Maybelline Superstay 30H Concealer

This is definitely a lightweight concealer, as described. It had an almost borderline water texture, so it was incredibly easy to blend into the skin and certainly did not feel cakey in any way while wearing. I do think the coverage could be bulked up a little bit, I found my dark circles were still quite noticeable, and my blemishes weren't covered amazingly. You can certainly layer it to build up the coverage, though. I didn't notice any major creasing under the eye, so it seems to not dry out majorly while wearing. The main thing I'm not particularly a fan of is the wand applicator, as they can't be sanitized/cleaned, but that's not an exclusive issue to this brand or product.

Overall I think it's a nice, blend-able, and light concealer, but I probably wouldn't use it for anything that requires heavy coverage. It's a good choice for natural everyday makeup.

I was really excited to try the Maybelline Superstay 30H Concealer as I have dark circles under my eyes that always seem to be there. I found this concealer to be lightweight and perfect for this particular area. The tube that it comes in is very attractive and the application wand makes it very simple to use.

I used this concealer on freshly washed skin over moisturizer and both alone, under foundation, and over bb cream. Under the eyes, the concealer went on really smoothly and gave good coverage without being too heavy. Because it is quite a light concealer I found that it didn't cover up my freckles and spots as well as some other concealers. In saying that the Maybelline concealer was much better over fine lines, not clogging them up as other concealers can do. Because it is more lightweight it feels lovely on the skin and I would think it would be good for contouring without feeling like you have many layers of makeup covering your skin.

The application was very simple and it seemed to stay on really well. A big bonus is the price point. Overall this is a fabulous lightweight concealer that is great for under-eye dark circles!

I was so excited to try this concealer out, thanks BR. This is yet another great concealer from Maybelline but with the staying power we’ve all been searching for. The packaging is really nice and looks like it belongs to a much more expensive brand. It clicks when you shut it so you know it won’t leak in your bag. The applicator isn’t my favourite as it doesn’t pick up a lot of product but it’s easy enough to get more as it can easily be built up. I would say this was a medium coverage concealer but almost undetectable on the skin. It blends really well with fingers or a sponge and is very long wearing. I had it on for at least 15 hours and it looked exactly the same as it did when I applied it under my eyes. I have one very watery eye and this didn’t affect it at all. Unfortunately for me it isn’t the most flattering under my ageing eyes but it’s the best concealer for covering up redness and blemishes. I wear it on days when I’m not wearing foundation and it makes my skin look so even and clear. This is definitely going to be a permanent fixture in my makeup drawer.

My concealer was almost empty when this turned up so I was very keen to get stuck in.

The packaging was a bit more luxe than previous Maybelline concealers I've used, although it is plastic I like the rectangle shape of the product, it makes it feel a bit more fancy.

The wand is a sort of paddle shape, and the consistency of the concealer I would put at a medium consistency - not super thick but not sheer either. The product does however have a bit of a paint like fragrance.

In terms of wear - I can't comment on the 30 hour claim as I respect my skin too much - but I did find this concealer to wear very well. It blended in nicely under my eyes using both just a finger, or the end of my beauty sponge. It wore well throughout the day and didn't crease under my eyes which is rare! It did give a nice brightening effect under the eyes. This concealer is perfect for daily wear as it lasts on the skin well while feeling light and comfortable.

This matte finish concealer is a good full coverage concealer. Although it is full cover and long-lasting, it does sink into the skin nicely (see my tips below for a skin-like finish). The colour was a perfect match for me and my skin base I use. I used this concealer on the days where I was at work (and looking tired!) and it lasted nicely with a good finish. It has a nice texture and when used sparingly it builds up well without caking or settling into lined.

This was a great opportunity to try this concealer it's so easy to apply to hard to reach areas , and goes on smoothly and did not cake up after wearing all day. It has a slightly medical sent but apart from that it's a great product and definitely worth trying. It's certainly better than my other stick concealer, Thanks .

I was excited for this concealer as I have under eye dark circles and red broken capillaries on one of my cheeks and the claim was that it would wipe out dark circles and imperfections ... exciting if it works!

I liked the applicator as it was flexible, gentle on my skin and not messy when taking in and out of the bottle. I really like the bottle too. It was easy to hold, stood nicely in my cosmetics draw and I loved how easy the lid was to undo and do back up - it felt very secure. My favourite part was the transparent front so you could see the colour of the concealer ... that was a nice touch.

There was no scent which was a positive but sadly that is where my enjoyment ended. I found the concealer very thin and watery and it stuck to any dry patch on my face that it could fine and looked terrible... especially around my nose. It definitely did not cover my dark circles but did find its way to sit in the fine lines under my eyes which made my under eyes look worse than they normally do. I tried to build it up a little to see if that would help cover the dark circles but it just became cakey and I could still see the dark circles shining through. I also used it on my cheeks to cover broken capillaries which it did cover quite nicely for the whole day however whilst doing that it made me look like I had massive pores which I had not seen before.

For me this concealer was not a winner and I think Maybelline have other concealers more suited to my skin and needs.

I was super excited to try this concealer, but I found it wasn’t the best for my dry skin. Went quite patchy in places and more highlighted every imperfection than concealing it. It was a little bit better when my skin wasn’t as dry, but I’d prefer a product I could use regardless of how my skin was each day so not for me.

The unique shaped brush allows you to control how much to put on. Depending on the purpose of the concealer, I'd imagine this small bottle will last a long time.

It's smooth to put on but depending on the state of your skin, it can show up dry patches. I'm usually light or light/medium shade so it showed up quite a bit, however I could cover it with a powder to match my skin tone.

I can't say it'd stay on for 30 hours, especially with mask wearing.

I really loved trialling this product - thank you so much! My first impressions when opening the product were that the applicator was pretty cool. It is a wee soft curved paddle, which feels really nice when applying the product, particularly under the eyes.

The texture of this product is a bit runnier than Im used too, as I have been using a thicker creamy concealer. I actually really liked this product, as I found that the thinner texture did not mean the coverage was any less - and it was alot easier for me to blend than the thicker ones. When blended, I was really surprised by how much it did look like a second skin. I probably selected a shade too light, but it actually worked really well to brighten up areas of my face that needed it. It was great on the sides of my nose, which get a bit red in the colder months.

In terms of how long it lasts, I was impressed. This product stayed in place all day, even with me taking my mask off and on regulalry. The only reason I marked this 4/5 for using this product again and doing what it said it would was due to the lighter shade. This meant it was perfect for under eye darkness and my red nose, but it wasnt as good for covering a small spot. I would need a darker shade for this otherwise it drew attention to it by being a bit lighter. I would recommend this 100% if it is the correct shade for what you want to use it for. I will probably buy a darker shade, as I really like how the formulation feels and blends.
