ecostore Shampoo and Conditioner for Dry, Damaged or Coloured Hair

Totally skeptical about using a non salon product on my Hair I gave this set a go anyway.

Firstly.. The Shampoo is wonderful. I noticed after one wash my hair felt soft and silky and nice and clean.. Lovely light formula and not heavy at all.

With great success with the Shampoo I proceeded to Condition my hair and this is where things got pretty damn ugly..

My hair is a thick, mermaid wavy, dry and color damaged mess! I have never met a product on this mop that was too heavy as usually my hair soaks up all the goodness it can get from hair products.. What can I say.. Never again.

My hair was SO HEAVY after using the Conditioner.. Felt incredibly dry and actually felt like it had made my hair matted?! I was absolutely horrified. My hair whilst still in the shower after rinsing this stuff off actually felt like it was dreading together like dreadlocks.. And I felt like I couldn't get rid of this at all!

I am not big on having to have the matching Shampoo and Conditioner so it doesn't bother me that the Conditioner isn't to my liking so much.. But it bothers me that a Conditioner.. Which is meant to be the moisturizing icing on the hair washing cake.. ACTUALLY did what it did to my hair.

Highly recommend the Shampoo its beautiful. Steer clear of the Conditioner.. ESPECIALLY if you don't like weighty products and ESPECIALLY if your hair genuinely needs TLC!

Fantastic product. Did evrrything it said it would and it leaves my hair super moisturised. The only downside I felt was that the shampoo isnt very "shampoo like" as in it didnt seem to bubble as much as I like, but I guess thats not really a downside. Doesnt have a particular smell which is okay, I do kind of prefer scented shampoos. All in all a good product.

I'm on to my 3rd bottle of shampoo & 4th of the conditioner, did take a couple of weeks to get used to using, as its natural it doesn't have as much lather as other commercial brands. I have really thick medium length hair and find I only need about a teaspoon of shampoo (which also makes it super economical for me!), but I do use 2-3 times as much conditioner, although it has a nice thickish consistency - I've always found I need a little more conditioner to avoid hair like straw! I have coloured hair and find it doesn't strip the colour out at all like some other natural shampoos I've tried before. Interesting to see people get different results but I'd definitely say its worth trying, especially if like me your looking for less synthetic products :)

I have a high opinion of Ecostore products so I was excited to try the shampoo and conditioner!

To start of the whole in the top of bottles is quite small and I found it was a pain if you had long hair to get enough out.

The shampoo doesn't really foam up well when you massage it into your hair, and so I found that a bit disappointing. It does smell nice however! I found if you don't use the conditioner as well it leaves your hair feeling rather straw like and stiff.

The conditioner didn't spread really well through my hair and when brushing afterwards it didn't provide an easy brush as my previous conditioner did.

It's great that this is SLS free and organic, but it wasn't worth the price for me!

I am yet to find a natural shampoo product that meets my dry frizzy hairs requirements.

First tried this product a couple of years ago and it was like I had washed my hair in dish wash it was just so harsh and drying.

However their new formula is a million times better it made my hair so soft and manageable. However as with many shampoos it quickly stopped working. But good to use in conduction with other shampoos on rotation.

Smell is nice and faint and not over powering like I prefer.

Good product for those looking for a natural option and hair is not super dry.

I received this as a sample last year from their website so I was looking forward to trying out something that was completely natural and eco friendly but I have to say that I was let down by this brand because it left my hair dryer then normal, did not hold my curls and there was no shine to my hair and barely any scent to it...I would never purchase this.

I am currently away on holiday and as i was packing my suitcase i remembered that i got sent the shampoo and conditioner 35mls of this from eco store some time last year but had forgotten about them and thought they would be perfect for traveling! Lets start with the shampoo, it is a clear liquid it's not to thin but not to thick either and it lathers up really nice. I only need to use a fifty cent size piece for all of my past the shoulder hair. The little bottle that it came in was easy to fit in my beauty bag and had a screw top, it has very simple packaging as you can tell the brand cares more about the product in side not about the look of the outside. It has no nasty chemicals in it and it smells like tea tree oil but not an over powering smell, the smell does not last in my hair. The 35ml has lasted me around a week. I cant really comment on the price as i got this as a sample but if i was to pay $12 for a 250ml bottle or around that i would be very disappointed because in my opinion this shampoo has been terrible for my hair! it is meant to be for dry, damaged or coloured hair and i have all of the above. It has made my hair feel drier then normal and in the shower when my hair is wet it feels like straw, as for damaged it hasn't helped in the week i have been using it and it hasn't done anything wonderful for my coloured hair. It defiantly didn't live up to its claims. Now for the conditioner! it's a thick white formula, i use a big amount all through my hair as once i have used the shampoo my hair feels so dry and straw like, that i have to put heaps of conditioner through to try to make it feel soft again, it sort of worked but i have to use a lot of product. Like the shampoo it's easy to apply, has the same smell as the shampoo and the smell doesn't last. I didn't like the shampoo and conditioner which i am really disappointed about as Eco Store seems like an amazing NZ brand, they have no nasty chemicals in these two products and there cruelty free. I wouldn't recommend to a friend but i would happily try something else from there brand.

I like this shampoo and conditioner! It's the only one I use. The shampoo lathers up really easily and I don't need to use as much as other brands (I have butt length hair). Not too keen on the feel of my hair before I use the conditioner but that's why I then use it! I limit my hair washing to once a week max as it gets very oily if I wash it more often and this gets me through the week nicely. $9 a bottle seems a bit expensive so I buy it when it's on special but it does last me quite a while

I had been using this shampoo and conditioner for a about a year or so as I was trying to use products with no sulphates or silicones and this brand was very accessible. I actually like the scent of it but over time I felt that it wasn't very moisturising and made my hair feel quite dry and for the price I was hoping to love it.
