Disappointing pigments

I got these from one of those huge beauty sales and bought lots because they were so cheap but i wish I hadnt.

The blush quality is powdery and I had to use lots just to see any colour results on my cheeks. The blush is not long lasting which does not make it economical if I need to apply a pod a day. There is hardly any pigment in these blushers which was a huge fail to me.

Due to my shopping overload I gave my mum some of this blusher because she is not fussy when it comes to makeup at all. If it suits her she'll wear it, but she gave this blusher one try and gave it back to me. That says alot to me :)

I'm glad I did not but this blusher at normal price because I wouldve been very disappointed.

Fit Me Blush

I personally have nothing bad to say about mine. I bought 'Deep Rose' as I obsess over mauve toned blushers. I have no problem with pigments and it doesn't rub off my face during the day. Great that it comes with a brush, however I do use my own. I'm not sure if I like any of the other colours though, so I would probably only re-purchase my colour.

Tips: Use a bigger blush brush to get a more even, blown out look. The small one it comes with can be streaky with a too heavy hand.

What is it with the Fit Me Range?

Im a HUGE fan of all things Maybelline. The packaging, the advertising, the availability and affordability. But it seems Maybelline have missed the mark on their FIT ME range. I was gifted two of these blushes, I wanted to "squeal" with delight at the CUTE packaging... but that pretty much went out the window when I tried it. Its extremely transparent. I seriously felt as if I was putting colourless dust on my face. Total waste of time.

Tips: Avoid these.

Cheap and Cheerful

This product is a supermarket brand available most places. It's cheap and cheerful and if you're expecting a lot from it - you will be disappointed.

Case: poorly designed. If you try to open from the wrong side you will more than likely snap the tiny hinges first time rendering your case useless. It's really hard to distinguish which side opens if you are in a rush.

Coverage: Ok, if you are using your normal shade be careful to apply sparingly first and build up the colour.

Application: Don't use their brush - it's terrible. Use your own blush brush and apply as per above..

Lasting: I find if applied well, with a moisturiser on underneath I get good glow. I am in an office environment most days meeting and greeting people so I need products to last. Somedays I struggle to keep it on if I am rushing around and busier than normal.

Colour: Pick a shade lighter than you're used to (see tips below). The colours can be quite deceiving in their cases!

Tips: If you have a chance to try them before you buy - please do. The colour (as above) can be deceiving. Also - try your best not to drop it. If you do you can kiss the hinges on the flimsy case goodbye.

Maybellines Fit Me Blush

I brought the medium coral shade at a big bucket sale. I found it wasn't very pigmented , although you are able to build up the colour it quickly fades. I would recommend using a primer before using any of these blushes. The packaging is very flimsy so i would not recommend keeping this product in your handbag. When applying this product, don't use the brush that it comes with as it is terrible for blending and will leave you with horrible lines. This product would be good for someone who was a beginner in using blushes as it isn't such a massive change and when applied with a proper blush brush is quite easy to apply with out looking terrible :p ..

maybelline fit me blush

for a cheaper drugstore brand the product is pretty good, has a good selection of colours, and has a nice shimmer to it if thats the style you are after. Lasts on the face quite well. Not much blush per product though, i found i ran out quickly

Poor colour application

I wasn't able to get any pigmentation from the medium nude shade, no matter how much I tried to apply. The packaging is a thin plastic case, with a small bristled brush. It's flimsy to open, and the brush always falls out. I was disappointed with the packaging, but the shade is a beautiful bronze brown, that looks like it would make the perfect contour shade for a pale complexion. Sadly, when applied it's a sheer shine shade with no colour. Swatching it does the same, just a sheen comes out. Product is coarse to apply. Wouldn't recommend, left a lot to be desired.

Light Mauve

The Maybelline Fit Me range has been more misses than hits for me. This blush does not stray from the trend.

As much as I wanted and tried to like this product, because the warm pink colour is great, I just couldn't. As I said, the shade is beautiful in the pan. Its a warmed pink-mauve tone with very sheer sparkles. But the pigmentation is poor.

No matter what I used (the provided brush, my own brushed, even my fingers), I couldn't get a good colour build up, even if I did get a noticeable tone on my cheeks it ended up fading within a few hours.

The texture of the product is nice, its soft and not grainy but it tends to be slightly chalky and sits on your skin rather than blending into your foundation.

For the price, I wasn't heart broken. But I do believe that there are better affordable blushes you can spend your money on.

Tips: This product could work on pure ivory skin tones, I bought one of the darker shades so if you have anything darker than ivory probably steer clear of this product.

My Everyday Go-to!

I am in love with this blush! I have purchased around 4 and use it until it can go no further!

I have found that each blusher last for around 2-3 months of using it everyday. I use my own brush as the one that it comes with is a little funny to use. Each of the blushers I have had the plastic cover has always broken off so it leaves the blush exposed but still works well. I have just got another one in a darker shade for the winter - can't wait to use it! I would definitely reccommend this blush to a friend, its fantastic and so cheap!

Tips: After it has been applied, apply the FitMe powder to set it :) Works a treat and leaves the sjim looking smooth and flawless
