Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation Review

After trying numerous foundations and finding that I would have to touch then up while I work I decided to give double wear a go after hearing so much about it! I was matched and given samples to try and fell in love! I love a fuller coverage foundation as my skin can have quite a red undertone so this foundation is perfect for me and it stays put all day with nearly any touch up required if you wish to wear it during the night.

I took the plunge and brought it! best decision ive ever made! its the ultimate foundation and worth every scent (i paid $82). It literally doesnt budge at all. Stays perfect throughout the whole day and i dont even need to set it with a powder. The finish is flawless, and covers everything and i dont even need to build up the coverage. One layer looks perfect. Im just so happy with the product and will be forking out the $82 again without hesitation

I love the coverage of this foundation, and that it dries nicely and doesn't rub off much. Still haven't found the right shade (not olive enough) even though there are lots of shades! I usually prefer foundations that are lighter in texture but this works well. Definitely expensive though, but should last a while since you don't use much to cover your face.

I have a love hate relationship with this foundation.

Love - because it stays on all day, it almost looks flawless and its full coverage, not sticky

Hate - can look cakey, you need the exact amount or less to make it look flawless, it can take a tiny dab of this to make you look cakey, it feels heavy, i can just feel it on my skin, its not a natural finish, you can definitely tell you're wearing foundation, can't find a spot on match to my skin tone, price is expensive

It seems like i have more cons than pros but i really do like this foundation but only on days I'm out and about all day, and you need a refresher like mac fix + or something to make it look less heavy and cakey

THIS IS COMPLETELY AMAZING!!! It only needs a tiny bit to cover your whole face, and it stays on for so so long!!!

I had found it so hard to find a good foundation i had tried so many from expensive to cheap and finally i got recommended to try double wear it has been 4 years now and i still love it as much as i did on the first day! i use to find my make up wouldn't last all day and now this with a bit of powder and im set for the day!

It's been a week now and I'm impressed. This foundation is long wearing and does not move! I had a nap and when I woke up it was still there. I didn't even use a primer with it but the coverage was even and full just how I like it! If you like sheer coverage this may not be the foundation for you but I found that it really concealed imperfections well and was not oily ( I have combination/oily skin) but was impressed with this Matt finish.

I LOVE this foundation, it lasts all day on my oily skin and looks incredible. I like the fact that it is a medium to full coverage so I can sheer it out for a really light application or I can apply a little more and have a flawless face. Colour is really nice too for my pale pink undertone skin.

What an awesome range of colours to match every skin tone! Even managed to find one that matched me perfectly, cool bone.

I found the coverage superb and they staying power was incredible, managed a full 12 hour shift with out any flaking. However I felt it was quite dehydrating for my temperamental skin and after about a week of use my skin was very dry and dull. Solved this problem by mixing with a BB Cream because I couldn't stand to let such a great colour go to waste.

I found that this product clung to my dry patches and looked horrible, I also got colour matched wrong by the lady at the Estée Lauder counter so I'm not very happy with the experience in general. However my sister uses this and loves it, she doesn't have dry skin and always looks flawless with it on, so it all depends on your skin type.
