Maybelline Fit Me Matte+Pore Foundation Review

So I've used this foundation on and off for a few years now. While I do appreciate the price, I wouldnt say it's really "poreless". I noticed around my nose it actually exaggerated my pores a lot, and the matte effect was quite drying so i would definitely recommend this foundation more if you have skin thats on the oilier side. One thing I do love about it is that it has a great shade range and is one of the only cheaper foundations that makes a shade pale enough for me, so thats fabulous. It also has great coverage and is super buildable and blendable, it's okay on my skin when paired with a hydrating primer. therefore i would use it again but i do not recommend this product for gals with dry skin, it'll make you look crusty.

Helps my pores, great colour match and blends so well. It's very good and an awesome price point. I use the matte formula in winter. A flawless match.

I haven't had the best luck with maybelline foundations but this one is the best that I've tried. It has a smooth light-weight formula that keeps me relatively matte during the day but I'm really disappointed with the shade range, their shades are mostly neutral and very fair, I haven't found one that is yellow toned enough for me and they are seriously lacking in their darker toned shades (like many other drugstore foundations) but if you can find a shade that works for you then I definitely recommend it.

This foundation is good, but I don't think it really lives to the hype. It has good coverage and stays matte for at least half a day (i have oily skin). But the package is so messy, it's a twist cap jar kind of bottle with no pump so it's always a hassle to get the foundation out. The foundation definitely oxidises so do be careful with that. It fills my pores in ok and I can understand why it's so popular.

I used and loved the sister product, Dewy and Smooth so thought I would try this to see how it compares to Double Wear.

The colours are great and a huge selection compared to other brands. Consistency wise its a little harder to blend than the Dewy and Smooth, however it does have a mattifying affect so probably partyly why. I do like the finish, however on my forehead it just looks caked on and flaky, my skin must be too dry to use this (it does say for oilier skin, which my T-Zone is).

I'm keeping this one for summer when my skin is oiler and I need a matte foundation so I dont look super shiny and hopefully the finish will be better. So for now, back to my preferred Dewy and Smooth!
