MAC Pro Longwear Concealer Review

this product colours any redness i have or any undereye circles the only problem is its very hard to get a little bit of product out and always seem to get to much

This is by far my favourite concealer for under my eyes. I have big smile lines around my eyes so most concealers crease really badly on me. This is the best concealer i have found that doesn't crease. I like to use NW20 to cover dark circles or NW15 if i want to highlight my eye area and other parts of my face. The only thing that bothers me is the pump. I find it hard not to pump out too much product.

I have that typical problem of having uneye lines and bags so trying to find a concealer that doesn't sink into them is hard. This for me is probably as good as it will ever get. While it still sinks in a bit compared to other concealers I can definitely handle a little sinking. It lasts all day which is great and comes in a cute little bottle. However the pump on the bottle is just stupid. You get so much product in one pump and even when you try to only pump a bit a ton will come out then it's like you are wasting sooooooooooo much. Still I found my own solution for that so I don't mind so much

Don't be deceived by the high price and small bottle! A little goes a long way. Just a small match head size will do both under eyes and pimples if you need. The concealer hides the dark circle under my eyes, unfortunately for me I have fine lines around my eyes so every single concealer sinks into it, even this one. This concealer does not move an inch and lasts all day. It's well worth the $40 and pays for itself, as you'll have it for way longer than any other concealer.

Sorry about the caps but it is soo worth the money. Feels great on the skin, doesnt move like other concealers and blurrs out any imperfections with a great finish. Also the girls/guys at the MAC counter are great at matching you up to your correct colour.

Ehh.. I hate to be saying this but the only thing I would love for them to change would be the pump, as it does dispurse too much product in my opinion. But once you get the hang of it, it is definately worth the purchase. I am also very curious to see how it works on a more mature skin. So I guess I will undate you when that time comes ;)

I am all for bargains (Online shoppaholic) but if I have to this is one product that I will go instore and buy. In NZ Mac Stores these retail for $40. They are of thick consistency and have a really full coverage so are perfect for my under eye circles and also good for brightening as well. It also has a matte finish which is perfect for oily skin and can also work great as a eye primer to make your eyeshadow pop. It doesn't crease which for me is a biggie as I have really bad lines under my eyes and this concealer helps cover it all up. The only con about this product is that sometimes I tend to pump more than what I need but other than that this is one product I will keep with me all the time. (Tend to use leftover concealer for defining my lips and brows) The product also lasts a lifetime. I have half left and I brought it almost 8 month ago. Highly recommend.

This is my go to concealer, the best that i have come across so far. I tend to get dark puffy circles under my eyes and have in the past had trouble with concealers caking and creasing making me look like I have crows feet and wrinkles! Less than idea, plus I'm 21 so not really keen on the premature ageing look! MAC Pro Longwear concealer is the best I have ever used! I would really recommend that you go into your local Mac counter and get colour matched for these and tell them your needs so they can sort you out. I ended up getting two shades, one slightly lighter than the other so i can use the lighter one around my eye area and the other on spots and what not. This formular doesn't crease or distort in any way, but i do find that a primer before and setting powder after help for the all day stay power. Its really easy to blend and I find that i can get seamless results when i put my foundation on over top. The only problem that I have, and im sure that everyone else thats ever used this product has had is that darn pump!! So annoying it always pumps out way too much than you need unless your really really careful, theres a fine art to getting the right amount of product out of this pump!

I didn't want to jump on the band wagon until I had a chance to visit a Mac counter and try this on my skin first. I tried and instantly bought this at Auckland airport. It's coverage is superior to any concealer I have ever used sets very matt is easy to apply. Although I do agree with too much product coming out of the pump. My only regret is not buying a lighter shade as well to highlight or use in winter. It's now on my shopping list. Believe the hype this is an excellent concealer.

I have just got this and was very excited to try it after all I had heard and very pleased I bought it, its not to heavy and doesn't crease on me, I do recommend a primer before as it is thick and sits better with a eye primer.

This stuff is amazing. I honestly can't get over how perfect it is for me - and I've been on the quest for a HG undereye concealer for what feels like forever (okay, probably only a couple of years, but still).

Why so much love for this? Well, it not only has amazing coverage, it also:

-doesn't oxidise on my fair skin (I use NC15, which is a perfect match).

-contains no glitter or sparkle like heaps of other concealers I've tried.

-sets to a super natural demi-matte finish.

-blends super well so that it's easy to get away with wearing just a bit of concealer under the eyes without it being obvious that I'm wearing makeup.

-covers redness and blemishes well also (although I personally am loving the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer for that purpose at the moment).

-and last but not least.... DOESN'T CREASE. That's right. It doesn't crease. I still can't believe it. Even without using powder to set it, it *still* doesn't crease. Obviously I can't guarantee that it won't do that on everybody, but on me personally I have had no problems.

Now, I will repurchase this forever (unless my dark circles disappear - now that would be awesome!), but there are a few things to be aware of:

-Unfortunately, as everybody else has already said, the pump is terrible. It is really hard to control, no matter how careful you are, and so it's very easy to end up with way too much pumping out. I ended up buying a tiny screw-top container and now I just put one pump in there and use it all up (usually it lasts me for about three days) before I do another pump. It's a bit of a pain, but worth it for the product.

-This is relatively pricey, at $40. However, I can justify it because a) it's by far the best concealer I've found, b) it lasts forever - I've had mine for about four months, and I've used maybe one sixth of the product inside, and c) most "drugstore" concealers are nearish $30 anyway - I'm looking at you, Revlon! Overall, I'm willing to pay it.

Phew, this was a long review! As you can probably tell, I'm rather passionate about this product. Hope that helped some of you! If in doubt, try and go in to a counter and ask them to colour-match you/try it on before you decide. :)
