I use an argan oil through my hair after every wash religiously, so I've tried quite a few. I picked up the Essano Argan Oil Hair Recovery Serum on sale, and thought I'd give it a go since I like the Essano brand and it is also made in NZ. The one I brought was 50ml in size, and the actual oil is quite runny, so you need to get it through your hair and ends fairly quickly or it seems to go everywhere. I'm not going to say it's a great argan oil, it's alright but I really didn't find it overly great. It left my hair soft and with some shine but there are much better options out there. I used half the bottle before going back to another of my favourite argan oils because I just didn't feel it was doing anything spectacular for my hair. Also I couldn't stand the smell of the product, it seems to be highly frangranced and wasn't a smell I particularly liked. I still love alot of Essano products, however I can't recommend their argan oil as being anything special.

This stuff made my hair feel greasy, and didn't really help with anything. It didn't do anything for my frizz or curls. If I wanted it to get rid of my frizz I'd have to use way too much and then my hair would be greasy and it wouldn't be worth it. Wouldn't repurchase.
I find it mostly controls any frizz but it’s quite oily and I feel greasy after using it, like I want to wash my hair! Doesn’t smell like much and you need to use quite a lot to get rid of the frizz but then it’s super oily!
Received as a thank you gift. I haven't had much luck with the hair care products from the brand so didn't have high hopes for this product. 50ml dark colour pump bottle with gold accents. Smells incredible. I best like to use this on damp hair, running through the length of my hair. Doing it this way really helps with my curls/waves and keeps flyaways at bay somewhat. Doesn't work as well for me on dry hair.
I think this will last me maybe 2-3 months so dividing the cost between that, this is something I would atleast consider purchasing in future.
I use this hair recovery serum sometimes when I am going out - it helps stop the frizz & tame those little hairs that spring up when you want to look like and put together. A little goes a long way! I have found that it's only a short term fix though - ok if you're in a rush or need something now. I'd probably go for a hair mask for alonger more permanent fix.
Tips: start off with a small amount on the ends only - it's easy to put too much on & then hair looks oily.
I absolutely love this product, I have issues with how dry and frizzy my hair is from bleaching / over dyeing my hair and struggle to find something that tames and nourish my hair without leaving it feeling dead and heavy , and this works great for me , after showering and washing my hair I blow dry and straighten as I like it to be styled and simply pump one pump into the palm of my hand and apply to the very ends of my hair where needed ! It smells wonderfull to and makes my hair silky smooth without weighing it down xx
So I'm new to essano products but have fallen in love with the brand and all it has to offer. I recently tried the Argan Oil Hair Recovery Serum because of the great reviews I've read online and I was so pleased that the review was spot on. I love this stuff. It goes along way I only need one pump doe my hair and my hair like two thirds the way down my back if that makes sense and it does exactly what it says.
Tips: Do not use too much or your hair will become oily. Also don't leave next to the face serum by essano like the review that I read stated because they do look very similar when getting ready in the dark and I made this mistake when I wanted to apply gace serum and as soon as I put it in my hand I new it was the wrong stuff and had to apply it to my hair when I didn't need it and my hair then looked greasy. But I didnt want to waste it. Also if you are in doubt wait for a sale I picked mine up for around NZD$12 from the warehouse on a sale.
I enjoyed this hair oil a lot, had a nice not too strong fragrance and made my dry ends silky to touch. It’s tricky to use the right amount sometimes as I might feel I need a little more, but then I end up with really oily hair, so whenever you feel like you need more: No, you don’t really! :D Apart from this it’s not different than any other silicone based hair oil, it does the same thing, nothing more, but also nothing less. :)
I have naturally wavy hair and it’s currently a little damaged due to colouring it and I got this as part of a Christmas gift and I’m loving it so far. It’s games the frizz in my hair and makes it feel so soft. It’s also making my hair shiny which I adore! It also smells amazing. Only downside is that the bottle is a little in the small side, however you don’t need to use a large amount so hopefully it should last maybe 2-3 months for me and I have really long hair (my hair goes down to my hips) so will last longer for those with shorter hair than myself.
Other than smelling nice I did not find this product actually worked. I ran out of another product and picked this up on the go. Definitely did not make any difference to my hair even with variation to the amount used. I would not use this product again.
