This make up was easy to apply however didnt give me much coverage at all. I have a very uneven skin tone and i found myself still not happy with the coverage after two applications. I also have very sensitive skin and this make up did not irritate it at all.

Tips: Use a face cream first as it sticks to dry skin
I feel as if this product is not really for me. if I were to purchase it I would have wanted it so I could just slap it on the days I don't feel like wearing foundation however this just did not work :( it does seem like it is very thick however once applied it is definitely not. I trialled the sensitive version so I am assuming it had no perfume in it so there was no bad scent or anything it smelt fine :)
day 1 - I used just the BB cream on its own with nothing underneath and I felt it looked very oily and washed me out I looked terrible :(
day 2 - I used the BB cream with a primer underneath this seemed to tone down the shine a tad and it did give a more even coverage however did not last the day .. I found it had gotten quite patchy by about 2pm
day 3 - I used the BB cream with a primer underneath and Australis powder over top and it actually looked really nice! it gave me a flawless coverage and ALOT of compliments however as I would not buy BB to have to use primer and powder with it I don't think I would purchase this product again as I use BB cream for the convenience of quick application :)
Tips: use this product with a primer and a powder and it is flawless :)
In terms of delivering on its claims, this BB cream was a huge miss in my opinion. It takes "light coverage" to another level and after a couple of hours you can really notice patchy areas and places where it just seems to disappear completely which isn't attractive at all! Even on a good skin day you still want a wee bit of coverage - I can't be the only one who gets a rudolph nose in this cold weather! I really didn't find it made much of a difference to anything at all; skintone, redness or blemishes. The only pros are that it was hydrating and didn't make my skin break out horrendously which I appreciate. I received this to trial (Thanks BR!) but I must say I'm glad I didn't waste my money on it especially when there are others on the market that are magical in comparison.
My Skin Type: Im dry like the Sahara with a few dry patches around my nose area. To combat this I’m a bit of a product junkie and so this product is applied on top of serums, moisturiser AND a primer.
For me a BB needs to lean more towards the moisturiser side rather than foundation.
With the Garnier BB cream lets be real… This is a foundation. Straight up. It is a VERY thick formula. Much more so than any other foundation I own. Because of this thickness I applied with a synthetic buffing brush and blended til it felt like me arm was going to fall off.
Application was good, no noticeable areas of patchiness. But this is ORANGE. I have the shade medium which has a very strong orange undertone that made it unwearable for me during the day. When wearing it at night I had to take it all down my neck, over my ears etc etc just to blend in.
This smells like sunscreen which is expected from a BB cream. Its not unpleasant but noticeable.
Coverage is medium. Much better than I expected from a BB, so much so that for me it crossed the line into foundation town. The thickness, the application needed to blend it, the coverage… it’s a foundation.
With that in mind, I reviewed this as such. For a foundation lasting power was ok, a good few hours wear but by the end of the day it was clinging to my dry patches. Would I reach for It over my regular foundations? No. Would it do if I didn’t have anything else? Yes.
The big positive of this is that the finish is really lovely. Satin and skinlike with a nice glow. If you have normal skin this will look beautiful.
The BB aka Foundation comes in a sqeezy tube which gives good value for money (as you can get every drop) but it made it easy to push out too much. Surprised it runs so cheap! Good value for money – a nice choice for a first timer in the foundation world.
I don’t think the product does what it says – mostly because it isn’t skincare with a touch of foundation; its foundation with a touch of skincare. Having not worn this product for a long enough time I can’t speak to whether any of the skincare claims stand up. Nor is it easy to talk about the sensitive factor as I have nothing to really compare it with. In saying that, I didn’t have any adverse reaction nor did it break me out.
Overall it’s a nice foundation; not the best I’ve tried but also not the worst. It isn’t a BB cream.
Garnier, don’t put BB on the packaging just for the marketing hype… Thanks.
Tips: Synthetic brush to apply but make sure you reeeeeaaallllyyy blend it in.
It didn't match my skin tone very well and started to go orange, then it was peeling off halfway through the day.. It's thick and creamy and applies easy but doesn't provide good coverage. Has no fragrance, Finish is matte. Is cheap but not worth it in my opinion. Packaging was good. Wouldn't recommend to a friend.
Tips: Don't use too much or it starts to peel and look horrible
I got this product to test for free and was expecting a really good product Being BB cream But was highly disappointed. I got the light colour out of the 2 to choose from and it was still too dark for my skin making me feel like i had caked it on and not natural it also made me break out in pimples.
Tips: More range of colours
I was not that impressed with this BB Cream. I found that one coat wasn't enough to noticeably achieve anything, but 2 coats separated on my skin and was near impossible to blend/absorb in. My skin just didn't like it. I'll be sticking to a good primer instead.
Tips: Perhaps mix with a little foundation for a better coverage but still bare/natural look.
Unfortunately i was not to impressed with this product :( I had some high hopes after trying the oil free formula. I found it did even out my skin time but didn't get rid of any redness or blemishes at all.
When it came to application I found it very hard to apply I found it very hard o get a even layer over the skin. Also my skin looked a little to dewy for me after application.
When it comes to the hypoallergenic factor i had no reaction with is good but I didn't like to overall finish of it, and I prefer other BB creams on the market.
I have medium color it was to dark . Has a large volume of 50 ml. But the packaging is not convenient ,squeezed too much. Cream is very thick, but good cover face. Be looked good on face about 5 hours . I have sensitive skin and cream not caused any allergic reaction. Have nice smell. Price is good.
Tips: But cream not for oily skin. After application skin looks really oily and shine. I think it s really good for people with dry skin,or normal. But my opinion that cream not for me.
I found this product to be quite disappointing - I'll go through the things that Garnier says it does, and say what I thought of those claims.
Reduces redness - you can still see the redness in my cheeks, unless you try and apply it so heavily that it looks greasy. It doesn't really conceal blemishes either, I have had to wear concealer with this as well, so I definitely wouldn't say that it's an all-in-one product either. In terms of the UV protection, I don't think it's really adequate. No one would apply the 1/4tsp or so that you need to get the SPF 15, when I tried to the BB cream was sliding all over my face - and surely they must know that no one is doing that. So realistically it's more like an SPF of 3 or 4, which is in no way enough for the strong UV rays in NZ. Because it's a chemical sunscreen, it'd need to be reapplied every 2-3 hours, which you can't do if you're wearing other make up over this, so the sun protection element is basically worthless in my opinion. People who do not understand the science of sunscreen will be assuming that they are adequately protected while wearing this BB cream when they really aren't, so I actually think it'd be better to have left it out of the formula.
I also didn't find this to be particularly hydrating, I still wore moisturiser with it. It says it's for sensitive skin, and I didn't have any irritation from it, so that's good. I got this in the shade light and it matched well - I wear NW 20 in MAC foundations, for context.
Compared to the excellent BB creams available from Korea, Garnier has really missed the boat with this in my opinion. It's neither particularly moisturising, nor does it give good coverage. I'll hang onto it and use it for days when I just want a very light coverage but I'll still use a proper sunscreen with it.
Tips: Use an SPF 30 sunscreen underneath this if you want good protection from the sun.
