Nars Orgasm Blush

I love this product! It is definitely one of my staples in my makeup bag as the colour is so versatile and can be used in so many looks! The pigmentation is extreeemely good so just be careful with how much product you put on the brush! I think that this colour is flattering on most skin types which is why it's so universally popular.

I recently did bit of a splurge! I love this shade. It's such a gorgeous colour on, it's not too pigmented which means it's easily built up, so you can have as much or as little as you'd like!

I've been hearing about NARS Orgasm blush for years; I think anyone who reads makeup blogs has. But the price has always been so off-putting. I finally bit the bullet when I had a make up tutorial at Meeca Cosmetica, and had to pay for it by purchasing products (a pretty good deal). It is amazing. I don't know what it is that makes it so special, but I will not be going back to other blushes -and because such a small amount goes a long way, i won't need to be buying it again any time soon.

I was lucky enough to be chosen to be on the BR trail team for this product, and couldn’t contain my excitement when it arrived. One of the reasons why I wanted to try Orgasm was to see if the ‘so-called’ universal peachy pink tones would be flattering and natural on my neutral to cool toned, super-fair complexion. As a general rule, products marketed as being ‘universal’ don’t really apply to me as I am on one of the extremities, but I am delighted to report that Orgasm was completely compatible with my NW10 skin. Couple this with the sleek, modern packaging and the excitement of testing one of the industry icons, we were off to a good start.

Let’s start with the colour. It’s hard to be original with a description so I will keep things simple; Orgasm is a warm, peachy pink jazzed up by an abundance of gold shimmer. The gold within it creates this glorious transition between the pink and peachy tones in the product. Orgasm makes you look very healthy and glowing- kind of like you are radiating warmth and energy. The shimmers give it multidimensionality and mean that the product seems to be dynamic on the face- Orgasm continually changes and catches the light. Top marks for that.

The pigmentation and color payoff of this product lies very much in the optimum zone for blush products in the sense that it’s not dry, chalky or frustrating to build up colour, nor is it so intense that it’s hard to control. No issues with application or bendability- I find that the secret is a light hand at first, a quality angled blush brush and a smile.

For those interested in the packaging- the black rubberized compact is nicely streamlined and certainly feels sturdy to the touch. It contains a mirror which is decently sized, and the compact as a whole fits conveniently in the palm of the hand. The matte rubbery texture does attract finger marks etc. but you can’t have everything and in truth, the goodness inside is what matters more.

I think that there is room for improvement with the wear time of this product. If applied at 7.30 am the pigments start to fade on my skin by early afternoon, but what I love is that the glow remains, instead of the product disappearing altogether. All good things come to and end, but I wish that it lasted a little longer before needing to re-apply.

Nars’ Orgasm reigns supreme over the blush market and definitely deserves its iconic status. It’s easy to see why- it will provide you with a healthy, radiant glow at any time and any place.

A loveable, luxurious and luscious blush that can bring a beauty boost to any woman that wears it. Do yourself a favour and go and try some on, and if (when) you fall in love, invest and enjoy.

This blush was part of my first ever Nars purchase. The packaging is beautiful and sleek, and I love how they don't put any of those stupid throwaway brushes inside. The coral colouring is to die for and looks so pretty and feminine across the cheeks. Its one of my least pigmented blushes, which I actually prefer as I own so many blushes where you can't even look at the blush brush without looking like you doused yourself in the stuff. It does have a sheen/hint of glitter but this is not an issue for me, I find it to be quite subtle and flattering. My only issue is I don't think this has huge lasting power on me, it certainly doesn't seem to last all day. Am a firm fan of this one!

At the start I resisted buying into the hype and instead I bought the affordable dupes but as any makeup lover would know; eventually the enablers wear you down haha.

I was unimpressed for months with this blush - I didn't see anything remotely special about it on my cheeks. That all changed once I applied the blush in a way that suits my skin tone and really shows off the gorgeous peach/pink coral.

The blush comes in a textured black compact that is surprisingly small but I like that because it makes me think that it's possible to pan haha. In the pan, there's no denying how visually appealing this shade is and I really think skin tones across the board can pull it off; even those afraid of shimmer.

Before you go running to the hills, the shimmer is noticeable in the pan and on your brush but it will blend beautifully into the skin so that you don't look like a disco ball. What I love about this blush is that the colour is buildable so you can have a gentle pop of peach coral or a bam-in-your-face 80s baby look - yes I tried - I love clowning my blush :-)

The blush not only has excellent pigmentation but there is a slight sheen to the product. The staying power is excellent; it lasts me all day with very little fading. I buy a lot of my NARS products from Mecca but this blush was from Sephora (via Shipito). Does this blush replace my dupes? Nope but I'm happy to have them all and they do get a lot of use.

I have heard so much about the Nars blush in Orgasm. I was skeptical about the hype - surely a blush can't suit everyone? I caved and bought it on a trip to NYC.

The pink shade is very pretty and pleasant, however the golden shimmery quality is what makes the blush special. Surprisingly the shimmer is subtle so it can suit an everyday look. The golden quality is also what makes it so versatile for various skin tones.

The downside is the price. I have concluded that they must have some kind of makeup witch/warlock on retainer to justify that price.

This is blush a great colour an gives a nice glow, if you like a glowy blush you will love this. On my skin comes off as a bright peachy pink and is very pigmented on my skin. I have owned this for about 7 years now and it's still going strong as a little goes a long way. I recommend this to anyone who likes pink tone blushes and for fair to medium skin. Only thing i will say is I can't really say how it show up on deeper skin tones though as i have heard some people find it not very pigmented.
