Great beginners contour kit!

I bought my kit 3 months ago from a local pharmacy for $19.50 which is an absolute bargin for all the product you get. The banana shade is my absolute favourite and I use this everyday to set my under eye concealer. I like the pink shade just as much but have only used the contour shades for contouring a few times as they are hard to blend and quite dusty. I love matte eyeshadows so the contour shades make great transition shades for eyeshadow! and also can be used as eyeliner along the waterline! I would definitely repurchase this kit!!

Tips: Tap off your brush before applying as there is a lot of fall out.

For behinners!

I bought this product off beauty bliss about 5 months ago. I had read and heard great reviews so wanted to give it a try! It did take a few tried for me to get this right but in the end it does look great! This palette comes with 3 highlighting colours and 3 contouring colours. I find the contour colours are a bit too dark for my skin tone. If you dont have a good blending brush then it does make your skin look some-what dirty. The trick is to use only a very small amount at a time and blend, adding more as you go as you wish. The highlighting colours work wonders even though i only really just use the first one!

Tips: Less is more!

AC On Tour

I use this kit daily. It is fantastic, however it is quite muddy and hard to blend. The shades are great, and it's in such compact packaging it's easy to store. Can't wait to try the cream one out.

Worth The Money

I never thought I would ever get this contour kit any time soon because of how anticipated it was. I got lucky and found it at my local Farmers so obviously I had to buy it immediately!

I really liked the packaging, its quite small which is perfect for travelling with. As for the actual product Im sure everyone knows it comes with 3 highlight shades and 3 contour shades.

The first highlight shade is a matte cream colour and I'm really not sure what the purpose of it is. I use it to set my whole face because it does not add any colour but it does mattify my face. The next highlight shade is the yellow shade which I've seen people use under the eyes. I've heard some people say they find the yellow shade a bit too yellow but I don't have that problem, that could be because I use very little at a time. I do find that it does highlight slightly under my eyes. The last highlight shade is a shimmery version of the first highlight shade and I used this on the tops of my cheekbones, bridge of my nose, cupids bow and chin. This is a very subtle highlight that leaves a slight sheen and I actually love it because I love subtle highlights. Overall these 3 shades are very pigmented and soft but they feel quite powdery which wasn't a huge problem for me because it was so pigmented.

Now for the 3 contour shades: The lightest colour (the middle one in the kit) has a grey tone to it so I thought it would be prefect for contouring but once I tried it on my cheeks I found it to be a bit too grey for my skin tone and it looked like I had dirt on my face! The next darkest colour is a lot warmer and suited my skin tone way better. The darkest colour which was slightly warmer looked almost identical on my skin compared to the middle shade. These contour shades are extremely pigmented so a little goes a long way. I also find that if you put too much it starts to look muddy.

A major downfall for me was the fact that I found all the contour shades really hard to blend. It takes me double the time to blend this out compared to a cream contour which I was really disappointed about.

Overall I really like the contour kit because it is extremely affordable and at the same time its decent quality.

Tips: I would recommend using a slightly more stiff brush to contour to make it easier to blend. I use the Artiste contour brush which is a very dense, stiff brush which makes blending a lot easier.

ABH Dupe

I love this product. I was a little ambivalent about purchasing as I wasn't sure I would be able to use all of the shades. The top three are highlighters and are all different from each other, allowing for a range of looks to be created. I'm so glad Australis included the banana shade, I use this one to set my undereye concealer. The only colour I haven't been able to use successfully is the darkest contour shade, as it is too orange based for my skin tone. The other two work great to define my face. The contouring colours take a bit of work to blend out, but once they are they look perfect. They easily last all day.

Tips: You only need to use a light hand with the contour shades as they are super pigmented.

Powdery And Sometimes Hard To Blend

This kit is okay. Not great, not bad. With my ELF Contouring Blush and Bronzer duo, my ELF bronzer brush worked perfectly to blend out powder. With this, I can't use it.

First of all I love the packaging. Super small, sleek, matte black and it fits in my make up bag to take the place of up to 4 products.

But when it comes to the actual products, I don't love them. Firstly they're all super powdery, no matter how lightly I tap into them. Two of the highlights aren't intense enough for me while the banana shade can't be used to set under my eyes because the yellow really shows up on my skin. Not pretty.

