e.l.f Brow Kit Review

I bought the Elf eyebrow kit in light after BR put up there eyebrow week it got me to thinking about ways to improve my poor eyebrows that were overly plucked in my teenage years and have never totally recovered. I grew them out as much as I could and always plucked out random strays but that was about it until I decided to purchase the Elf eyebrow kit. Comes in a neat little compact package with one side a wax and the side a powder and a little double ended brush one side angled and the other just a bushy brush.The wax is a nice thick (but not too thick) wax with great pigmentation. The powder is a fine powder a bit of a lighter consistency than an eyeshadow. It took me a little while to get the hang of using this the first couple of times I did resemble someone who had drawn there eyebrows on I was perhaps a little heavy handed. The instructions say to use the angled brush to dip into the wax and do your thing with your eyebrows then switch to the bushy side of the brush and dip into the powder to set the wax colour. The first few times I did this using both but I felt it was too dark and heavy for my eyes. The setting powder wasn’t quite right on me. I just use the wax with the angled brush and that seems to be enough for me to fill in the sparse bits and give me a bit of shape and control. This sets fine without the powder and doesn’t smudge off. This lasts me all day maybe needing a touch up going into evening but for the very low price this is more than worth it. The packaging of this product is great and I love the angled brush but I do find the other side of the brush not particularly effective and hard to use but again for such a great price you can’t complain. This has now become part of my beauty routine in the morning – I see it sticking around for some time.

I never really wear too much makeup, and have only recently gotten into it a bit more. Bought this product after hearing heaps of hype about it, and for something you can buy for $3 online - it is amazing!

After the first use I was amazed at the difference it made to my brows. It's pretty easy to use even for a beginner like me, and although the compact it comes in is pretty small, a little product goes a long way!

The Elf eyebrow kit was the very first eye brow product I had ever bought a couple of years ago and for the price you definitely can not go wrong. Its great for people that are starting out in filling their brows as it comes with the wax and the powders so you can fill in your brows and then set them in place. They also come in a few range of colours so there should be a colour to suit most people. I used my Elf eyebrow kit until it hit pan and then started experimenting with other eyebrow products. I think Elf is still one of my top eye brow products though.

Elf Brow Kits are great for all types of brows and really easy to use even for beginners. An added bonus was the price and how affordable it was

I borrow this from a flat mate and i love it! it is perfect for any eyebrows and stays on all day! it is a reasonable price and i am definitely purchasing one for myself! it is all you need.

This Brow kit is so amazing ! , It was the first brow kit I owned and it didn't disappoint. Would definitely recommend this to anyone that is new to filling in their brows.

This is a really good eyebrow kit for everyday wear and the best part, it's cheap. It does what it intends to do and that is to fill your eyebrows. The only thing I didn't like about it is it's longevity and 'staying' power. It would sort of fade away during the day. However, overall a good product to have in your kit.

I want to start by saying that I already have very full, bushy brows, and if I do fill in my brows it is usually at the start where I have semi bald patches.

This is a lovely little kit, that comes in 4 different shades to match your brow colour. It’s nice sleek packaging makes it look expensive even though it was only $3. Already loving it!

There is a gel and a powder inside with a little mini brow brush. The brush is perfect to do what is required, however I find that it is a little too small to be able to work with properly. I switched it to my own eyebrow brush.

The gel is nice and creamy, and lathers on nicely, I can dip my brush in once and draw my whole brow in without having to go in for a second coat. Note that when you first open the packaging, it takes some time for your brush to work through the top layer and won’t get any product on your brush. Be patient and work at it. The gel is perfect for those who have very little brow hair and shape and want to completely shape it into something new! Highly recommend it for that. It is easy to draw and easy to blend if you make a mistake.

Then there is the powder. I love that after using the gel the powder sticks to the brush and doesn’t create a mess falling down on your face. It sticks to the brow hairs and perfectly matches, it really gives a fuller effect.

When using this, I look like Eugene Levy haha big, bold, black brows, which makes my platinum blonde hair look ridiculous. It’s not something I recommend for people who have a bold brow and only want to fill in a tiny gap. However to draw on a brow, this product is probably number 1!! I’m actually considering shaving off my brows and drawing them on with this instead!

I recently ordered the Elf Brow Kit online and have fallen in love with it! For the price I got this for ($3 on iherb) you cant go wrong. I have nothing to compare this product to as this is the first time i have ever filled in my brows. Although i find the wax application does an excellent job at darkening your brows and getting the desired shape you want i find that it doesnt however do a good job at holding the hairs in place so i also go over with a brow mascara (also by elf) when im finished. The powder is fantastic for darkening that little bit more and making the finished product more natural looking and for setting the brows in place. I am not a fan of the brush it comes with though so i use my own eyebrow brush from real techniques.

I love love love this product to bits! I use this everyday, for a natural looking brow... With having very blonde browns (not actually being able to see them with out having tinting done) I couldn't never find a product to make them look natural. But this has and it's my go-to. Love love love!!
