MAC Pro Longwear Concealer Review

The packaging is glass and high quality, very scared it's going to roll off my desk and shatter. Very runny, high pigmented and blends easily into the skin. Doesn't look cakey. I always set this product with a powder so I don't know how well it would last without the powder. You can use brushes or sponges to apply this as it blends so nicely.

I don’t blame anyone making a face at the price when they see how small the bottle is but this is one of those products that is worth the investment and will last you some time. I can’t recall how long I’ve had this product but it’s definitely been a long time and I’ve finally just got under the half way mark so don’t be fooled by the small size. I bought this from MAC US (via Shipito) in the shade NC35 to use on my skintone NC42-44.

I don’t really have dark circles under my eyes to conceal so I use this product more so for highlighting under my eyes, up on the planes of my cheeks and down the sides of my nose. It has quite a thick consistency so it does require more blending than my other favourite concealers. I use a makeup sponge spritzed with Fix+ to blend the concealer into my skin and sometimes regardless of how well I blend, there is still slight creasing under my eyes. When this happens, I always avoid setting (my undereyes) with powder because it just looks ghastly.

The product has amazing coverage but I don’t know about it being lightweight?? I do find this the most “heavy duty” concealer I own but I guess it depends on how much you use and how well you blend it out. When I set the concealer in other areas on my face it generally lasts well into the afternoon; however without setting it, it generally begins to break up by the afternoon so not so sure about this "pro longwear" business. It’s not a noticeable difference to others but on my oily skin it’s not too hard to tell which is why I put in the effort to blend it well.

One thing I dislike about the product is the pump dispenser! Try as you might; you’ll most likely dispense way too much for what you need. I seriously need half the amount that is dispensed so it’s frustrating knowing that I need to try and make use of the ‘extra’ product. You can’t put it back into the bottle and I’m not one who likes to store excess product outside of it’s normal packaging because I feel like this product is as good as it is thanks to the packaging.

I would definitely repurchase this product but recommend going into MAC to ask for a sample so you can see what shade will work for you best. I used online swatches to figure mine out but nothing beats the real thing.

HG concealer alert!!! This concealer is amazing! I've been using another cover up concealer for a while now and noticed it always looks cakey and thick on my under-eye. When i tried this out for the first time i was shocked at how much coverage it gave me yet it felt so lightweight and blended like a dream and left me with absolutely no creases or cakiness! I'm literally so happy right now that my hunt for an under-eye concealer is over. I don't use it to cover my blemishes so cant comment on its performance for that, but if you need an under-eye concealer that doesn't cake up or crease whilst actually covering your dark circles then this is the one!

Another product that i had heard so much about. This product reputation meant i had high, high expectations for it, and because it is expensive, it had to be amazing to justify a price tag that big.

It comes in a tiny bottle, and i mean smaller than a mac lipstick. It comes in clear packaging, with a black pump like dispenser. Which is something i don't like about the product. I wish it had a wand because that is how i like applying concealer, but hey! I can't be too fussy about the design when the product is this good.

And when i say good, i mean good. I have it in the shade NC 35 (when my foundation shade is NC 42), and this colour seems to be a perfect match for my skin tone. The concealer is a quite thick, but spreads easily, and conceals everything. Darkness and pigmentation issues disappear. Plus i also use this over my eye-lid because it is an amazing eyes shadow primer, so you really do get some bang for your buck.

One negative is, i don't think it last for 15 hours. In all honesty, i have not worn in for 15 hours, but by the time i wash my makeup off (10 hours after putting it on), my concealer has definitely worn.

This is a must if you are looking for full coverage concealer. It goes on smooth and clump free, not to mention it hides acne and under eye circles very well! This product comes in a wide variety of shades and even has a very nice light shade for those of us who are on the paler side.

I really enjoy this concealer, its a natural matte finish, it has great coverage, it last all day my only problem is the pump, it squirts out too much product. I find it last 9 hours easy on me. huge color range, hate the pump and the glass packaging

Absolutely love. This is a holy grail product for me and it is the best concealer I have ever tried. The reason I love it so much is because it does not crease like so many other concealer and it just gives a really flawless finish without looking cakey. Would definitely repurchase and recommend.

I have tried many concealers looking for a creaseless finish...I think it is still an ongoing search but I do really love the MAC pro longwear.

I have the shade NW15 which is pretty pale and I like a slightly highlighted concealer which is a little lighter than my foundation. This shade is a good shade for what I am after.

As per a million other reviews, I'm not a huge fan of the pump, but if you are super gently you can pump tiny amounts out at a time! Would be so much better if it didn't have the pump though.

The best way I apply to reduce creasing is to apply with my fingertips tapping lightly under my eyes to make sure it has the right coverage and then I damp a beauty blender and dab underneath on top to smooth it out. Once that is done, I powder under my eyes very carefully not to disturb the concealer. This way sheers out the concealer slightly so that there is not TOO much creasing.

The price is pretty decent for the amount of product you get and it is MAC so you have to expect to pay a little more.

I would definitely purchase this again however for us girls out there that are mid 30's we do have to be careful not to apply too much at once otherwise those dreaded creaselines appear! Eek! Compared to others however, this is worth a go!

Ok so talk about Full coverage, this does that. No more bags it's just amazing. I have tried many concealers and this one is the best by far it doesn't crease and it's just what we all need in a concealer. Completely in love with it.

This concealer does everything that you hear people raving about!! It doesn't crease and it is very full coverage. I really love using it when the darkness under my eyes is at its worst. The only reason I rated it less under would I use it again is because of the price! It does last a very long time depending on how much you use, but I'm sure I have products that do a similar job that aren't as pricey.
