Garnier Skin Perfector BB Cream Nude Review

The first thing that struck me about this product was the scent, really nice and fresh. The coverage was perfect for a BB cream, sheer, but not to much so, with good coverage. Easy application, and it lasted well, even in the very humid Auckland February weather.

I have a mature sensitive skin with some redness on the cheeks. I have been using BB creams for many years and was interested to try the Garnier BB Cream Nude. I applied the Garnier BB Nude Effect as a regular moisturiser on my skin. I used half a pea size amount for each application and even applied a second layer for increased coverage. It didn't quite cover the redness as claimed. I like the consistency of the cream. It is creamy. The cream doesn't run out of the tube as you open it, as many other creams do. The pop-up lid makes it is easy to use and the lid closes well. The fragrance is nice and fresh. I tried it during the very hot and humid days of February in the Waikato region. The cream lasted well and kept my skin hydrated. It is also nice to have a SPF 15 UV protection. Unlike other BB creams I used, it is interesting to see that the texture is white. The texture has mineral pigments which adjust to match the skin tone. The cream is about $5 more expensive that the BB cream I usually use. I like using this product and would recommend it to my friends.

As a regular user of Garnier's Original BB cream this is a great alternative. I have olive skin and was rather skeptical of the "one shade fits all" claim but this product most definitely self adjusts to your skin tone and does not have red/yellow undertones. I would even go as far to say I am happier with the colour match of this than the normal/medium Garnier BB cream I usually use. Consistency and scent are the same as other Garnier BB creams - The consistency of the cream is thick-ish but goes onto the skin nicely and absorbs well. Scent is faint and pleasant, not at all overwhelming.

I have to say, I really like this Garnier BB Cream. The cream is very light in texture, so you don’t feel like you’re even wearing anything. When you squeeze it out of the tube, it just looks like moisturiser and has no colour, but somehow, it seems to miraculously match your own skin tone. I put some on half my face and the colour matched the other half of my face perfectly.

It has a light, fresh smelling fragrance and gave my face a nice, healthy looking glow. My skin looks smoother when I’m wearing it, but it doesn’t really look like I’m wearing any makeup. It just seems to smooth out the imperfections and my pigmentation wasn’t as noticeable. The tube it comes in, is easy to use as well.

I like that it has Vitamin C in it, which is meant to be very good for your skin. My skin looks very hydrated when I’m wearing it. If I had any criticism at all, it would be that the SPF factor is only 15 and I normally look for an SPF of 30 in my foundation. Having said that, it would probably feel thicker if it had an SPF of 30 and I really love its lightweight texture and how easy it glides on. If you want to have a higher protection factor than 15, you can always do what I do, and use a moisturiser with 30 SPF, under this BB cream.

I’ve enjoyed trialling this BB cream so much, that I will switch to using this now. All in all, I will definitely buy this BB cream and I would recommend it to my friends. I imagine you can purchase it at the supermarket, along with other Garnier products, which is always handy, as well.

This BB cream had a really nice smell and lovely consistency on the skin, it didn't feel too sticky straight after applying and I liked that it was very sheer and water based for these hot summers. I think this BB cream would be great for wearing at the beach when you want something light on your skin. I loved that it was SPF as well. I also loved that you could apply this onto your face without the use of makeup brushes. However, there were some cons for me with this BB cream. I didn't like how it was white out of the tube and then changed color onto the skin because I couldn't really see where I was putting it. This BB cream also went orange on my light-medium skintone and got into my hairline and eyebrows. It also made my eyes sting like crazy, I'm not sure why as I've never had this before, perhaps a allergic reaction??? After wearing it for a full day my face did go quite oily

I was so excited to try this as I currently use Maybellines B.B. cream in medium, and have used Garniers BB cream but found it wayyy to orange. It was odd first seeing that the cream was white but amazed me when I rubbed the cream between my fingers and the pigments changed a nice light beige colour. I applied the B.B. cream every morning using my fingers but found that it didn’t have much coverage at all even after a second application, it also made my face shiny throughout the day. I thought it might make a good moisturiser with the SPF rating if only it didn’t cause the shine. It did smell good though!

I've tried the original Garnier BB creams. In fact, it was my first foray into wearing foundation and was my go-to throughout uni. This cream is very similar. It has the same sort of packaging but I think this one is a bit pricier. The main reason is because this product comes out white, but blends nicely to a nude shade when you apply it. In terms of coverage, it does what it claims - lightweight and natural. I can still see a few of my uneven skintone underneath, but it's more uniform. Consistency is about the same as a moisturiser, so points there again. I've not noticed any extra luminosity or glow, however, but the product does sit on my skin with a slightly oily/sticky sheen. Two things I don't like is the smell. It's got added fragrance so not the best for my sensitive skin (although my skin seems fine accepting it). Quite perfume-y. Another aspect is that it's only SPF 15, which, in New Zealand, is the bare minimum I'd wear on a cloudy winter's day. For summer, I like that this is lightweight and a BB cream, but not idea for sun protection. Overall, will use up the bottle. It's reliable, but nothing amazing.

The cream reminds me of sunscreen it’s quite thick and white and I found It to have a really nice smell to it.

I put it on and was fascinated by its colour changing and that it had made my skin look healthy and glowing.

I did notice that the colour didn’t match my neck and was a lot darker this may have been more because it had changed to the colour of my face and had been blended down. So may pay to check you don’t end up with a line.

Was brilliant on a scorching hot day as well as the sunscreen factor worked brilliant and no sunburn at all.

Definitely will be repurchasing.

I have older mature skin and was eager to see how Granier BB Nude Effect would look on me. It was novel seeing the cream which was white when I put it on transform to blend and match my skin tone. Overall I found it blended well, provided a natural coverage and more importantly to me it was light and I didn't feel like I was wearing makeup. I was impressed with how well it stayed on during some pretty hot and humid days.

It was easy to apply and the tube has a good solid cap meaning it won't leak in your make up bag. A good size too I thought. I'm sure it will last a while even with daily use.

A little went a long way and you can choose to use more or less to get the cover you want.

The slight fragrance was to me fresh and pleasant.

I didn't so much notice any glow but was happy to have a more even skin tone. Although it is known for its hydrating properties, I still moisturised first and I know it has an SPF of 15 but I would like to have seen it higher, again my moisturiser provided more SPF and I was also using that.

In summary I was happy with the product - it did what is said it would and I was impressed with the universal shade on my olive skin. I would recommend it and I would use it again, especially in summer given how well it lasted and stayed looking great in the heat.
