EOS Lip Balm

I feel a little let down with this product! Obviously I had heard raving reviews about these from instagrammers and youtubers alike and I feel like the only reason these have such a high following is because of that publicity.

Pros: The egg shaped packaging is cuuuuuute and unique Stays on the lips for a fair while Love the mint flavour - this is the only one I use Smells great in the tube! (see below) I have the Lemon, Summer Fruits and Mint ones. The Mint one makes your lips feel tingly!

Cons: It is far too hard for a balm. It takes ages to apply because it does not go on smoothly at all. Although it smells great in the tube, this scent does not transfer onto your lips at all -EXCEPT the mint flavour does. Wayyyyyyy overpriced.

In conclusion, I love the Mint version, but will not purchase again, or try any other flavours.

No.. just no.

When I saw my friend use hers, I was fascinated straight away and I needed to have it, but it was so expensive! The packaging is good, sturdy, and you can reuse them (so I've seen on many youtube videos). So I was given three from a friend, in the flavors Summer Fruits, Blueberry Acai & Passionfruit (I believe) and I'm a sucker for anything that looks cute & smells absolutely yummy! It did the job, but as soon as I stopped using it (basically because I misplaced it, and I didnt want to open another one without finishing the other one) my lips were ultra dry, cracked, sore and took ages to heal. My lips relied on this, so it wasn't good at all. And when I was using this, I felt that I needed to re-apply a lot more during the day. So all in all, I feel that there are other lip balms that work way better than this one without becoming reliant on these lip balms.

For others, it might work for them however that wasn't the case for me. I've started using it again and my lips are already becoming drier every time it wears off, so I don't really know what I'm going to with the spare one & the one that I've already used.

Tips: I guess, try for yourself. The results are different for everybody depending on what you're looking for. Good for a 'last resort' lip balm, but I wouldn't recommend using this religiously.

EOS

When I first heard of these I HAD to try them! The packaging is the cutest thing ever, and they are super easy to apply. But, I found that I would be applying every 10 minutes because they would actually dry out my lips, not moisturise :( Overall quality is low, would not re-purchase. I also read an article online a while ago that talk about how these lip balms caused rashes and discomfort, so just a word of warming.

Questionable...

When these first came out I just HAD to try them, unfortunately for me they didn't work so well on my lips. Despite the super trendy/cute packaging and gorgeous scents, these dried out my lips even more so than prior to using them. The complete opposite to moisturising :(

EOS Lip Balm - Review

I grabbed a few of these off Trade Me after the hype, and I really don't like them! I had such great expectations of these when I heard everyone raving about them, from celebs to just my friends.

These cost quite a bit, I found a pack of 4 for $40 which was horrendous to me. However I did want to give them a go so I bought it.

These come in loads of different flavors which I love! They all smell super delicious and every one is unique.

At first I loved the packaging, but now it's just annoying and bulky. The lip balm is waxy at first, but as you wear it down it becomes creamy and I do actually like the formula, but it dries my lips out!

I think this is made to make your lips reliant on the moisture this balm gives and when it wears off, there's just pain. One time it felt like my lips were cracking and bleeding just 10 minutes after I had first applied it! I don't even have sensitive lips to start with, and they still reacted to this. I have heard a few people with the same problem, though not many. No matter how cute these balms look to you, I can guarantee they aren't as good as they seem.

I definitely won't be getting these again, the packaging is cute and a cool concept but the balm just dried my lips out so much which felt awful. They cost a lot too, especially here in NZ!

No love from me

These were pure hype to me, and just didn't deliver performance-wise. The packaging is cute although it is really impractical because you can't put it in a pocket!

The real bummer is how moisturising these are on the lips... which is not at all. Even though they have all natural ingredients I found the balm just sat on the surface of my lips and didn't sink in or moisturise at all, so I needed to reapply this all the time.

I guess one nice thing is they smell really good!

Don't believe the hype

These are y far the most drying useless lip balms I've ever used in my life! The packaging is obviously the selling point because I honestly can't imagine ever repurchasing this product. Left a nasty feeling residue on my lips that bled onto my skin within minutes. Not good, not good at all!

Cute.. That's all!

Jumped on the hype train & feeling disappointed with this product. I think the only thing the EOS balms have going for them is the fact that they are unique & cute in design.

I don't find the formula of the balm nice on the lips, it doesn't absorb or heal chapped lips. All they do is give your lips a greasy waxy sheen that eventually wears off, the little container is easier to find in your handbag than a tube lip balm however.

I have since found a better lip balm product so wont be repurchasing this again, they are far too gimmicky & expensive.

Smells nice but didn't work.

I have the strawberry one of these and it smells so great but it didn't help my dry lips at all. I used it every day for 2 weeks and there was no change on my lips what so ever. It was also very awkward putting it on my lips.

Tips: If you don't have very chapped lips this could work for you.

Not impressed

I bought 2 of these (the spf lemon one, and a berry) back a few years ago when they were the big thing online. I first tried the lemon one as I liked the idea that I'd get some spf protection as well as nourishment for my lips. It was awful! It felt horrible on the lips, didn't moisturize at all and just sat on top of my lips instead of sinking in. I thought maybe it was the spf component so tried the berry one and it was the same.

Tips: Save your money for something that isn't a cheap chapstick repackaged in some fancy packaging.
