Maybelline Superstay Better Skin Foundation Review

For the last few years I have been searching for my perfect foundation. I picked this up at a factory outlet in Auckland . I was keen to give it a try . I didn't read reviews before I purchased this product.

This foundation comes in a 30 ml glass bottle. Has the Maybelline labelling on it. I like that it has an spf 14 in it. The colour I picked is sunbeige. It's the perfect shade for my skin tone. Consistency of this foundation creamy and light. I can smell a very mild floral scent with this.

My first application I tried it with a Beauty Blender but it just wasn't blending out properly. So I tried iit with a foundation brush it was still streaky. Lastly tried using my fingers and it buffed out better. It seems to be medium coverage.

I got about 2-3 hours good wear out of it. After that it oxidised my skin. This seems to be the problem with my skin. I'm still searching for my perfect foundation. I didn't notice my skin looking better from using this either.

So far I've tried a couple of Maybellines foundations and so far none of them have been successful for me. Quite disapointed with this one as everyone says it's pretty good. It's not cheap either. I wouldn't pay thirty dollars for this . Maybe ten dollars at the most for it.

I purchased this in the shade porcelain and it matches my pale skin perfect! So this is a big plus for me as I always have trouble finding light enough shades. I have very dry skin so make sure I use a good moisturiser first otherwise I get a few flakey patches which is pretty normal for me. It goes on very well and blends nicely. I find it lasts quite a while for me and I don't use any powder. I love the finish it gives. Will definately repurchase. I can't comment if it has made my skin 'better' but it hasn't caused any breakouts which is great.

Whether it’s determining your color or the coverage your wanting, foundation is one beauty item a lot of us simply wouldn’t be without. I started using this foundation about a month ago, which has now become my new holy grail! The coverage is very build-able but the finish is flawless without caking on the skin. The texture is a liquid consistency and apply’s amazing with a beauty blender. With this foundation there has been no flashback nor has it oxidized which is a relief. I have slightly oily skin and I have found Maybelline Super Stay Better Skin foundation wears really well on the skin. I haven’t noticed any shine appearing until 6-7 hours in. Which for me is impressive. I am normally doing a powder touch up every 2-3 hours. So it’s great for a drugstore item that really goes the distance. The color selection i find quite warm, there are 8 shades and I have the shade Ivory, it certainly isn’t your typical ivory shade. If your super pale even the lightest shade within the New Zealand market, I think you could slightly get away with using the lightest shade, but only using a small amount. Will you be giving this foundation a try?

I actually really like this one it apples really easily has a smooth look too, makes my skin look porcelain when applied right and the colors are a perfect match.

This was actually my first foundation and it wasn't too bad. Although it was not good for when I had really dry skin. It works good with a primer otherwise it tends to come off during the day.

I tested the claims on this foundation thoroughly and found it to be awful. First of all the shade names as you'd normally find them in a foundation line (e.g. Ivory being one of the lightest) were totally whack. One of the Beige shades would've been better suited for my skintone but I went with True Ivory which was very orangey. I have combination skin and this emphasized both my pores and my dry patches like CRAZY. I didn't find it hydrating, "flawless" and it sure as heck didn't last all day. I kept a close eye on my skin over the 3 weeks where I used it and nothing else and found it did absolutely nothing. Overall I thought it was a huge fail and would not repurchase it ever again.

to be honest this product had no impact on my skin at all. One thing i did notice about this product is that it was a nice constancy and wasn't oily when applied to my face. Although it dosnt really do what it says on the packaging, i do like this foundation.
