I tried to use this for contouring, but i found that I couldn't get it to buff out nicely, instead leaving lines on my face, so I've been using this to apply highlighter instead. I thought I would try using it a couple different ways, which for me the highlighter works better than the bronzing contour. Next to try, using it for blush!

I was excited to see a brush in the beauty box. Upon opening I found a soft brush cut on a slight angle with lots of tightly packed bristles. I tried this brush for both blush and an attempt at a powder contour but I found that it left my face with harsh lines and looking too clownish! I found that because the bristles were so tight that the powder just sits on the top of the brush which most probably contributes to the harsh lines it creates. I then tried this brush for applying my powder foundation and I find that I love using it for this purpose! It buffs out my powder nicely giving good coverage and I will continue to use it for this purpose and leave my blush application to my lovely round blush brush! As its only $10 I'm not too disappointed that it didnt live up to its purpose- I'm quite happy to use it for my foundation. I also didnt have any bristles fall out so it seems like pretty good quality.
Tips: When using for blush or contour use a light hand and wipe off any excess onto your hand before applying as it does seem to apply the colour quite harshly! Experiment using it to apply different aspects of your makeup if its not working for you in the cheek department!
I received one of these brushes in a Beauty Box which I purchased a while ago. I was very excited to try it out with my contouring.
The packaging is pretty simple and on par with other cost effective brushes - in a plastic cover with cardboard backing. The brush itself is pretty solid, with a thicker handle than a lot of my other brushes. The head of the brush is ridiculously soft! It is so nice. It has a slight angle to the brush head, hence why it is good for blending different angles on your face.
I started using this product with my contour powder, but didn't really like the results of using it for that. I found it didn't give me a natural line, and didn't blend my contour powder that well.
Over time however, I have found it is GREAT for applying translucent powder under my eyes! The soft bristles (which do not fall out) pick up a good amount of product and applies it well. It has a heavier application, and so suits my style of semi-baking my under eye concealer.
Overall I am glad I have this brush, and I will continue to use it for my under eye powder application.
Tips: This brush picks up a lot of product, so don't be scared to take it easy and add to your application.
I dont like this brush mainly because i prefer to use a fluffy brush, where this brush is dense and stiff. I found it very hard to blend the product and was just very awkward to use.
This brush fascinated me as it was smaller with more tightly packed bristles then my other contour brushes. It took some getting used to as you need a light hand to get the effect you want. I like the softness of the bristles and get the light contour effect I want. I have washed it once and dry it in the sun due to the brush density.
I got this brush in my first Beauty Vault. I have never actually tried contouring! But I thought it looked like a useful brush to have. Instead I have been using it to apply my blusher. I find that it gives me more control than using a kabuki brush.
The bristles are wonderfully soft - much softer than I was expecting - they don't feel rough at all! This makes applying and blending makeup easy.
The handle is metallic grey and silver, and it feels very sturdy and solid in my hand. I am very impressed with this brush and I think I will look at getting more brushes from Cameo.
Tips: I have only tried this on powders, not on liquids. I find that the brush picks up a lot of powder quite easily, so you may want to begin with less product than you usually use.
For when applying from a contour pallet this brush is perfect for first time users as its easier to manage and apply.it still gives a great look and leaves you with a great defined look and yet so simple and easy to use.its texture also makes blending and contouring super easy for the people that dont have that much experience in applying maker to there own or someone alses face
This arrived in my BRBB and I've tried foundation brushes before without much luck - but thought I'd do some homework and make sure I was using the right technique this time. After several YouTube classes I was ready to try! Perhaps it is just me, but I felt that it left brush marks on my face, no matter how I tried to blend, i did find that it helped with getting the coverage under my eyes a bit better, but I really prefer the finish I get when I use my fingers to apply the foundation
I found this on sale at The Warehouse and I love it! For the price it's an incredible contour brush and definitely one that everyone should try out.
The brush handle is metallic grey and silver which I really like, and it has a bunch of baby soft bristles! I was really impressed with the quality of this brush, it feels like a high end one.
I use this to contour and it picks up my product beautifully, I just had to be careful not to go overboard with it!
Overall I just love this brush and I use it most days with no problems. It's a great brush for anyone on a budget as it is cheap but high quality, I totally reccomend it!
Personally I wouldn't use this brush for contouring because I didn't like how it looked. But this is perfect for applying and buffing liquid foundations.
The packaging was quite simple, but for the price you may it looks quite sophisticated I guess. I brought mine for $5 each because they normally are $10 but The Warehouse has 'buy one get one free' offers very often.
This is one of my most used foundation brushes so when there's a sale going on I tend to stock up because I procrastinate with washing brushes which isn't ideal and also because I gift these brushes to family and friends as part of a birthday gift.
I have yet to try some more brushes in the Cameo range. Hopefully I will enjoy them as much as this brush.
Tips: Better for applying and buffing liquid foundation rather than contouring.
