Maybelline Superstay Better Skin Foundation Review

I bought this product because I had tried a sample out of a magazine, and I thought the sample was great! I was so excited to use this because I though, finally a product that suits my skin tone and has great coverage. But I was wrong. I tried the full product and it dried in a somewhat, powdery way. The coverage wasn't all great, but the colour matched my akin tone perfectly. If I was to apply this using more foundation than I usually would then I'm sure the result will be great. But I won't do that as it uses the product quicker, and it's not made to be used alot in that sence. Now I use it under powder. So I don't have to use so much.

In my (what felt like) never ending search for the perfect foundation I brought this because I had heard and read so many great things about this foundation I had to try it for myself.

I brought this in the colour 030 sand, which was the colour I was matched to at Farmers, now I don't know how but once I tried it at home it was different, lighter.

The packaging of this is quite standard, glass bottle with a pump on top which is easy to get the right amount out.

It does have a nice creamy consistency and felt nice so I had quite high hopes for it and then.....I found it quite hard to blend and almost streaky. I have tried different Primers just to be sure it wasn't a primer but nope it's just hard to blend. It has no scent which I like, It has light coverage with a matte finish something that I try to avoid with dry skin. I also found it sat in my lines and made them stand out more. And the finish was just a tad too light for my skin which bugs me because at farmers it looked perfect.

I have played around with this trying different bases and I just can't get it to work no matter what I seem to try. So to the bottom of the pile this goes and hopefully I can find a new home for it.

I found this product to be average. Needs a better colour selection, mostly for the colder months when we loose a lot of our colour. I did see an over all change in my skin but for me that's not hard because my skin is usually pretty good, however this could be really good for someone who needs a foundation with good coverage and is a bit kinder on their skin. I have not re-purchased this.

I have oily/combination acne prone skin and this worked wonderfully on me! I used my NYX Shine Killer primer, applied the foundation with a damp beauty blender, and I set it with some powder. This foundation is great for everyday use and the lasting power of this foundation is great. I will repurchase this product! Pros: Yellow based colors Lovely pump Not overly priced No fragrance

This is a nice foundation. The consistency and formula are good, it's easy to apply and blend, and the finish is really nice too. I wouldn't go so far as to say it improved my skin, but it didn't make it worse and that's always a bonus!

Love this foundation, I decided to spend a bit more money on a new foundation, and had seen this new one in the shop and thought why not give it a try. It had great coverage which lasted all day without wearing off or looking dull, which when you are a busy working mum is a great thing. It was easy to pick the right shade and didn't make me look tan in the face as I have recently experienced with some other foundations. Friends at work asked me which makeup I was using as they said my skin was looking great and I showed them which one and recommended if they were wanting a new foundation to try that this is one of my faves and definitely worth the money.

I need to begin by saying that I *never* would have picked this product up to try myself. I actually got matched to it when Maybelline were doing a promotion in Sylvia Park mall in Auckland, and was given a generous sample of this foundation that lasted me a good three weeks or so. I was actually so impressed with it that when I used the sample I went straight out and bought a full sized bottle.

One of the things that caused this to not have shelf appeal for me is the packaging. It looks cheap and the fact that the product manages to get all over the inside of the clear lid due to the dispenser having a couple issues makes it look messy as well. I'm constantly cleaning mine.

I was matched to another shade for the sample, but felt I needed one ever so slightly different and selected the Nude shade (021) when I bought the full size (using the $5 voucher I got in the promotion - thanks Maybelline!)

I really like the formula of this foundation. It blends well, doesn't sit around on my skin, colour matches superbly and has a really nice, smooth finish. It lasts well through my often hectic day (admittedly I always finish my foundation with mattifying powder but a decent foundation helps as well) and feels lightweight.

My skin doesn't break out from using this foundation. I wouldn't necessarily back the claims that this IMPROVES skin in three weeks as we all know skin condition is a cyclic thing and it's very hard to judge such things when your skin is okay to start with.

I *will* say that it certainly is nice to use and causes no ill effects. I don't get oily when using this foundation, nor do I find that it moves around on my face excessively. I really like that it's SPF 20.

All in all, i feel that when I use this foundation my skin looks and feels smoother and healthier, which is, after all, most of the point of foundation! I'm happy to continue using this and would definitely re-purchase (but will probably try something else first, because I'm good like that :) )

DEFINITELY worth a try.

I love love love this product! So fast to apply and it doesn't make me break out...trust me that's HUGE! Not that I make a habit of it, but you can sleep in this stuff and it stays put.

I tried this product off the supermarket shelf having seen an ad. It wasn't the cheapest available, but it was reasonably priced.

I had my doubts as to whether it would actually give me better skin, but I think I am slowly being proven wrong. I've been using it for a month or two and my skin is definitely smoother and less prone to breakouts. I haven't seen improvement in any scarring, but overall I do think my skin is better than it was.

Application is quite good, it blends well and can be used with fingers or a brush with pretty equal results.

The only issues I have with it are that the ivory shade I bought is quite a lot darker than I expected from an ivory, and that it isn't as shine-proof as some I've used.

When i first purchased this i thought it was great but the more i used it the more i hated it. I mean I guess i would use it again but I do get dry patches on my skin especially around my nose and i found that it would actually sit so weird on these areas and it just looked gross so i always had to make sure my face was REALLY exfoliated to even wear this product
