I am very impressed with this BB Cream! It's definitely in my top 3 (I've used a lot of them!).
Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream is wonderful, it really evens out my skin and makes it look amazing. I hate having oily, red skin and this works wonders for that. It has an amazing matte finish and feels great to touch.
I would highly recommend it for someone who has oily skin and is looking for a product to help with that. It manages my oily T-zone throughout the day and I can come home from work and my face still won't be oily. It provides light but even coverage so is perfect on its own or underneath regular makeup, I do a mixture, depending on how much coverage I'm after. I wear it alone to work most days and it keeps my skin dry but not dried out. Love this product!
I’m a huge BB cream fan and am always trying new brands to find my perfect BB so was excited to be part of the BB cream trial.
I received this in ‘medium’. I have warm-toned skin but I found the colour of this has an orange under-tone which really stood out on my skin. The packaging of the product is lovely and sleek, however since the formula is extremely runny it pays not to open the tube with the cap pointing down unless you want to spill some like I did! I’m not a fan of the smell of the BB cream although it isn’t too noticeable, but giving it a thorough trial I gave it a good sniff and to me it reminded me slightly of paint, not exactly a scent you would want for something you are rubbing into your skin.
I first tried the BB cream by itself as directed on clean skin in place of my moisturiser. I applied it using both a damp Miracle Complexion Sponge and a flat-top foundation brush to compare the difference in application between the two. I used the bouncy side of the sponge to stipple the cream onto one half of my face, then the brush to stipple and buff the BB cream in. I prefer to use the brush to apply it as I found it provided a more even coverage of product and used a less product. I found that one layer of BB cream provided light coverage. This didn’t do much at all to cover my redness or any of my blemishes. I applied a second layer and it did give me a more medium coverage which provided a much more even skintone although didn’t do anything to reduce my pores. My skin did feel hydrated which I didn’t expect from such a runny formula, and the finish was pretty matte but did have a few shiny spots. These increased throughout the day and I found as time went on the BB cream transferred a lot, so this counted this method out for me.
Next I tried the BB cream as I would normally use foundation, after moisturising and applying a tone-adjusting primer. I used my foundation brush to stipple and popped a bit of concealer where I needed it, before setting with powder and a setting spray. This gave the perfect matte finish and a nice medium coverage, and the powder helped adjust the colour of the BB cream so it suited me better yay no more ompa lompah!
I found that by wearing the BB cream with primer and setting using a powder and finishing spray, I actually got 12 hours of wear without touch-ups! Really impressed with this. I have tried it without primer and setting spray, just powder and it does last pretty well throughout the day but I still prefer to use the whole shebang with it.
Although this does look great when applied right, I probably wouldn’t purchase this myself because I do prefer a more creamy consistency in my BB formula as I find this works better with my oily skin. The colour of the BB cream itself is also really different to my own and I would prefer to have a product I can wear alone. I would recommend this to people looking to try a BB cream who likes liquid formulas and has really warm-toned skin.
Tips: If the colour of the BB cream doesn't quite suit, you can help adjust it by either applying your standard powder, or mixing it in with your foundation for a heavier coverage.
