be on this trial. I received my BB cream last week, and since then I have been using it everyday to make sure I had a fair trial of the product.

First impressions of the product. On receiving the product I read the box that it came in, have seeing this before in stores but never reading it. It had instructions for use and a claim for both short term and long term benefits of this product. The formula itself came in a long tube with a secure cap. The tube is perfect for travel as you can be sure the product won't leak all through your bag!

My skin type is combination, although it leans towards the oily side. In Winter my skin becomes dryer than normal, but still oily so I figured this product would be perfect for me. The consistency of the formula is thin and very runny! Make sure you don't squeeze the bottle to hard or you will get too much product. The product is very easy to apply. I used to beauty blender to apply, this gave a smooth finish, a lot of people use their fingers to apply the product but I hate using my fingers to apply my make-up! This product does not have a smell, at least as far as I can tell it doesn't. This product gives a sheer coverage, although you can build it up for a fuller coverage. The finish is matte. I found that the product lasted for around 5 or 6 hours, although it last's longer if you apply finishing powder after using the BB cream. This product is reasonably priced for what it is, I would use it over the other BB cream's I have tried. As I have only been using this product for a week, I have not seen any of the long term results. Although I am excited to see if I will benefit from the products promised long term results! When using the product I noticed that it minimised my pores and redness, it also gave my skin a nice healthy glow and a matte finish! I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

Tips: If using a sponge to apply the BB cream, make sure it is damp so it does not absorb a lot of the product!
