Maybelline Superstay Better Skin Foundation Review

I started using this just recently and I was a little unsure if it could deliver. I have found that the coverage is a nice full coverage, that doesn't look like it is caked on. The colour for me blend perfectly and almost seamlessly which makes things so great. I have tried it both with and without powder and find either way works great. On super hot days, when sitting in a car, I find powder does help as it just helps set everything. I often get a little dewy in areas on my face if it is a hot day and it tends to make my makeup streak, but I didn't have anything like that with this and it made me so much more confident going out and not having to stress about how my makeup looked. I kept touching my face as it feels so soft now. Would buy for sure 10/10

This stuff is magical, I was so sceptical at first but bit the bullet and bought it. I LOVE it.

I havent had to wear concealer in the time that I've been using it. I find that it covers my scarring (ugh pimples) well and doesn't feel heavy at all on my skin.

I like that it stays put all day when set with powder and would only need a minor powder touch up to take you through from day to night. My only tip would be to apply without a primer, I found that when I applied a primer before the Betterskin foundation i had some caking between my brows. After a day of trialing applying direct to my bare face it sits wonderfully.

This is definitely my new holy grain foundation. I'm looking forward to seeing how it holds up against a NZ summer and a holiday in Perth.

UPDATE! Still obsessed with this stuff and onto my second bottle. its got amazing coverage for my skin and im finding the more i use it the more my skin adapts to it and is less dewy by the end of the day! Definitely my new holy grail!

This better skin foundation is the newest love in my life.

I'll start off with my skin type- I have dry skin so this review may not be relevant to those with other skin types.

First thing I noticed was this foundation was thicker than most liquid foundations I have used but it applied very lightly to the skin, in fact I almost couldnt feel it.

The coverage is medium(buildable to medium) but the coverage of it was very nice, it wont cover everything and if you have severe scarring or skin problems you want to hide you will need concealer.

This lasted all day on my skin, while it didnt look as fresh by the end of the day, it didnt "cling" to some of the drier parts of my face like a lot of foundations do at the end of the day if I dont use a facial mist of some sort. I didn't use any primer,powder or setting spray with this either.

The one thing I loved is that my friend that I met for lunch told me my skin looked really nice today when I told her I had foundation on she was shocked because the finish was so subtle and natural looking!

The only gripe I have is their light shades(as per usual) run a little darker than my skin tone so I have to blend more carefully down my neck, but no biggie

My skin is on the oily side and I really struggle to find a foundation that lasts really well. After reading about this product it sounded amazing - a foundation that looks after and improves your skin, who wouldn't want that?

It was really easy to apply/work with and the coverage was fantastic. I loved the way it felt and found that it didn't weigh down my skin or leave me looking or feeling like I had a bunch of make-up on. The look and design of the bottle is great, easy to use and very appealing to look at. The SPF20 is definitely a bonus with summer coming up

My new favorite foundation, so happy I went out and bought it. This foundation stays flawless all day long, and doesn't make my skin greasy or dry, a nice thick consistency makes it easy to apply, I apply it with a sponge for an even application. The bottle is sleek and appealing to the eye, when on the shop shelf. It doesnt really have a scent. This foundation does exactly what it says its going to do, stays put for 24hrs (I slept with it on.... oops) but it was still there in the morning. I would recommend this to any of my friends. This will now be my everyday foundation.

I've tried many foundations and some I liked some just disappointed but this one is fantastic. I received a sample in my weekly magazine and its fantastic. Superb coverage, non greasy. Glides on like silk. You don't need heaps for overall cover. I will be buying this product

I picked this up recently at The Warehouse for $33 (bargain!) after hearing some good reviews. To be honest, I wasn't really expecting to like it. I have tried Maybelline foundations before and haven't been very impressed. This one though! I have been reaching for it every day since I purchased it - even more so than some of my high end foundations.

It goes on nicely, although you need to work relatively quickly with this product. It has a really nice finish, definitely more matte than dewy. Even though I find this sets really nicely, I still use a little powder just to make sure it really goes the distance. This foundation does a pretty good job of staying put as well, by the time I get home from work it still looks really good and doesn't go patchy or look cakey - it even still looks pretty good after work AND a gym session.

I also usually get product quite noticeably sitting in my 'smile lines' after an hour or two and this foundation does this much less than others.

What really surprised me about this product though was how easy it was to remove when I went to take off my makeup. Considering that it is a long wearing foundation, it came off so easily! I have tried double wear (which I find Maybelline Super Stay Better Skin is comparable to FYI) and it is so so SO hard to remove. This, however, is not.

The only downside for me is that I found the shade range on offer seemed to run a bit pink. The shade I ended up going with does match me quite well, but I am used to foundations with more yellow undertones - although I can pull off neutral.

Overall, definitely worth 5 stars and I will be repurchasing.

The first time I used this foundation was to a funeral. As one does, there was a lot of hugs going around. Everytime I hugged someone I left a foundation mark on their shoulder. Very embarrassing. So doesn't stay on your face. However it does feel nice on my skin.

I picked this foundation up on my recent trip to Europe and it caught my eye because of the SPF 20 which is so important for me in a summer foundation. Now that I'm back in NZ and its not sunny I'm still reaching for this foundation because I love the way it makes my skin look and the fact it stays looking that way all day! I haven't been touching up while I was in the hot europe sun and itsflawless finish stayed all day. The shade ivory matches my skin very well with not too much pink undertone and ive had no issues with oxidation (or darkening) during the day. 10/10 very impressed with the new one for Maybelline
