I have sensitive, combination and recently quite acne prone. I am very fair - nw10.
I found this product extremely oily, sheer and most of all it was bright orange on my face. I got the colour "light" which is not really light at all unfortunately :(
I really wanted to like this product because I use Garnier pore filler and dark spot corrector everyday and I love them! But this one just fell flat.
I applied it with my fingers and with a brush and neither of them worked. My face looked neon orange - my boyfriend commented on it straight away. Quite embarrassing.
The formula felt very very thin. Maybe I am just used to Korean BB products are are quite thick but this one was very very sheer.
The smell, normal Garnier kind of smells - not too bad. Didn't seem as strong though.
Overall, this product isn't for me. But my mum does love her one (the anti-aging BB)
Appreciate the opportunity to sample it though - I probably would have picked it up in store anyways.
I wanted to love this product. I really did. The regular Garnier BB cream was the first BB cream I tried and I genuinely loved it - until I realised my skin was reacting to it.
I love BB cream, I really do. And I love that they have a formula for sensitive skin.
As with the regular stuff, the tube is a generous 50ml - which is great for a BB cream. You usually get a stingy 20-30ml. It has a very very faint aroma that vaguely reminds me of sunblock, but this is more reassuring than anything as they haven't added any extra fragrance to cover this smell, something which is important when you are dealing with sensitive skin.
When I put it on the back of my hand it felt quite light, and went on quite smoothly. But when it came to applying it to my face - that was another story.
On my first attempt I must have put it on too thick because it ended up being a very bizarre experience. It was like it it went all thick and clumpy, especially around my temples. Like the sort of goopy chunks you get when you've kept a foundation for many many years past its use-by date. I wondered if maybe it was because the BB cream didn't mix too well with the moisturiser I was already wearing. So I wiped everything off my face and started again.
This time I applied it sparingly and worked it in with my hands (I tend to use my hands for BB cream, rather than a brush. It just works better for me). It turned out to one of those products that, once it gets into your eyebrows, is really difficult to smooth out.
I have a couple of patches of very mild contact dermatitis on my face (above my eyebrow and on my cheek) at the moment. This is left over from the last product that I reacted adversely to and a this BB cream really stuck in these areas and emphasized them, rather than hiding them. This was unfortunate, given that such rough patches are quite common amongst people with sensitive skin, and thus the exact target audience of this product.
I did note that the aforementioned dermatitises did not become any more inflammed or itchy when I used this product - so it would probably usually be quite good for my sensitive skin.
On the plus side, the rest of my face looks quite nice from a distance. And the rest of my skin feels quite smooth, which is always a plus. And because I applied the product with my hands, it is all over my fingertips and is proving quite difficult to scrape off. In fact, the product has remained all over my fingers whilst I typed this whole review, which is more wear-and-tear than I would ever expect my face to go through on the average work day - so I am going to go ahead and say that the longevity for this product is excellent.
The colour of this product is also lovely. Nice and matte.
Tips: Try having relatively flawless skin before applying this product, and you will find that it beautifully moisturises and mattifies your face. Also - avoid getting it in your eyebrows.
