Garnier BB Cream - Sensitive Review - Medium

Really love this bb cream have been using it for ages. I have got both my sisters onto it. Smells great perfect for those lazy days!

After reading so many positive reviews about this, I went out to my local Countdown and bought myself one. Love that it's available in all supermarkets for a good price - super convenient to purchase. The packaging wasn't anything special but the product itself was great. For me, redness was reduced and my skin had a more even tone. It gets a little cakey in places but overall, it works well!

This BB cream, I love it. It's perfect for myself and anyone else who has sensitive skin. It gives me great coverage and doesn't feel caked on. It's not too pricey and lasts for hours. This BB cream ticks all the boxes for me.

I received this from the last vault and was keen to try it because my skin can get sensitive at times, with blemishes and redness and also uneven skin tone. The packaging is nice, and a generous sized 50 ml tube. I like the SPF15 factor as well. I found that this BB cream gives me more coverage than the previous Garnier BB cream that I used, which was for oily, combination skin. This one has more of a creamy, thicker texture than the other one which was more of a thin, runny texture. My skin is olive toned which can go pale in the winter, but I found the medium shade suited me. My skin looked less red and blotchy, more evenly skin toned and no itchiness or irritation. I would recommend this BB cream for a cost effective go to.

I find that when I use this product under my foundation that I get an even skin tone, and because the shade is medium, it gives me a sun-kissed look. I also find that when I take my makeup off at the end of the day, my skin isn't all dried out, it still feels soft and has no visible dryness to it.

I loved this product. Great coverage and not too heavy or oily. I have sensitive skin and had no issues while wearing it. My teenage daughter even stole it off me and used some. I found i didnt even need a concealer which was even better. Great all over makeup coverage for daytime wear.

Was pleasantly surprised upon testing this out . Was stoked to find the shade suited me almost perfectly . I have shade light and this is not orange or anything at all -think it would suit most skin types . I have dry/sensitive skin as this was so moisturising probably the most creamy BB cream I have tried and isn't runny-nice consistency. I must admit , the coverage is light but that's how it's meant to be . So nice for days you don't want heavy makeup but want a nice glow -very dewy and makes you look healthy. Even wore to the gym , expecting it to not last but it did?! Definitely will reuse and great for the price tag as well.

I got this to trial in the shade light, which was a perfect colour match for me. My skin is usually quite dry and I have red cheeks which I am constantly trying to minimise.

The consistency of this is quite thick - particularly when comparing it to other western bb creams. It isn't stiff but is creamy and kind of thick, which I like. Like other bb creams this is simple to apply. I used it both with my hands and brush and found I prefer to use my fingers - I just apply it like a lotion. One thing I didn't enjoy was the scent. It has a subtle sweet fragrant smell that I can't put my finger on. I didn't really like it but it is a very subtle smell that fades quickly when on your face, so the smell wouldn't put me off using this. The coverage is pretty good. I'd say the coverage of this is somewhere between a foundation and a tinted moisturiser, which is ideal when you don't want something heavy. The finish on this was slightly dewy, which I loved. This didn't cling or enhance any dry patches which is also a must for me with any kind of coloured product on my face, nor did it dry my skin out. I didn't use a primer under this and it lasted for around three hours before starting to break down, although it still looked good after mine hours. The only thing I noticed was that my redness became a little more apparent after around three hours, but it wasn't super obvious. I was pleasantly surprised by how well this held up throughout the day with no primer. I imagine that with primer it would last even longer I think the price is quite high when compared to Asian bb creams. However, compared to other western creams that are readily available to us in shops here, I think it is around the cheaper side of the spectrum, although I wouldn't pay full price for it (just because Korean bb creams you can get online are far cheaper). However, I think that if you are wanting a western BB cream and want something you can get from a store, this is worth the money. The packaging is average. For me, there is nothing aesthetically interesting about it but nor is there anything ugly about it. To look at, it is kind of boring and it wouldn't catch my eye in a shop. In terms of the use ability of the packaging, it functions well as you squeeze the tube and open the cap to get the product. I find this super easy to get the amount you want and it's really easy to keep clean, which I like. I haven't noticed any massive change in my redness but to be fair, my redness is triggered by temperature fluctuations so this cold isn't helping. It definitely has helped keep my skin hydrated and makes it appear fresh and dewy which is ideal for the cooler times when I want my skin to appear brighter. I would recommend this to a friend if they needed a Bb cream ASAP. If you are a newbie to BB and/or want something that you can pick up from a store rather than online, I definitely recommend this.

I was fortunate to have received this as a part of the trial. The packaging (box) is eye catching in black. The tube itself is much like many other BB creams, with the colour of the tube indicating the colour of the product. It is easy to dispense from the tube and comes out lovely and thick. I applied this on my face many ways to ensure I gave it a fair trial. I found that if I applied it with moisturiser and primer, it lasted much longer on my skin. It glides on easily and feels very moisturising. I chose the sensitive cream in medium colour, as my skin is quite olive and tends to be super sensitive, often ending up in dry red scaly and itchy patches. My first indicator of a reaction with a product is usually stinging within 5 or so minutes of application, and after using this product for a few days it is safe to say that I have had absolutely no problems with it which is great! The colour itself is a great match for my skin, and blended easily. The coverage was pretty good initially, hiding any redness or uneven skintone. It leaves a lovely dewy glow on my face, which I prefer much more than the matte look, especially now that fine lines are making an appearance! I did find that it didn't seem to last very well on my skin, and within 4 or so hours it had almost disappeared, unless I used a primer first. With a primer, it lasted closer to 6 hours, however my skin did feel lovely and moisturised for much longer. I would use this product again but would definitely use it with a primer. I didn't trial it under my foundation, but I intend to next time I do a full face of make up.

The first thing I noticed about this BB cream is it's very thick texture and how it smells of some chemical. I usually used Korean BB creams like Lioele and this compared to the one I use, this one has less coverage - it makes my skin looks natural and dewy. I have acne-prone skin and this BB cream did not break me out so it is suitable for sensitive skin. Another good thing about this is that it doesn't accentuate the dry patches of skin on my face (a lot of other bb creams tend to do this). Overall this is an O-K bb cream but it's not one I would wear everyday because of it's light coverage.