There is one colour that I feel is suitable for contouring, but it's very intense. One's super warm toned and the other is slightly warmed toned, but still enough to make it useless for contouring. I can barely get away with the shades on my skin. One up side is that they are all super pigmented, the downside is that I often end up with streaks of brown on my cheeks that wouldn't look flattering on anyone. None of my brushes except my Real Techniques ones work when trying to blend this harsh line out. Also the powder gets everywhere. Inside the palette, outside the palette, on my vanity... Ugh.

When it comes to contouring and bronzing I prefer shades that AREN'T super pigmented, cos then I can build them up to the intensity that I like. With these they're just too much even when using only a little bit of product. My hopes for this palette being a low cost dupe for the Anastasia Contour Kit have gone down the drain. Now while I don't hate this kit, I think it's overhyped and I prefer my $6 duo from ELF much more.

Update: I'm loving this product a lot more now. I've found after a bit of practice as long as I use a super light hand, I can get a nice contour from this. I'm loving the warmer shade as a bronzer and the shimmery highlight shade is stunning. Just wish the contour would last better on the face.

Tips: Don't be afraid to use these colours on your eyes if you're travelling and trying to pack super light.

Contour Kit!!

I find the Australis AC on tour contour kit very affordable and easy to use! And recommend it to people who are new to trying contouring and highlighting! They are very pigmented and only need a little bit to build the colour up. Overall a great affordable product suitable for any occasion to frame any face shape :)

Tips: Start with a small amount on brush then build it up to the amount you like, also I find using a more softer brush easier than a dence bronzer brush

Great quality at a great price

Im pretty new to contouring, I have a few bronzers but never tried to contour my face properly. Until I found this beauty.

It is similar to the Anastasia Beverly Hills contour kit and although I have not tried the Anastasia contour kit - I have heard it is a pretty good dupe! The palette comes in a slim black plastic package with no mirror, which is possibly why they are able to sell it for such a good price, as you are pretty much only paying for the product and no extras.

I have a medium skin tone and wear both liquid and powder foundation and the palette has all the perfect shades for me. The powders themselves are quite powdery and after using it about 4 or 5 times I noticed that I made quite a dent in the palette already! Im hoping I dont hit pan, but since you dont need much product at all to get a good colour pay off - i dont think it will happen soon.

If you are new to contouring (like me) then make good use of the tips on the back of the pack! And i definitely recommend to use a light hand and a good brush as the shades are very pigmented so a little goes a long way.

Overall, I am stoked with the product and it is incredible value for money

Good colour dupe for ABH Contour Kit

While the colours of this kit look really similar to the Anastasia Beverly Hills kit the powders themselves are so chalky and average quality at best. You have to use a really light hand and just build up the contour you want because it's really easy to look like you've just been playing in dirt if you don't. They are so powdery so really tap the excess off your brush.

I do really like the cool toned bronzer they have. They only have one palette though so if your skin is tanner/darker then this won't be for you. The warm bronzer is nice but a little too dark for me (it's the darkest shade out of the three contour colours - on a tan skin tone it would probably look better).

I don't even touch the highlight colours but that's more because of personal preference. I use the banana powder to set my under-eye concealer but that's about it. I like my highlighter to be more of a sheen than just a lighter colour so that's why I don't use them. If you cream contour they'd probably be good to set your cream product with.

The packaging is really nice and basically looks exactly the same as the ABH one just with the Australis logo and the name of the product in large pink font.

Overall it is good value for money - I only use two of the colours but it is nice having the other ones there just in case I'm feeling them and the price of the whole contour kit is cheaper than the price of a single highlighter and contour powder. I'd probably repurchase it because the downsides of the palette are things I can live with!

Tips: Use an incredibly light hand!

Very pigmented!

These powders are so pigmented, a little goes along way! Seriously, use with a very light hand!

I love the highlight powder, it's not glittery or chunky, just enough of a shimmer to look natural.

The yellow based shade is ideal for setting under the eyes too, I find it cancels out my purple/blue dark under eyes circuses nicely.

There are a couple of shades that are a little too warm toned for me, I prefer the cooler toned browns for contouring.

There is definitely a good range of shades to suit all though. 2 x Lighter shades, a shimmery, highlight and 3 contour shades.

Tips: Use sparingly!
